“I want to keep that particular box safe, it has the scroll in it, so put it up front. I don’t want it to get lost.” Kelly yells after Faith as she carries the box towards the hummer.
“Yeah, yeah. Bitch, bitch, bitch, gripe, gripe, gripe. Chill the fuck out, already.” Faith bitches as she takes the box to the Hummer, not the moving truck.
“Heads up!” Buffy yells from the main bedroom window, looking down at Kelly, grinning.
“Toss it!” Kelly smirks as Buffy drops the box. Catching it, she sets it aside as Buffy starts tossing box after box down to her.
“That’s all of them for now.” Buffy leans halfway out of the window. “I’ll grab the boxes with Dawn’s clothes when she’s done packing.”
“This all of yours, babe?” Kelly questions before grabbing a couple boxes to take to the moving truck.
“Yeah, the majority. I still have the other boxes that have damageable stuff in them that I’ll bring down the stairs.” Buffy smirks as she watches Kelly head towards the rental truck, whispering quietly. “Shake that ass a little more, baby and I’ll be attacking it.” Buffy chuckles loudly as Kelly stops and wiggles her butt before hopping up into the truck.
**************
“Hey, want a couple extra hands?” Willow questions as she hops out of the vehicle, grinning as Kelly jumps down from the back of the truck.
“Hell, we need more people packing the damn boxes than toting them.” Kelly admits, grinning. “Buffy’s been tossing the non-breakable ones down the window to me, while Faith and I have been loading them up.”
“I’ll head in and help pack.” Willow offers glancing over to her quiet girlfriend, before heading quickly into the house.
“You’re going to yell at me again, aren‘t you?” Kelly questions, her eyes looking at her sister sadly.
“No.” Tara shakes her head looking over Kelly. “You really aren’t hurt?”
“I’m not, honest.” Kelly sighs softly. “Any way I can prove it to you, that won’t creep you out?” Kelly looks questioningly at her sister.
“How did you prove it to other people?” Tara raises an eyebrow at Kelly.
“Don’t wanna ask that, T-bear.” Faith smirks as she walks by with a couple boxes. “You gonna load this shit, stretch?”
“It isn’t shit, Faith!” Kelly growls at the dark slayer. Turning she jogs back to the last couple boxes picking them up to carry to the truck. Hopping up inside, she packs them in beside the other ones. Jumping down, she smiles hopefully at her sister.
“Prove it.” Tara narrows her gaze on her sister.
Kelly raises her arms. “How do you want me to prove it to you? Have Faith hit me as hard a she can? The way I proved it to Faith and Giles? Break a finger, arm, leg? Give me a hint here. Tell me how to prove it to you, that isn’t going to piss you off and I’ll do it.”
“How did you prove it to Faith and Giles?” Tara tilts her head, questioningly.
Kelly closes her eyes, sighing quietly. “A knife.” Kelly admits before opening her eyes to look at her sister.
“What?” Tara frowns deeply.
“I had them take a knife and cut me.” Kelly pulls out a knife, hands it to Tara. “You can do the same.” Kelly rolls her sleeve up and puts it in front of Tara, a daring glint in her eye.
Tara clenches her jaw looking from the knife in her hand to Kelly’s arm. “You have to be kidding me?”
“Nope.” Kelly raises her eyebrow. “Want proof? Whatever you prefer me to do, I‘ll do.”
Tara shakes her head and hands the knife back to Kelly. “I believe you. But if you ever pull a stunt like this again, I’ll be the one to kick your ass from here to eternity, got me?”
“Got you.” Kelly nods as she tucks the knife away. “Not mad at me anymore?” Kelly questions hopefully, a soft smile crossing her face.
“Bitch.” Tara smirks at her sister before hugging her tightly. “So, you need packers, huh?”
“Yes.” Kelly sighs in relief as Tara grins at her.
“Kelly!” Buffy calls from the open window watching Kelly and Tara.
