It seemed so surreal. Willow only noticed the van when it had already slammed into the side of the car, sending it flying off the road. She didn’t even have the consciousness to scream as some people might. Tara just cursed and leaped towards her as the car started to roll down at hill, pulling her close and cradling her body from much harm. Finally, as the car hit the ground with a loud crash, the world seemed real again. Feeling horribly shaky, Willow pulled herself from her place under Tara, gasping. Tara had hit her head on the dashboard, hard and was bleeding. Willow realized that the airbags hadn’t gone off. Without her seatbelt on since she had to take it off in order to grab the food from the fast food place, and forgetting to put it back on, Willow that noticed if Tara had not taken her own off and covered her with her body, it would’ve been her that would have hit her head. A blow like that to the head would most likely kill a human.
“T-Tara?” Willow breathed, trying to move into a more convenient place, tried to wake the vampire, finding her unconscious.
“Shit!” Jason cursed from the back, kicking the back window off so he could climb out. He seemed relatively unharmed, shockingly, but he definitely wasn’t happy. Willow was still shaking in shock, and the vampire yanked her door open, pulling her out. Her arm and neck hurt, but she could move. He stared at Tara and growled, pulling her out too. “She should be fine. She’ll have a headache but she’ll probably wake up soon.” He muttered, almost to himself.
“W-We need help-!” Willow gasped, but Jason grabbed her arm tightly to keep her in place,
“What are we going to say to the hospital when theres no heartbeat, but she wakes up?! We just have to wait here until she wakes up.” Willow nodded shakily, fiddling with her hands. She jumped at the sound of car doors, frowning when a group of people came rushing down the hill.
“What are we going to tell them?” Jason looked at the people as they got closer and growled, pushing her behind him.
“Nothing. This was a set up.” Willow noticed the ‘people’ were in fact vampires, and her blood went cold. {Who would set us up?}
“Hey! You there!” The vampire at the front called as his men started to circle Jason and Willow. “Hand over the girl and we’ll have no problems.” Jason glanced at Willow, rolling his eyes,
“Her? Whats so important about her?” Willow shuddered as the man stared at her.
“Shes powerful. We could sense it from a mile away. We have a bit of a problem with a group of demons messing with our turf, figure she could be of help.” The vampire smirked, licking his lips, “Be a hell of a good time too, I’d wager.” Jason shockingly, didn’t back down. {Why is he protecting me?}
“If this girl gets hurt, my sire will kill me.” Willow jumped with a small squeak as a vampire poked her back from behind her, snickering at her response.
“We can protect you.. We are more powerful than her. You could have a /place/ with us. You could be powerful too.” Jason paused, a grin growing on his face.
“This girl /has/ been a hell of a pain… Be nice to get back at her.” The other vampire growled in triumph,
“Once we have her, you could have a turn with her.. You could even be the one to turn her..” Willow bit her lip, shaking her head.
“Screw this.” She spat, summoning her power to blast them away from her. She hoped Tara woke up soon, since she didn't have much strength.. Or control with her magic. {Not yet, at least.} She reminded herself, {Just.. focus on the anger and fear.. That worked last time..} Doing as she instructed herself, she set a few of the vampires up in flames. A whoosh of air alerted her to a crossbolt right as it flew by her head, causing her to shriek in fear and shock. {They have /crossbows/?!} Another bolt flew at her from another angle, but thankfully, from some outings with Buffy, she had learned how to, for the most part, dodge them. Buffy had even trained her some, with fake bolts, of course, since sometimes when they were patrolling, a missing crossbolt would fly her way, and Buffy didn't want her to be impaled on accident. {Buffy.. Oh god, I wish Buffy was here..} More vampires tried to rush her as bolts continued flying,
“Keep her alive!!” A voice called, as a fist connected with her shoulder. She grunted, shooting waves of magic towards the guy as she fell to the ground. {There are too many! I can’t do this!! I’m already running out of energy!} Suddenly, the guy was thrown off of her. Tara was in front of her in a flash, slashing and throwing blows at the enemies in a blur of rage. Willow struggled to her feet, watching as Tara dusted the main vampire. With a gut-wrenching terror, she realized a crossbow was pointed right at Taras heart. Even as Willow yelled for Tara, she knew it would be too late. Just as fast as it had been flying towards the vampires heart, it stopped midair. Willow nearly lost her concentration on it, once realizing she had stopped it with her mind, but quickly regained her focus. {If I lose focus, it will hit Tara! Just.. Just focus-} Already worn out from her other big uses of magic in her defense, she had to keep every bit of her focus on the bolt. Tara spun around, having heard her call, and jumped out of the way of the bolt. Even so, Willow, with her focus on the bolt, didn’t notice as Jason picked up a dropped crossbow and aimed it right at her. Tara screeched and jumped at Jason, noticing it a little too late. Willow turned towards the conflict in confusion, gasping as the tip of a bolt pierced her shoulder.
((With the car accident I mostly went off of how it felt to me when I was in one a little bit ago - it didn't feel real. I know everyone has different experiences but I didnt know for sure how to describe the other ways of reacting realistically. So to make it more accurate, I went off of my own feelings. Of course, I didn't get attacked by vampires after, but that's not to point. I'm sorry if this had any effect on anyone with the car accident.))
