Ravyn was sitting on Dawn's desk, watching as Dawn paced the floor. They had been talking to the guys for over an hour, trying to convince them not to go to Trull's with no luck.
"Dawn, you're making me dizzy. Would you sit down?" Ravyn said as she watched her.
"Why are they being so stupid?" Dawn said, mad and scared to death.
"Cause their men." Ravyn said quietly, a huge grin on her face.
"I heard that!" Spike yelled from the other room, causing a giggle to escape Ravyn.
"You could always tie him up." Ravyn suggested grinning, not knowing what else to say.
Dawn stopped at looked over at Ravyn for a few seconds, the look on her face making Ravyn think she was actually considering it before continuing with her pacing of the lobby floor.
Ravyn leaned back, propping her body weight up on her arms as she watched Dawn. She knew exactly what she was feeling. She'd be the same way if it were Spike that was going. Trull wasn't a man to be played with; he was the one who did the playing.
"You know what?" Dawn said as she stopped and looked right at Ravyn. "I think I've been going about this all wrong."
"What do you mean?" Ravyn asked, sitting up straight.
Dawn smiled and put her hands on her hips. "Well if they want to act like children, then I can too."
"And how exactly is that?"
Dawn smiled and leaned her head to the side. "Well, if he goes, I'll break up with him."
Ravyn laughed a little as she looked at her. "You're kidding right?"
"No!" Dawn said firmly. "He either loves me and stays here or he don't and can go off and play Rambo with the rest of them."
Ravyn looked at her wide-eyed for a minute before Dawn huffed and turned to the lounge.
Ravyn smiled as she watched Dawn stomp off towards the lounge as the phone began to ring. She turned to it when Dawn paid no attention, leaning over and grabbing the receiver just as she heard Dawn give her ultimatum to Dylan.
"Angel Investigations, what's your pleasure?" Ravyn said, smiling at Dawn's ranting in the next room.
"Well that would be you my pSo tSo tell me, how have you been doing?"
Ravyn went wide-eyed and she felt her throat close off as her un-necessary breathing came n abn abrupt stop.
"Dawn calm down sweetie." Dylan said trying to get her to come to reason.
Spike looked up and stood quickly as a paralyzing fear surged through his body. He turned and ran through the lounge towards the lobby, the others following as his panicked face triggered a warning for them all.
Ravyn looked up at him with fear stricken eyes as he rounded the corner, sliding to a stop. She still held the phone to her ear, her hands shaking as Trull continued to talk to her.
Spike ran to her, taking the phone from her as her whole body trembled. "Who is this?" he asked loudly into the receiver as he wrapped his arm around Ravyn's shoulder, holding her close to him.
"Ah, you must be Spike." Trull said with a smile. "It's so nice to finally talk to you. Tell me, are you keeping my little bird happy?"
"What do you want?" Spike asked him through clenched teeth as he held onto Ravyn.
Trull let out a little chuckle before he answered. "Why, I want my pet back, what else." He said, the humor now gone from his voice.
"Not happening" Spike told him firmly.
"I see you're going to make this hard then?"
Spike turned his head and looked at the others as he listened to Trull go on about Ravyn before he looked down at her. She was just sitting there staring straight ahead as her body continued to tremble. Spike pulled her up against him, holding onto her head and running his hand through her hair before he looked over at Angel and motioned him towards the other phone.
Angel picked up the extension, listening in on the conversation as the rest of the gang tried to figure out what was going on. He sighed lightly as he listened, shaking his head and never taking his eyes off of Spike.
The others watched, taking in the intense stare between Spike and Angel and knew whatever it was, it was bad.
Spike turned back to the desk, hanging up the phone as Angel did the same.
"Who was it?" Rob asked, the suspense killing him.
Angel looked over at Ravyn who was still just staring at nothing before turning to Rob. "It was Trull."
Everyone turned and looked over at Ravyn as Spike leaned down to be eye level with her.
"Hey, you okay?" Spike asked her softly as he held her face in both of his hands.
Ravyn raised her eyes, looking up at him when she did. "Can we go home?" she asked him quietly, a dazed look in her eyes.