“Got more?” Kelly turns to look up at her lover. When Buffy puts the box on the window sill, Kelly jogs over smiling up at Buffy. “Go ahead, babe.”
Tara watches as Buffy tosses the boxes down to Kelly. Chuckling as they quickly pile up, Tara glances back up to Buffy, seeing her lips moving but not hearing anything, Tara tilts her head wonderingly. When Kelly chuckles loudly, Tara shakes her head. “It’s not nice to talk like that when nobody else can hear you!” Tara grumbles as she grabs up a box taking it to the truck.
“Sorry.” Buffy smirks, watching as Kelly throws her arms up in the air.
“You’re getting me in trouble now. I can get into enough trouble on my own!” Kelly bitches. “Is that it for now?”
“For a few minutes, Willow’s helping Dawn finish folding and boxing her clothes. I’m heading up to the attic.” Buffy admits smiling.
“Don’t toss those gifts. I don’t know what’s what!” Kelly yells as Buffy disappears from the window. Laughing quietly, Kelly gathers a couple boxes and quickly jogs the short distance to the truck. Setting the boxes down, she holds her arms up for Tara. Grasping her around the waist, Kelly sits her down gently on the ground before grabbing the boxes and hopping back up into the truck.
Tara stands there in stunned disbelief at how easily Kelly lifted her out of the back of the truck. Watching as Kelly jumps out of the truck, Tara looks at her questioningly. “How much can you lift?”
“Don’t know.” Kelly shrugs watching Tara. Looking around she looks at the back of the truck. Crouching down, Kelly grasps the bumper, slowly standing while lifting the back of the truck. Sitting it back down on the ground, she turns to Tara. “I guess I can lift this.” Grinning, Kelly winks before trotting back over to the boxes.
“I’ll go in, see if anybody has anything I can help them pack.” Tara smiles softly.
“Thanks.” Kelly watches as Tara heads in the house before grabbing the rest of the boxes and putting them in the truck.
******************
“Are we taking the freezer now, or do we want to come back for it?” Buffy questions as she brings down the last box.
“We’ve got room in the truck.” Kelly frowns, playing over the mansion in her mind. “We can always sit it on the back patio, until I decide where to put it. There’s outlets to plug it in out there.”
“Then let’s load it up, if you’re ready to head to the house.” Buffy grins at Kelly.
“This the majority of it?” Kelly looks over the back of the truck, grinning at the chair sitting there.
“Most of it. I’m sure there’s other things we’ll have to come back for, but not anything major.” Buffy glances at Kelly.
“Let’s check with everyone first. See if they want to head over to the house, and order pizzas or eat first then head over.” Kelly turns to smile softly at Buffy.
“Hmmm. I just realized something.” Buffy states quietly as she eases up to Kelly, running a finger down the middle of her chest, coming to rest above the waist band of her jeans.
“What have you realized?” Kelly’s eyes flash with desire as Buffy strokes over her stomach.
“We’ve been packing up and loading boxes for the last few hours and I haven’t gotten any kisses or hugs.” Buffy raises an eyebrow as she smirks.
“I guess I need to remedy that.” Kelly whispers against Buffy’s lips as she leans down, capturing the slayer‘s mouth in a loving, soft kiss. Pulling back a short distance, Kelly runs a thumb down Buffy‘s cheek. “You know we have a lot of rooms and furniture to initiate at the new place, don‘t you?
“Rooms, furniture, appliances, counter tops, floors, bathrooms.” Buffy wiggles her eyebrows.
“Walls, stairs, pool.” Kelly continues, smirking. “We’ll have to sneak around while we have a full house.”
“Hmmm. We probably have plenty enough furniture in our soon to be little love nest to keep us busy for a while.” Buffy runs her hand through Kelly’s hair, placing a kiss on her chin.
“At least for a day, maybe two if we stretch it out.” Kelly grins wickedly at the slayer.
“Hmmm. Thinking about getting hot and heavy quickly?” Buffy smirks as she runs her hands down the outside of Kelly’s breasts.
