Turn 1 Game

Xander took a few deep breaths. He was back in the library, staring at the computer. Just moments ago he had been with Buffy, watching her play with her pussy, and then, amazingly, she hadn’t killed him when she caught him.

She’d been pissed, sure, but also kind of aroused.

“Not possible,” Xander muttered. “Buffy’s not going to be into me that easily, even in a pervert reality?”

“What about Buffy and perverts?”

Xander looked away from the computer to see Willow sitting across the table from him. “Will!”

“Uh, yeah?” she asked confused by his excitement.

“You’re here!”

“That should be pretty obvious.”

“It’s just really good to have you, uhm, here, wherever here is.”

Willow looked around, “It’s the library.”

“Well yeah, but is that…” Xander started to say, but then noticed a flashing message on the computer.

WARNING: Do not talk to your companions about the program. You may ask them for advice about people or how something should be done, but you may never mention the program.

“Yep, yep, this is the library,” Xander said quickly, not want to test what would happen.

“Okay, now that we got that covered,” Willow said as she went back to reading her book.

Xander took a moment to compose himself and then looked at the screen. The game was back up, though it looked a little different then it had during the setup phase. He had 330 points, 120 Mojo, and 5 actions.

The screen was divided into a few sections. At the top was:
Improve Base: Check on what you have access to and spend points to make improvements. This does not use an action.
Party Actions: Take an action that involves the entire party.
Gain Mojo: You come across a sexual scene. It could be someone teasing you, a voyeur event, a particularly dirty conversation, or anything else sexual. Regardless of what happens, you gain 25 Mojo.

Xander scanned over the options. He didn’t really have a party so party actions didn’t make much sense yet. And if he didn’t have a party, he didn’t really need to improve his base. He looked at the gain Mojo option, and while he liked the talk about sex, he didn’t really need any more Mojo points. Or at least he thought he didn’t, he wasn’t sure what they were used for.

“Let’s see what I can do to make myself better,” Xander said as he clicked on ‘Improve Xander’”

“Okay, backing out of that for a moment,” Xander said as he exited the screen. If he needed it, he’d come back to it.

He next clicked on ‘Check Events’, that sounded important:
Uncle Rory's Job Offer: Your Uncle Rory has some work that needs to be done quick. And unlike most of your relatives, he is actually willing to pay.
Do the Work: Xander gains the money friendship trait which makes dates easier.

Clean the School: The school is in need of some assistance for cleaning. No pay, but it will count as extra credit improving grades by 3 and relationship with teacher characters as if you took a basic friendship action with them. This will increase stress by 25

“That just seems like another way to improve myself,” Xander said as he once again back out.

The rest of the board seemed to actually be divided up into the people. At the top was listed Willow and he clicked her image:
Willow
Willow is a perfect student at Sunnydale. She has a massive crush on her best friend, Xander, but he is oblivious of her sexual feelings.

“So Willow’s options are different than mine,” Xander mumbled.

“What was that?” Willow asked.

For a moment Xander almost didn’t say anything, then he figured he might as well check, “I’m just talking about progress. You have different things that you could make better than me.”

“Well yeah, everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. Some things you just don’t have any skillin.”

Xander looked through the options and saw the Remove Friendzone. It seemed to be completely prohibiting sexual interactions with Willow, so he clicked on it:

Confirm?

“No, don’t confirm,” Xander whispered. That was almost all of his points and they seemed important.

He went back to her page. She had stats, but he wasn’t really sure what the scale was. She also had actions she could take. She had an actions stat, so he guessed that the numbers on unique actions drained how much she could do.

“First, let’s look at the other characters,” Xander said as he exited her character sheet.

The next listed section was “Friends”, though there wasn’t anyone present. Below that was neutral characters: Fred, Tara, Veruca, and Angel. He saw that Tara’s relationship toward him was like, while Fred and Angel were neutral. He took a moment to study Tara’s character.

Xander’s eyes went to the sexual interactions, “That is a huge cost to have a relationship with Tara.”

“Yeah, she’s a lesbian,” Willow said from the other side.

“Right,” Xander mutttered. He also noted that it seemed like she didn’t have any actions she could take, he probably had to get her in his party first.

He went back again. Below neutral were rivals. In this section was Buffy, Cordelia, and the Popular Students. He looked at the Popular Students first and saw they were actually bitter rivals. However, they still seemed to be inactive from his actions during the setup turn, so they weren’t currently a concern.

Cordelia was a rival, not a bitter rival any longer, but also inactive. So he was left one place to look, Buffy:

“What it with girls having negative desires toward me?”

“Oh, I’m sure I could point out a girl who is really into you,” Willow suggested.

Xander knew what she meant, but in the game he still seemed to be unable to think of her as more than a friend.

He looked over Buffy’s character again. Unlike the friendship options Tara had, the rival choices were more adversarial. Her stats were quite powerful though.

He backed out of the screen and looked over the characters. Only five actions. What to do?

He looked over at Willow and his mind was made up. Time to get his younger self over his worst hangup. He went to her character, went to the traits section, and then paid the price to remove friendzone.

He was down to 55 points, 120 Mojo, but he still had 5 actions. It looked like changing characters didn’t affect his actions.

He clicked on Willow’s character and the bottom of the screen was quite different:
Sexual Interactions: Willow has a desire of 115 toward Xander and an attraction of 70.

10 Mojo: Heavy Flirting: You have a more intense, flirtatious meeting. This increases your relationship by 172.5 and gains 5 points.

20 Mojo: Lovers: Start a more intense relationship with heavier sexual actions, get 30 points per turn, and 60 points right now.
40 Mojo: Committed: Go to a committed relationship with all sexual actions open, get 60 points per turn, and 120 points right now.

“No reason not to dive right in,” Xander said as he selected committed. The Mojo cost was a lot less than it had been with anyone else, and he could use the points it gave him.

He was back up to 175 points, 80 Mojo, and 4 actions. He looked over at Willow and noticed she was squirming in her chair. He suddenly remembered he was going to be experiencing his choices and wondered what their first time would be like. Given the world, probably not an awkward kiss.

He selected Willow again, but her options had disappeared. Instead replacing it was:
60 Restore this character to active

“I need Buffy,” Xander thought, “but I don’t have a great friendship score with her and no option to take the friendship choices. Willow did have the befriend Buffy option. Let’s do that.”

He paid the points to restore Willow, then selected her to befriend Buffy. Buffy was now in the neutral category, though her relationship was listed as dislike.

“That worked pretty well,” Xander thought as he again reactivated Willow, this time he had her befriend Tara.

Tara now popped in the friends category. There was a cost of zero to have her join the party.

“Buffy first,” Xander said. He didn’t have enough points to reactivate Willow, so he again clicked on Buffy and looked to the social interactions:
You have a friendship rating of 15 with Buffy, a social difficulty of 12, and a standing of 65. You can take the following actions to improve your relationship:
0: Casual Interaction: This action always has a cost of zero. You will have a very basic interaction and improve your standing by 8
50: Regular Interaction: You will have a very positive meeting and improve your standing by 16
420: Friendly Interaction: You will have a very friendly time with Buffy and improve your standing by 32
1700: Great Interaction: You will have an amazing event and improve your standing by 48
250: Joins the Party: The character will become a permanent member of your party.

“Hmm, my friendship score has improved with her quite a bit,” Xander said as he selected regular interaction, it as the most he could afford.

He was relieved to see that moved Buffy up to the friendship level. The cost to have her join the party, 30, was more points than he had, so he instead selected Tara and had her join the party.

“That’s everything,” Xander said. “Now to look forward to what is about to happen. I think I’m getting hang of…”
