After finishing her small meal, Tara returned to the wing Willow was in. The second she walked through the doorway to the waiting room, she was startled by a tight hug from Dawn. After the moment of shock, she hugged the young girl back gently.
"Is she okay..?" Dawn asked once she pulled out of the hug a bit. Tara frowned,
"She's.. Stable…" She paused sadly before adding, "Well.. Health wise.." Buffy walked up next to her sister with a frown,
"Did something happen? I could hear some doctors yell something about her room before running away a little while ago." Tara glanced at each of the scoobies with a sad sigh,
"When she woke up.. She.. Freaked out. She was scared of me.. She tried to get out of the bed and doctors came to try and calm her but she-" Tara swallowed roughly when her voice threatened to crack, "She wouldn't calm down and when they tried to sedate her she.. She.. Attacked them.." She flinched at each of their gasps, gripping her shirt tightly in her fists.
"Attacked? How..?" Xander asked quietly,
"She.. She hit the needle from the one guys hand and then.. Then she bit the other one.. It took almost seven doctors and nurses to hold her still so they could sedate her.." Tara flinched at the gasps again,
"Bit him..?"
"S-She was scared-" Tara quickly started to defend Willow, "She's confused and it was a bunch of strangers and-" Giles put a gentle hand on her shoulder,
"We understand, Tara." Tara nodded slowly, biting her lip against tears,
"Th-They r-restrained her to the b-bed…" She was pulled into a group hug when her tears spilled over.

~Willow was running from her again. She didn't know exactly why, she just knew she did something wrong.
"Get back here, you little bitch!" Even though she was running as fast as she could, she still caught up to her. Willow shrieked when she was tackled to the floor. "I gave you everything! And you still go to that bitch?" Her girlfriend screamed at her, starting a rain of punches to her face. "What did she ever do for you?! She never loved you, who could?!" Willow eventually gave up struggling. She knew it was no use. "I've been the one to take care of you, and you betray me for a corpse?!" She was suddenly gone, leaving Willow in a dark room again, her cheeks throbbing. "When I find you, both of you will regret the day you were born.." Willow screeched when a large wave crashed over her, once again drowning her in her own mind..

Willow tried to sit up when she woke from her nightmare, breathing heavily when she found herself restrained. {She found me again! Where's Tara? Is Tara okay?!} She yanked at the straps while panic crashed over her like the water in her dream. {How did she find me?!} A voice in her mind screamed while another sneered in response, {She'll always find you.} She froze in fear when a voice reached her mind.
"Stop that!" Even though it was just an annoyed nurse, Willow saw it as Kennedy and cowered, whimpering in fear. "Why are you whining now?" The nurse grumbled, approaching her. Willow started to yank on the straps again, harder. "Hey, stop that, lay back down-" Willow screamed loudly when the nurse tried to push her back down onto the bed by her shoulder.

The group hug was interrupted by a blood-curdling scream that made Tara's hard drop. Xanders voice suddenly broke through her terror,
"Was that-"
"Willow!" She gasped, running towards the room even before her word was finished.
"I'M SORRY!" Tara ran faster. Did Kennedy find Willow?! She, quite literally, burst through the curtain of Willows small room. Willow was curled tightly in the bed - as best she could in the straps at least - sobbing and trembling. "Sorry.. Sorry.. Please dont hurt me.. Sorry.." Tara barely heard Dr. Parker yelling at a nurse from the far corner of the room, at Willows side in an instant. Willow flinched away with a whimper, breaking Tara's heart.
"Willow! Willow, sweetie! Its just me! Its Tara!" Despite the redheads former reaction to her hand being held, Tara couldn't keep herself from grabbing the shaky hand gently. "You're okay.. Its okay.." Willow slowly lifted her head to look at her with puffy red eyes, sniffling with a small hiccup of a sob,
"T-Tara..?" Tara knelt beside the bed, kissing her hand gently.
"I'm here. You're safe sweetie…" Willow hiccupped again quietly, nuzzling her head closer to Tara.
"I thought-"
"Shh.. You're okay.. Everything's okay.." Willow suddenly pulled her head away, looking around.
"Y-You can't be here-" Willow gasped, trying to scramble away from her, yanking her hand away. "S-Sh-She'll find y-you-" Tara's heart sank.
"She can't find you Willow, you're safe-"
"You don't know that! S-She always finds me!"
"Will-"
"No! G-Get away!" Tara flinched away at her screech, searching her mind for something - anything she could say to calm her down.