“Hey, you two! What’re we gonna do?” Faith yells from the door. “Give me that.” Faith growls as she grabs Sam’s bag. “I told you I’d carry that out for ya’.”
Kelly chuckles as she looks up, seeing a pissed off look, crossing Sam’s face. “I think Faith is starting to get on Sam’s nerves.” Kelly whispers to Buffy.
“Really?” Buffy turns to look, laughing as she sees the look on Sam’s face.
“Faith, she has a broken jaw, not a broken arm or leg.” Kelly calls out to the dark haired slayer.
“Yeah, but I can get it.” Faith grumbles as she puts the bag in the hummer.
“Let’s go in, and see what everyone wants to do.” Buffy giggles as Sam stands there with her hands on her hips, giving Faith an absolutely evil look. “Faith is going to be in for some serious shit when Sam gets her jaw unwired.”
“Yep.” Kelly grins wickedly. “Should be fun.”
“You just like to see somebody else getting in trouble beside you.” Buffy quickly hops up the stairs out of her lover’s reach as she tries to smack her.
“Hey guys, you want to eat now, or wait till we get to the new place?” Kelly looks from one to the other. “I’ll buy pizzas to be delivered, if that’s okay. Or maybe sub sandwiches, whatever sounds good to you guys.”
“I vote for heading on over to your new house.” Dawn puts her two cents in. “We can have the food delivered while we unload the truck.”
“Fine with me.” Tara looks at Willow, who nods her head in acquiesce.
“Faith, Sam?” Kelly turns to look at the two women. “Of course, you don’t get sandwiches or pizza.” Kelly smirks at Sam, then yelps as she smacks her on the shoulder. “I’ll fix you a big protein shake, with fresh fruit, so there’s no need to get violent!!” As Sam’s lip curls up in a smile, Kelly shakes her head.
“Let’s go.” Faith looks at Kelly, agreeing with everyone else. “I’m kinda curious as to what kind of place you bought.”
“Big.” Buffy smirks looking at Kelly. “Let’s load up the freezer, and head out. Everyone grab whatever you need, you can follow us.”
“I’ll drive the truck.” Kelly looks at Buffy. “You want to ride over on your bike?” Buffy nods in acceptance. Kelly glances towards Faith and Sam. “Faith, you got your bike. Sam, want mine?” Kelly smirks as Faith turns a hard stare on her. Throwing the keys for the bike to a nodding Sam, Kelly looks at Dawn, Tara and Willow. “Dawn, you got the Hummer. You two want to ride over with someone else, or your own vehicle?”
“I want to ride on one of the motorcycles.” Willow admits, looking hesitantly at Tara.
Tara sighs, looking at her lover. “Figured as much. Go ahead, sweetie.” Willow’s eyes light up before she hugs Tara and kisses her quickly on the cheek.
“You can ride with me, Wills.” Buffy grins at Willow.
“Didn’t you just get your license, and learn how to drive that thing?” Tara narrows her eyes on Buffy.
“She’s in good hands, sis.” Kelly smiles at Tara. “She’s a natural on the damn thing. Plus she won’t take a chance with Willow.”
“Well, who am I riding over with?” Tara raises an eyebrow looking at Faith and Sam.
Chuckling, Kelly looks at Buffy. “Want to get the freezer in the back of the truck, babe?”
“Yep. That way we can head to the house. Jase and Brad are gone already?” Buffy questions as they head to the garage.
“Yes. They had a cleaning crew come in this morning to give the place a thorough going over. Said they stripped the beds and put all fresh linen on them. Added a couple things to the pile down in the basement and left us a note with some odds and ends we might find useful.” Kelly grins as she pulls the freezer from the wall and unplugs it. Wrapping the cord up, tucking it away, Kelly looks at Buffy. “You want to walk forwards and I’ll walk backwards?”
Buffy smiles as she walks over to the other side of the freezer. “Ready whenever you are.”
