A/N: I know it has been a long, long time since I have added anything to my unfinished stories. Well I am hoping to change that by starting back with this one. Hope you all enjoy.Telling Joyce and Dawn what had happened was truly one of the most difficult tasks Tara had ever had. While Giles tried to relay to Joyce what had happened with Buffy, he was unable to finish due to his great anguish and Tara had stepped in. Explaining to Joyce was hard enough but Dawn was a whole other matter. The young teen could do nothing but sob and scream that it was her fault Buffy was in this condition. Tara had finally taken Dawn outside the town limits to a small lake where they spent the day meditating and beginning the healing process on their hearts. Now, three days after Buffy’s fateful meeting with Glory things were beginning to settle, somewhat.
Buffy was still unconscious for the most part seeming to wake only in the midst of a nightmare. She would scream and thrash until the group had to restrain her to keep her from hurting herself or any of those looking after her. The only one she seemed to stay calm around was her sister and Dawn was only too glad to be there for her savior. As for Willow, the young witch struggled with her newly acquired addiction every minute of the last three days. Tara was beside herself with worry but with no one else to rely on the blonde witch was doing everything in her power to help her lover to deal with the dark magicks still roiling around in her system. Xander and Anya had all but moved in with the Summer’s family, but were preparing to go back to their jobs since neither could afford to stay away from them for too long. Sitting in the living room of the Summer’s residence, the Scoobies were a weary bunch. Coming up the stairs from checking on Buffy, Joyce says quietly, “She seems to be sleeping now, and Dawn will stay with her while we talk.” Sitting down beside Giles on the couch, the older Summers woman asks, “Isn’t there someway we could get a doctor in here, Rupert?” as she accepts a glass of water from Tara. Taking off his glasses to rub at his grainy eyes, the ex-watcher sighs heavily before stating, “I have spoken to the Council and they have agreed to send one of their Mystical Healers. They believe there is more to Buffy’s trauma then the physical and even mental wounds she has obtained.” Nodding her head, Tara speaks quietly, “After recharging at the lake I was able to read more deeply into Buffy’s Aura. There is definitely something m-m-more going on than just what we can see on the o-outside, Mrs. Summers.” Before Joyce can ask anything more, all heads in the room turn at the sound of the doorbell ringing. Standing quickly Joyce and Tara both go to answer the door together, leaving the others to wait on them to continue the meeting. Opening the door, Joyce gasps softly seeing who has rung the bell, “Faith!” causing Tara to step quickly up beside her with a binding spell on the tip of her tongue. Taking a moment to observe the dark slayer with her magick, Tara realizes she is not a threat and puts a gentle hand on Joyce’s arm, saying to Faith, “You’re welcome to come in Faith, but please know that things are pretty bad here right now.” Nodding her head seriously Faith moves to follow the two women in saying gruffly, “Yeah, Queen C had a vision of B getting hurt something bad, so they sent me to cover the Hellmouth while she’s healing.” Closing the door behind them Tara shakes her head softly knowing there has to be more to the story than that, but accepting what Faith has said as reason enough for her to be there, for the time being.- You need to be logged in to leave a review for this story.You need to be logged in to leave a review for this story.
