Chapter 10: Welcome to the Hellmouth
Yes this is going to be a very short chapter but it’s just Venka’s first and very short meeting with the Scoobies.
Chapter 10: Welcome to the Hellmouth
Streets of Sunnydale
July 8, 8:15pm local
Sunnydale, CA.
Venka’s POV
I pull up to the Welcome to Sunnydale sign and nearly laugh myself off my bike, some smart ass spray painted a arrow pointing down by the population number on the sign. I just shake my head, seems at least one person in this town has my sense of humor, don’t know if that’s a good thing or not. I gun the engine and head into town looking for a place to stay for the rest of the night.
As I turn around a bend in the road I see a sign for the “Sunnydale Motor Lodge” and it has a vacancy, good I need some sleep. I pull in to a parking space in front of the office and walk in asking for a room. I get the once over from the older gent behind the counter before he hands me a key saying is 20$ a night, I nod and hand him a twenty taking the key and turn to leave, but as I do so the guys tells me not to invite anyone in to my room unless the sun is up. I look and the guy and nod my head and head out moving my bike it to the room it’s self. I crash on one of the beds after setting my watch alarm to go off at 8am. Ahh sleep is a wonderful thing.

Venka’s POV
After getting up I take a quick shower, pack my stuff back in to my saddle bags and leave the Motor Lodge with a wave to the day manager. I head in to town planning to look for a place to stay in while I’m in town, maybe a house to rent or buy. As I pass by a store I sense a few strong magical presences, being curious I decide to take a look, so I pull in to a parking space and head in to the “Magic Box“.
I look around; it’s a cute store though the guy dressed up as a wizard is a little off in the head. As I look around my eyes land on the five presences I felt from the street. Two are witches and pretty powerful by the feeling I get from the two, though they aren’t in my league, they still have a lot of power. The other is a ex-demon, vengeance if my senses are right, the third is coming from the guy dressed as a wizard and he has the feel of a magic user a dark one to boot, though he feels like he is changing his ways and the rest I’m of what getting off of him is that he is a Watcher, hmm so the Slayer should be nearby.
With that thought I turn around and my eyes land on the fifth presence in the shop. It’s none other then the Slayer; she is quite the pretty thing, small in height, delicate build, long blonde hair, green eyes and tanned skin. A lovely creature, I can see why my father wants her, though something is familiar about her. Then it hits me, she looks a lot like Isabella did, a bit shorter maybe but still very close. I wonder if their related? I’ll find out later right now I need to go find a place to stay as long as I’m here.
