Chapter 10: Muddled Destinies Revealed

Phoebe, Piper, and Prue Halliwell shuddered at the darkness that permeated the town they were in. Leo was at their side and looked to be in great pain. They had come to the Hellmouth after finally getting a hit on the Dark Mage�s power signature. That he was on the hellmouth was frightening. The amount of magic that he could pull in alone was enough to destroy them alone.

They knew who the man was and what he was capable of, but Leo had been told that it was imperative for him to get the Charmed Ones to the hellmouth, the three young witches had decided not to go after the Mage, but the Elders demanded it.

Now they were standing in a hospital looking at a group that was literally shining with power. Two of the women, well more a woman and a teenage girl, turned to look at them. �Who are you?� the red-haired girl asked.

�We�re the Charmed Ones and this is our White Lighter Leo. The Elders told us we had to come here and help someone named Xander?� Piper answered. Leo had told them that the Elders said that they had to tell the group the truth.

�We know who the Mage is that attacked you.� Leo said softly, he could feel the injured in the room the group stood in front of, but he could also feel the call of a white lighter, bound to a vampire. The elders wanted the binding broken. Why Leo didn�t know, all he knew was that if the binding remained in place many would die, including the boy and the Vampire known as Spike.

�I also have a message from the Elders for Alexander�s mate and parents.� Leo said nervously, he wasn�t the best at dealing with people who were not his charges.

The group was wary, but led the way into the room. When Leo saw Francesca and Tony Harris, he gasped and raced across the room. The two demons pulled the White Lighter into their arms and hugged him tightly.

�Leo?� Piper called confused as to why her lover was hugging the two strangers.

Leo turned to face her, yet not letting go of the Elder demons. He blushed slightly at having everyone looking at him. �They are friends, they took care of me once when I was injured by a Dark Lighter, and the Elders consider them allies. They are the demon version of the Slayer.�

Phoebe nodded, but looked to the left a shocked gasp coming from her. She stepped forward, tears filling her eyes. When she looked back at Leo, there was anger on her face. �Do not break their bond. If you do you will destroy Xander.�

�The Elders said if we don�t many will die.� Leo said looking at the two holding him and then back to the sisters.

�It was not an Elder that spoke to you.� A voice called, and then a swirl of white lights shown with a elegant black woman appearing a few minutes later.

�Destiny, what is happening?� Leo asked confused.

�Great changes have come and destinies have changed. The Powers want to keep their game going, but already with the arrival of the Immortals on the Hellmouth. Now that the Charmed Ones have come here, things have changed again. Leo, you will be the Father of the first generation of Charmed Sons. Wyatt and Chris will be the beginning of the change. Alexander was to be the Father of a White Slayer, a Slayer used to birth stronger slayers. One of those Slayers would have married with Wyatt�s descendant bringing the knowledge of the dark to normal human�s eyes and instituting a treaty between the dark and the light. The Powers manipulated things so that this would not happen. Unfortunately, they threw the balance to the side of the dark and in trying to change things they made it worse. Now they are trying to correct the mistakes that they have made. However, the Elders, and myself have decreed that they cannot make the changes they wish too. In seeing the new future we agree that things must go, as they will. Added to the Charmed Ones will be a sister a sister that already exists, but is floundering, trying to find her place. Leo heal the boy and protect him, he is more important that you can imagine.� Destiny said gently before disappearing. In her place stood a young woman, who was looking at them in confusion, trying to figure out just what was going on. She was not alone in this.