Kelly smirks as she leans down. “One, two, three.” Kelly grins as they lift the freezer easily and walk out of the garage. Walking around to the back of the truck, they set the freezer down.
Buffy looks at Kelly. “Want to just lift up one end and slide it in?”
“I’ll get it.” Kelly eyes the freezer for a minute before dropping down on her haunches, leaning forward and reaching as far as she can to place her fingers under the freezer before she lifts it, slowly easing it onto the back of the truck before sliding it forward. “Babe, did someone grab the cooler with the stuff from the fridge already?”
“Faith brought it out and put it in the back of the Hummer.” Buffy grins, watching as Kelly closes the back of the truck.
“Damn.” Dawn whispers as she watches the woman easily maneuver the freezer. Turning she looks at Faith. “Could you do that?”
“Don’t think so. That freezer was pretty packed full. I could have manhandled it around, but not lifted it like that.” Faith shakes her head, smirking.
“Let’s go guys. Decide who you were riding over with?” Kelly grins at Tara before she kisses Buffy quickly, heading towards the front of the truck.
“I’ll ride over with Faith. As long as she promises to behave herself.” Tara raises an eyebrow at the dark-haired slayer.
“Best behavior, promise! I don’t want Kelly deciding to kick my ass.” Faith grumbles, rubbing her ribs that are still a little on the sore side. “She pulled her fuckin’ punches last night, but I’m still aching.”
“You two fought?” Tara questions, frowning.
“Nah. More like I fought and she just toyed with me.” Faith admits, grinning. “Come on, let’s see this new place stretch bought.” Faith hands Tara a helmet, before watching Sam climb on Kelly’s hog.
“Hey, babe?” Kelly calls to Buffy as she starts to climb in the truck.
“Yeah?” Buffy turns from putting her helmet on, looking towards her lover.
“You lead the way, here’s the remote to the gate and key to the house.” Kelly tosses the items to Buffy. “I figure you guys going in first, you can pull the bikes up out of the way easier. Love you, be careful.”
“I will. Love you, too.” Buffy tucks the items in her pocket before walking back to the bike, climbing on. “Get on, Willow. We’re going for a little spin.”
“Woohoo!” Willow yells hopping on the back of the bike, wrapping her arms around Buffy, making the slayer chuckle.
Tara shakes her head as Faith looks at her with a raised eyebrow. Climbing on behind the dark-haired slayer, she wraps her arms around her waist. “No running into anything!”
“Nope. Gotta behave.” Faith starts the bike and guns the engine, laughing as she feels Tara squeeze tighter. Easing out on the clutch, Faith pulls slowly away, following Buffy with Sam coming up beside her.
Kelly rolls her eyes as the mini parade heads towards the mansion. Backing out of the driveway, she follows Dawn.
******************
As Kelly slowly pulls into the drive, she chuckles as she notices that everyone’s disappeared inside. Pulling up, she parks the truck before hopping out to quickly unload the freezer, taking it to the back patio and plugging it in. Striding around the house, Kelly strides inside, hesitating for a moment to get a fix on where the group is talking, Kelly works her way to the second floor.
“Hey! You guys couldn’t wait to pick out what rooms you wanted?” Kelly smirks as Faith and Dawn argue over the rooms.
“I should get the bigger one, you’re gonna be gone at school most of the time!” Faith grumbles at the teen.
“Yes, I am. But Buffy’s my sister, so I should get some perks!” Dawn tries not to laugh at the slayer.
Faith glances over at Sam as she taps her on the shoulder and urges her to follow. “’Kay.” Faith follows the Marine, curious as to what she’s wanting to show her.
Quickly walking down the hallway, leaving Dawn to check out her new room, Kelly finds Buffy talking with Willow and Tara. Wrapping her arms around the slayer’s waist, Kelly kisses the top of Buffy’s head. “There‘s plenty of rooms to go around. You two can pick one out, if you want.”
“There’s seven rooms…” Tara starts doing a mental tally. “One each for Dawn, Giles, Faith, Sam, one for you two, and then possibly one for me and Willow? That only leaves one.”