Spike gave her a little smile before leaning in and kissing her forehead. "Yeah, we can go home."
He said before standing back up straight.
"That might not be such a good idea Spike." Angel said, taking a few steps closer to them.
Spike turned and looked at Angel as he neared them.
"They may be waiting for you." Angel told him, glancing down at Ravyn.
Spike stared at Angel for a few seconds before shaking his head and looking back at Ravyn. "He's right. Can't take a chance in getting caught again." He told her softly.
Ravyn just stared at him. She gave him the best smile she could, which wasn't much of one before shaking her head at him. "Think I'll go on up." She said as she slid off the desk.
Ravyn turned to the stairs, her whole body felt numb. She never expected to hear from Trull, not like that. She turned her head, instantly feeling better as Spike took her hand and walked with her up the stairs.
"What did he want?" Dawn asked when Spike and Ravyn were out of sight.
"He knows about our souls." He said as he looked over at Dylan.
Dawn sighed heavily in relief. Her worst fears now dissipating knowing they wouldn't be going now.
"How?" Dylan asked him, a confused look on his face.
"He didn't say."
"Well, I guess its back to the planning board." Rob said as he turned to the lounge, the others slowly following him.
~*~*~
Spike led Ravyn into her room, shutting and locking the door behind them. He watched her as she walked slowly to the bed. She still hadn't said anything and Spike could feel conflicting emotions run through her.
Walking over to her, he stepped in front of her, watching as her still shaky hands played with the buttons of her shirt, trying to unfasten them.
Spike reached up, taking her hands in his, giving each one a small kiss before releasing them and unbuttoning the shirt for her. He slipped it off her shoulders and threw it on the chair before looking back at her.
"Spike, I'm scared." Ravyn whispered, still looking down.
Spike lifted her head so he could see her face and rubbed his thumb over her chin before cupping her cheek with his palm. He wrapped his other arm around her, pulling her closely to him. "I know you are." He said softly, leaning in and placing a kiss on her forehead, holding his lips to her skin for a few seconds before pulling back. *I am too* he said to himself as she wrapped her arms around his waist and buried her head in his neck.
Spike wrapped both arms around her, laying his cheek against her head. He closed his eyes when he heard her start to cry and tightened his hold on her, feeling completely helpless to do much more than that. He'd do anything to protect her, but would it be enough?

Angel was making another round through the Hotel. The other's had all gone to bed hours ago and he felt the need to stay up until someone was able to keep an eye out. He turned his head as he walked through the lounge when he heard movement in the lobby.
Walking quietly, he rounded the corner and was surprised to see Spike standing by the window looking out.
"I haven't seen anyone." Angel said softly as he walked closer to where Spike was standing.
Spike let go of the blind and turned to face Angel. "I can't protect her." He said quietly, the words almost choking him as he admitted his inability to keep Ravyn safe.
Angel just stared at Spike, knowing exactly what he was feeling. He was feeling it too. "Come on, lets get a drink." He said as he turned back to the lounge.
Spike watched him walk away before he followed him. He ran his hand through his hair as he entered the lounge and sat down on the sofa. He watched Angel as he poured them a drink, his mind playing out every horrible scenario it could come up with as to how Trull would finally come and take Ravyn away from him.
"Here you go." Angel said, stirring Spike out of his thoughts.
"Thanks" Spike said, taking the glass and swallowing the contents in one gulp.
Angel sat in the chair across from Spike and just stared at him. "She okay?"
"No." Spike answered as he stare into his now empty glass. "She's scared and there's not a damn thing I can do about it." He said finally looking up at Angel. "How are we gonna keep him from coming in here and taking her?"
Angel sighed heavily as he looked at him. He had thought about that very thing all night. "I don't know Spike."
Spike stare at Angel, seeing the concern in his eyes and knew that no matter what, he'd do whatever he had to, to help keep her safe. He turned his head towards the lobby when he felt Ravyn's panic and stood up, laying his glass down. "She's awake." He said as he walked out of the lounge, leaving Angel to watch him walk away and contemplate their dilemma alone once again.
~*~*~*~
Spike walked back into the bedroom, shutting the door behind him before making his way back over to the bed.
