Sorry for such short chapters, gang. I promise they will get longer as the story proceeds.Seeing Buffy chained to the bed with Glory pounding into her with what looked to be a horse-sized dildo made of stone, something inside of Willow just snapped as she hears the crazy goddess’s mocking words. Not truly thinking only feeling a hatred so deep well up in her the redhead screams, “You fucken bitch!” before throwing her hands out to levitate the smirking hell goddess off of her friend to have her slam into the wall on the far side of the room.
Rushing to Buffy’s side Tara begins releasing the manacles using her own magic as Willow not done yet moves toward Glory who is staggering up from the floor to face her, growling, “Finally a challenge.” but not giving her a chance to do much more than take a breath Willow blasts the surprised goddess with white streams of lightening shooting out from her fingertips screaming incoherently in her massive rage and her red hair begins to turn black along with her burning eyes staring hatefully at the creature who would do such a thing to her Slayer. Covering Buffy with the bedspread Tara yells, “Giles take Buffy out of here! I need to stop Willow!” and goes to move toward her lover only to stop as she hear Buffy’s rasping voice from below her, “Use the chains –Hephaestus – can’t break ‘em.” Nodding as she realizes what the traumatized Slayer is saying, Tara squeezes her hand gently before shifting to allow Giles and Anya to carry Buffy from the room and she turns to deal with her girlfriend before it’s too late telling Zander, “Get these chains ready to use, Zander.” Then approaches Willow very cautiously. Watching as Glory writhes in mid-air the pain so intense the hell-goddess is actually tearing at her own skin in an effort to rid herself of the excruciating agony, Tara sees that Willow won’t let up until she drains herself completely and blood is streaming from her nose in reaction to the immense powers working through her. The blonde Wicca prays, “Goddess help me, please.” as she mutters a powerful separating spell which throw her lover back from the connection to the demon-goddess breaking Willow’s hold on the power she was wielding and a sob catches in Tara’s throat.Rushing to Willow’s side as she tells Zander, “Wrap Glory in those chains and make damn sure they’re locked tight.” and she kneels down to scoop her dazed lover into her arms rocking her gently as she says, “Oh Will, oh my love, I’m sorry, but you were draining yourself, and Sweetie I – I just can’t lose you, love.”
Slowly coming back to herself Willow reaches a weak hand up to graze Tara’s tear-streaked face whispering, “Sorry baby, so sorry to force your hand. Love you, Tar.” as Tara kisses the top of her head murmuring soothingly to her Zander says from behind them, “She’s wrapped up tight, but um – she’s not a she anymore.” causing both witches to turn to look at what their friend could be talking about.TBC
