Willows knees buckled in pain, her vision blurring.
"WILLOW!!" She heard Tara calling her name and tried to lift her head, but everything was blurred and felt like she was underwater. Her shoulder was throbbing in pain, the wound spilling her blood onto the dirt.
"Ta.." She forced out, barely conscious, but hearing sounds of fighting and dusting. She prayed the dusting wasn't Tara, but she figured if it had been, the fight would be over. Soon the fight was over, however, but Willow was relieved when Tara appeared in her vision. The vampire looked at her with genuine concern that made Willows heart soar. {She really does care about me..}
"Wi.. Hear me?... Might Hurt.. Sorry.." Taras words weren't completely reaching her, but she clung to them. She figured she had lost a lot of blood since she could feel a sticky pool under her. She fluttered her eyes in confusion when Tara put a firm hand on her chest. She saw the vampire squeeze her eyes shut in regret and anticipation, but she didn't know why. That was, until she felt the bolt in her shoulder move. Willow shrieked, bucking against Taras grip. It did her no good. After the first hesitant pull, Tara suddenly pulled it out quickly, earning a screech from Willow, who writhed on the ground. "Sorry… eyes open.. Pl.." Willow tried desperately to listen to Tara, tried to keep her eyes open. But the pain radiated throughout her intensely and when Tara pressed her hands against the wound, Willow whimpered in pain and exhaustion. Her eyelids felt heavy. Her whole body felt heavy. {Am I dying?} She wondered solemnly. Everything felt so surreal at the moment, and her emotions felt numb. She heard Tara call her name pleadingly before everything went dark.

"No no no no.." Tara pleaded to anyone that might hear as Willow passed out. Everything was covered in blood. There was the part of her vampire that yearned to taste the blood, but her concern shockingly outweighed it. Tara tore off a part of her shirt, pressing it to Willows wound in place of her hands. She needed a hospital, and she needed it now. But her car was totaled, and she didn't think there were many hospitals nearby. Gritting her teeth, she tied the cloth against Willows wound by looping it around her neck and under her arm, lifting her into her arms. Then she started running. {Hospital.. Hospital.. Where's the hospital..} It suddenly popped into her mind and she ran faster. Willow was getting paler by the second. Tara knew that if she needed to, she could turn Willow.. But then Willow wouldn't be Willow. Not truly. Not the innocent Willow she knew and loved. Not /her/ Willow. Lights came from down the road, getting closer to Taras relief.
"Help! Help!" She called, relieved when the car actually slowed to a stop.
"God, what happened to you two?!"
"It.. It doesn't matter! I.. I need you to bring us to the hospital-" The man in the car paused, but unlocked the doors. Tara climbed into the backseat quickly, though was careful of Willow. The man started driving, glancing back at them a couple times. The sound of his racing heart made her stomach rumble, since she had no mental connection to this man, the concern for Willow didn't affect his blood from smelling delicious. But she kept her eyes on Willow. Without this man, she wouldn't have stood a chance of getting Willow to the hospital before she bled out. With that knowledge, Tara felt obligated to let him live as a reward.
"We're almost there-! How is she-?" Tara gulped, glad that her enhanced hearing allowed her to hear Willows heart beating and hear her breathing. If she couldn't hear that, she was certain she would think Willow was already dead. The car squealed to a stop, causing Tara and Willow to jerk forward. Tara growled lowly, holding Willow closer. “Sorry! Sorry! We’re he-” Tara didn’t need to hear anything else. She jumped out of the car with Willow held close, darting into the hospital.
“Help! Help me!” She shrieked, attracting nurses and receptionists.
“Oh my god..”
“What happened to you?”
“Is she okay?” Questions blurred together until another doctor came through a door,
“Quiet! Quiet! Don’t overwhelm them. Get a bed.” He instructed calmly, “Ma’am, I need you to tell me what happened.” Tara couldn’t tear her eyes off of Willow, but she nodded.
“W-We got into a c-car accident, then w-we were a-attacked.” She was slightly shocked as she stuttered. She hadn’t had a stutter since before she was sired. She shook her head slightly, but the doctor didn’t question it.
“Attacked by what?” He asked gently, going to take Willow from her as nurses came back with a rolling hospital bed. She growled and he paused, putting his hands up, “You can put her on there if you want, just be careful. They’re going to take her to a room and you need to stay out here, okay? She’ll be safe.” Tara swallowed heavily, glancing at Willow again. “If you don’t let them take her, she will die.” Reluctantly, Tara placed Willow on the bed, placing her arms over her chest gently. “Good, good. Sit back down, you’ve got a head injury. I’m going to examine you while we talk, okay?” She nodded again without much thought to it. The man started poking at her head, muttering to himself, “Dear lord, its a wonder you survived..” He shook his head, pressing gause to her wound. “What were you guys attacked by?” Tara frowned. Here was where she had to lie. Its fine, it was no matter to her. She had grown good at it.
“Some uh.. Some guys. They had uh.. They had crossbows.” The man stared at her, shocked for a minute, then nodded and continued.
“Is that what happened to uh.. Ma’am, what are your names?” Tara shook her head, her mind feeling fuzzy.
“I’m Tara Maclay.. And shes Willow.” The man frowned,
“Whats her last name?” Tara searched her mind. She knew this from when she had gone through Willows things before.
“Rosenberg… Willow Rosenberg.” The doctor nodded again,
“Does she have any allergies?” Tara shook her head. She had broken into Willows doctors office one day and went through her files. Creepy, but needed for this situation. “Alright. You her friend?” Tara bit her lip. {Would she think of me as a /friend/ anymore? As anything but a monster?} She nodded anyway.
“Alright, Tara, I’m going to take you back to a room and get your vitals-” Taras stomach flopped. If they checked her vitals, they’d know she wasn’t alive, and they wouldn't let her see Willow. They’d call the cops. She could easily kill the cops and such, but she doubted Willow would willingly see her after that. She also doubted that if she were to kill off half a town, that Willow would be able to stop the slayer again. If the slayer got wind of a bunch of deaths, and if her picture was out.. She couldn’t risk it. Not even for Willow.. Not this time. Either way, Willow would be happier this way. She actually felt tears well in her eyes as she shoved the doctor away, running from the hospital. She heard people yelling behind her, including a security guard, but the hospital was only for a small town, so they didn’t have much security. She lost them quickly either way, breaking into sobs in the middle of the woods.
“Willow I’m so sorry..”
((Oops, It got angsty again. Sorry, I promise eventual happiness))