“Actually, I have a feeling Faith and Sam might be sharing a room. Plus there’s our room.” Buffy smirks at the witch.
“There’s another bedroom?” Willow’s eyes light up. “Where is it?”
“Upstairs. The third floor.” Kelly’s eyes twinkle as she watches Willow frown.
“The whole third floor?” Willow questions Kelly’s wording.
“Yep. Come on.” Buffy chuckles as she leads them up the stairs to their room. Buffy plops down on the huge bed, watching as everyone else follows her in, grinning as Kelly prowls around the room, already moving things around to the way they’d discussed they’d like them to be set up. “We can do that later, Kelly.”
“I know.” Kelly admits, as she finishes shifting the dresser.
“This is your bedroom?” Faith questions as she and Sam walk in, looking around. “Damn. B, I think this room is bigger than your whole house!”
“I’d say you’re probably right.” Buffy smirks, as she looks around the room. “You pick out a room yet?”
“Yeah.” Faith looks over at Sam, grinning. “We did. We’re gonna take that corner room.” Faith admits, almost shyly.
Kelly and Buffy glance at each other, grinning. “We probably need to unload the freezer.” Buffy states, starting to stand.
“I did it before I came in.” Kelly admits, before plopping down on the bed beside Buffy. Turning her gaze on her lover, she whispers quietly. “Can’t wait to play on this bad boy. All kinds of room to roll around on!”
Buffy smirks at Kelly. “The sooner we eat, and unload the truck, the sooner we get to play!”
“Too bad we can’t toss the boxes up to the windows.” Kelly stretches out on the bed, looking up at the ceiling.
“It won’t be that bad. It took so long because we had to pack everything up. Now we just have to load the boxes in the house. Everyone can unpack at their own leisure, once we got the boxes in.” Buffy watches as the rest of the crew talk and look their room over.
“We gonna order lunch anytime soon?” Faith questions, looking over at the two women talking quietly between them. “I don’t know about the rest of the crew, but I’m hungry.”
“I think everyone could probably eat. What do you guys want?” Kelly questions, standing, looking from one person the next. As she gets grins and shrugs, Kelly rolls her eyes. “Fine, I’ll order something. If you guys don’t like it, tough!” Kelly chuckles as she heads out of the bedroom, letting the group continue their inspection.
*******************
Kelly decides to run out to pick up lunch, making a pit stop at the grocery store for a good selection of fresh fruits and some other items. Coming back, she chuckles as most of the group looks like they’re checking out the back yard.
“Need some help, stretch?” Faith questions as she puts down the boxes out of the back of the truck.
“Definitely. Don’t tell me they left you to unload all this!” Kelly questions, her eyes narrowing.
“Nah, they just took a break. They wanted to check out the back yard, I just decided to continue unloading the truck instead.” Faith’s lip curls up in a half smile. “Plus, I figured I’d be closer when the food got here. I can pick out the choicest pieces.”
“Now, that’s what I’m talking about.” Kelly smirks at the dark-haired slayer. “Let’s get it in the house.” Kelly reaches in and hands a couple large bags to the slayer as she grabs the pizzas and a couple more bags.
“Besides pizza, what else did you buy?” Faith questions, trying to look in the bags as they head into the house.
“Some more fresh fruit and some other odds and ends that I can blend down for Sam. By the time her jaws healed, she’ll be sick and tired of everything we can fix her.” Kelly places the pizza boxes on the dinning room table as she continues on into the kitchen, Faith following quickly. “Also picked up an assortment of sub sandwiches.”
“Want me to put the sandwiches in the dining room, also?” As Kelly nods, Faith digs around in the bags, grabbing out the sandwiches, taking them to the dining room before coming back, grabbing chips and plates. She stops, chuckling as she watches Kelly slicing up a mixture of different fruits, throwing them in the blender with some kind of powder. “What’s that powder?”