When Willow saw Tara, she had calmed down for a moment - Tara always made her feel safe. But then she remembered her dream and Kennedy. She was still out there, and Willow was sure she was trying to track her down. If she found out that she was with or near Tara… Willow knew she had to keep Tara - and the rest of her friends - away from her to protect them. If Kennedy caught them without Buffy, they'd be doomed… And Willow couldn't let that happen. She wasn't sure what to think about anyone anymore. She knew she could trust Tara, but she knew if Kennedy got the chance that she would kill her. But was Kennedy only trying to help her? Perhaps she was going about it in a bad way, but didn't she love her? Or was she trying to break her? Willow wasn't safe from anything, even her mind. She was constantly drowning in her thoughts and conflictions. But she knew one thing for sure. She couldn't - Wouldn't - let Tara get hurt. When Tara flinched, the hurt in her eyes made Willows heart ache but she shoved the feeling away. Tara was innocent, she didn't deserve to be in Kennedy's crosshairs just because of her. "GO!" She forced herself to yell, trying to shake her tears away. She looked away, seeing tears grow in Tara's eyes.
"Willow-"
"Just go!" Willow shouted before squeezing her eyes shut, hearing Tara rush from the room. {She'll be safer this way..} She tried to convince herself, flopping her head down on the pillow, staring at the ceiling dully.

Tara felt like she couldn't breathe. Did Willow really just yell at her until she left? Something must have happened - a mind control spell maybe? From what she had seen, Kennedy was quite controlling so she wouldn't put it past her. But she knew deep down that there was no spell. Willow was traumatized, and there wasn't much she could do to help if Willow didn't want to be helped. Someone grabbed her arm, startling her into elbowing them.
"Jeez! Tara, it's just me!" Tara turned, looking at the ground in an attempt to hide her tears.
"Oh.. Sorry Buffy-"
"Is everything okay?"
"I-" Tara looked around, deciding to change the subject, "Where did everyone else go?"
"Well Dawn had school and Xander had work. I told Giles to go home and get some rest." Buffy paused, narrowing her eyes, "What happened? Is Willow-"
"Willows fine.. Sort of." Buffy waved a hand towards two chairs, waiting until she sat down and continued. "She's afraid that Kennedy will find her again.. I think.." Tara accepted a tissue gratefully before continuing, "I think she's afraid Kennedy will hurt us if she finds we've been near her. I tried to tell her she was safe but-"
"I could go try to convince her." Buffy offered, "I'm not afraid of Kennedy, shes an amuater slayer. I could tell Willow that i wont let her get near anyone-" Tara sighed,
"You cant do everything Buffy.. She knows that you can't be here all the time."
"Then I'll get Vi and Rona to watch over her-" Tara frowned in confusion,
"Are they friends?" Buffy shrugged,
"Sort of. They're both slayers and fought the first with us."
"..But are we sure they won't take Kennedy's side? She got into Willows head, she could definitely get into theirs. Then you would have two more slayers to be aware of." Buffy frowned, looking down.
"I wish Spike was here. He would help, and he knows everyones tricks.. He could have watched Willow after dark and leave before sunrise to give me time to rest, and he'd be stronger than Kennedy for sure.." Tara frowned, realizing that she indeed hadn't seen the blonde vampire. She had assumed he was busy.. But was he..? Buffy looked over, blinking tears from her eyes and clearing her throat before continuing, "In the battle with the first.. He used an amulet that levelled Sunnydale and took the uber-vamps with it but.. It dusted him.."
"Oh, Buffy I'm-" Buffy just shook her head and raised a hand.

Kennedy had been on the run since Willow had been found, finally stopping at a rest stop for a quick break. {Did they manage to save her?} Kennedy wondered with a frown. She really hadn't meant for that to happen. Something deep inside her kept telling her everything she had done was wrong, not only that, but she pushed it away. She had been protecting Willow from demons and vampires and provided for her. All Willow has done was whine and complain. Was it too much to ask for some respect? She did all the work. Kennedy's eyes narrowed, fists clenching the steering wheel as she started the car back up. It was that bitch Tara. Everything had been fine until she came back. She pulled onto the road, driving back the way she had come. Everything would go back to normal if she was dead again. Then there would be something for Willow to whine about.