“Protein. Got some liquid vitamins I put in there also.” Kelly waves her hand towards the bottles lined up on the counter. Kelly smirks as she hears the group coming into the house. “And the hungry horde has arrived.”
“ That’s no way to talk about us.” Buffy grumbles as she walks into the kitchen. “Anything I can do?”
“Grab drinks and napkins, that’ll probably do it.” Kelly looks up from where she’s finishing slicing the fruit, grinning as she watches Buffy pull three two liters out of the refrigerator and grabbing some glasses taking them out to the dining room. Finishing with the fruit, Kelly quickly blends the mixture together. Pouring the concoction into a huge glass, she grabs a couple more glasses, walking out to the dining room. Placing the drink in front of Sam, Kelly does a quick look, noticing Buffy sat glasses down in front of everyone but where she and Kelly were sitting.
“Get enough food?” Buffy looks up, chuckling.
“Don’t know. We’ll just have to wait and see!” Kelly narrows her gaze on her lover, before laughing quietly as she sits down. “I called Anya and Xander to see if they wanted to come over. Unfortunately, it seems Anya’s having delayed morning sickness. I told Xander that they were welcome anytime. Seems they’ve already done a little shopping for the new house.”
Buffy smirks. “A little shopping? Did you do the same thing for them that you did for the rest of us?” As Kelly blushes and nods her head slightly, Buffy chuckles. “I love you.”
“Love you, too, babe.” Kelly grins as Buffy leans in and kisses her gently. “Eat, I know you’re hungry.”
“Like you’re not?” Buffy looks at the slowly disappearing food.
“Stretch, I think this might be for you.” Faith re-wraps one of the subs tightly before sliding it down the table to Kelly.
“Thanks, Faith.” Kelly grins as she unwraps the large veggie sub with extra guacamole.
Buffy tilts her head looking at the messy sub. “You’re going to eat that?” She questions an almost disgusted look on her face.
“Try it, you might like it!” Kelly grumbles before taking a huge bite of her sandwich, before offering it to Buffy. Grinning as Buffy hesitantly leans in and takes a small bite, chewing it tentatively.
“Not bad.” Buffy admits as she finishes the bite. “Still prefer my meat.” Buffy reaches out for one of the all meat pizzas placing three slices on her plate before grabbing one of the sub sandwiches opening it curiously, grinning as she notices it’s a meatball sub with what looked like extra cheese.
“Are we just going to spend the rest of tonight unloading the truck and unpacking, or do you guys feel like watching a movie in the movie room?” Kelly questions looking at the group. “They left a pretty good selection of movies. I’ll probably expand on it, haven’t had a chance to watch many movies the last few years.”
“Oh, God! I can see it now.” Buffy grumbles dropping her head on the dining room table, before she continues mumbling. “She’ll go into the damn store and tell them she wants one of every movie they have.”
Faith snorts back a laugh, watching as the rest of the group try to keep from laughing.
“Kelly’s DVD Rentals. Has a ring to it.” Tara chuckles as she nibbles on her piece of pizza.
“Buffy mentioned you guys usually do movie night once a week, so I figured we’d continue the tradition. You just won’t have to go to the rental store to get a movie!” Kelly’s eyes twinkle as she looks at Tara. “Then, if it’s late, everyone can crash here comfortably. So, see, you having your own room. With maybe a few changes of clothes kept here would come in handy.”
“Okay, okay! I got your point.” Tara rolls her eyes at her sister. “We’ll pick out a room.”
Willow giggles around her bite of sandwich. Seeing Tara turn her gaze towards her, Willow’s eyes open wide. Finishing chewing and swallowing, she raises her hand. “I didn’t say anything!”
“Be careful, young woman. Or you’ll be making it up to me again!” Tara threatens, jokingly.
“Okay!” Willow grins happily at her lover. “I’m all for the making up.”
“Uh, huh.” Tara raises an eyebrow knowingly at her lover.
“See, we’re not the only horn dogs around here.” Kelly smirks at Buffy.
Sam rolls her eyes as she slowly finishes her shake, making a mental note to ask Kelly what she put in it, it was so good. Smiling as she feels a tentative hand being placed lightly on her thigh, she glances at Faith.
“Do you want some more?” Faith questions looking at her empty glass. As Sam nods her head, Faith grasps the glass, standing quickly.
“The rest of it’s in the fridge.” Kelly let’s Faith know as she walks by.
“Thanks.” Faith grins at the tall woman before quickly going to the kitchen to re-fill Sam’s glass. Walking back out, she sets the glass down in front of the Marine before sitting down and grabbing another mystery sub out of the stack, grinning at the food that is gradually being devoured. Opening the sub, Faith groans in appreciation at the steak and cheese sub.
As the crew finishes eating, occasionally joking, Kelly leans back in her chair and runs a gentle hand over Buffy’s shoulder, watching the people she is coming to think of as her family.
Buffy watches the small smile play about Kelly’s mouth, grinning. “Happy?” She questions softly.
Turning her eyes towards her lover, Kelly nods. “Very.” Kelly admits, smiling softly.
“Kelly, someone mentioned something about a scroll that you came across last night?” Tara questions as she finishes dinner.
“Yes. It has a serious magical signature. Plus the fact neither Giles nor I could make heads or tails out of what it said.” Kelly admits looking curiously at her sister.
“Can I look at it?” Tara asks softly.
“Of course.” Kelly nods, looking at the rest of the group. “Did anyone unpack the Hummer, or is it still out there? Kelly sees Sam raise her hand. “Do you remember where you put the box with the scroll in it?” Chuckling as Sam nods her head, Kelly stands, gathering both her and Buffy’s trash and plates, taking them into the kitchen. Smiling as Sam comes in, quickly followed by Faith, Kelly chuckles quietly.
Sam rolls her eyes before smiling and tugging on Kelly’s shirt.
“Lead the way.” Kelly grins, following Sam out of the kitchen.
“I’ll go bring some more boxes in.” Faith states quietly, splitting off from the other two women.
“I’ll be out there in a few minutes.” Kelly calls after the slayer as she follows Sam into the living room. Seeing the stack of boxes, Kelly chuckles. “I take this was the catch all for the unmarked boxes.”
Sam laughs quietly, nodding her head. Shifting them around, the two women finally come across the box with the scroll in it.
“Thanks.” Kelly considers Sam. “Things going okay between you and Faith?” As a soft smile crosses Sam’s face and she nods her head, Kelly smiles. “Good. Did you get the information sent?” Kelly questions quietly.
Sam sighs and nods her head. Looking around for the notepad she knew she laid down in here, Sam finally locates it, quickly writing a note. I sent them my record of the incident, and Dawn gave me her statement to send, like you asked. Sam writes before handing it to Kelly.
Reading the note, Kelly looks up smiling. “They’ll take care of everything, Sam. If not, I’ll make sure it’s taken care of. You going to wait until after his hearing is over with before filing for divorce?”
Sam shakes her head, easing the notepad out of Kelly’s hand. I already contacted them. I told them to put it through as soon as possible. Sam hesitates for a moment in her writing, before continuing. Other than that one night, Faith and I haven’t been together. We’ve been sharing a room, but we’ve only kissed and talked…well at least before my jaw got broke, we talked. Sam has a little giggle escape.
“You think it’s because you’re married.” Kelly watches as Sam nods her head before shaking it. Frowning Kelly questions. “You know it’s because you’re married?” As Sam nods her head adamantly. “So, she’s wanting to wait, get to actually know you and have you be a free agent?”
Sam grins crookedly and nods her head. Sighing, she reaches down and pulls the scroll out of the box, handing it to Kelly.
“Yeah, let me get this to sis. Then finish unloading the truck.” Kelly pats Sam on the shoulder. “Go see what your girlfriend is up to, tell her she’s probably unloaded enough.”
Sam smiles before heading out to the truck.