"Where were you?" Ravyn asked him as he undressed and climbed back in bed.
"Just went to make sure everything was locked up." He said sliding in next to her, wrapping his arms around her.
Ravyn lay her head on his chest, feeling safe again as he held her tightly. Her mind had been wrapped around the thoughts of Trull coming for her and what would happen when he did.
"I need you to promise me something." Ravyn said quietly.
"If I can." Spike said, lifting his head to look down at her.
"If he comes for me..don't fight him."
"Can't do that luv." He said, feeling her tense up in his arms.
Ravyn lifted her head and looked up at him. "He'll kill you Spike." She said quietly, tears filling her eyes as she looked at him.
"It's the only way he's gonna get out the door with you." He told her, reaching up and brushing a stray tear away as it fell down her cheek.
Ravyn just looked at him, knowing he'd do everything in his power to keep Trull from taking her. But would it be enough and at what price?
Spike leaned up, kissing her softly before pulling her head back down. "Get some sleep." He said, rubbing his hand gently up and down her back as he tried to figure out a way to keep her safe and Trull out.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
"Are you sure there's no other way?" Rob asked as all the guys sat around Angel's office and discussed their options where Trull was concerned.
"I don't see any." Spike said, pacing the floor.
"But what if something goes wrong?" Jesse asked, not wanting to storm Trull's hideout.
Spike stopped and looked over at him. "So what, we just wait here till he comes? Is that what you're suggesting?"
"No." Jesse said, looking to Blake who also seemed a little apprehensive about the plan.
Spike ran his hand over the back of his neck. He had lay awake all day going through every possible scenario he could come up with and short from packing up and running his only option was to go after Trull before he made his move.
"I really hope you're not planning on going after him." Ravyn said from the door, a terrified look on her face.
Everyone turned to look at her as she stared at Spike.
Spike just looked at her and she knew right then that that was `exactly' what he was doing. She looked at him hard before shaking her head and turned quickly, walking back through the lobby.
"Ravyn" Spike said following her.
Ravyn headed for the stairs, she didn't know what was worse.being scared of Trull or being scared Spike was going after him.
"Ravyn, stop." Spike said as he grabbed her arm as she reached the bedroom door.
Spike walked in front of her. He knew she was scared, but he couldn't `not' do anything. "Everything is going to be fine." He said, lifting her head so he could see her.
"I don't want you to do this Spike. Just let it go, we'll think of something else." She said quietly.
"Like what? Run" he said, knowing their options were limited.
"If I have to."
"WE...are not going to run from him. We'll spend the rest of our lives trying to get away and I'm not doing that. We're not going to live our lives scared to turn the next corner."
Ravyn sighed heavily before turning and opening the bedroom door and leaving Spike standing in the hall. She sat down heavily on the bed, resting her head in her hands as she tried to figure a way out of this.
Spike walked in, shutting the door behind him. He walked over to the bed and sat beside of Ravyn, wrapping his arm around her shoulder as he did. "Everything is going to be fine.I promise." He said, placing a kiss on her head.
Ravyn looked up at him. He had the most worried look in his eyes that she had ever seen. "What did he say after you took the phone from me?'
Spike looked at her and smiled best he could. "Nothing important." He lied, "Just bragging about his abilities and what not. The git's got the gift of gab and that's all."
Ravyn knew he was lying, it was written all over his face and she figured for what ever reason it was, it was for her own good. She gave him a little smile and laid her head on his shoulder, wrapping her arms around him.
Spike wrapped his other arm around her and held her tight. They had exactly two weeks before he would come. Trull had actually told them when he was coming and knew they'd come for him first. He `wanted' them to come after him. He liked playing with people and this was one game he was enjoying.
"You in the mood to give me my reward for being a good boy?" Spike asked smiling, trying to get her mind off their troubles.
Ravyn giggled lightly before leaning up and kissing his neck. "Do you have the rest of the evening to play?" she asked, softly, nibbling her way across his neck.
"Mmm hum." Spike moaned as she sucked on his ear.
"Your cowboys not going to wonder where you are?" she whispered, trailing her hands up under his shirt.
"Probably." Spike said, closing his eyes as her hands started to wander.
"They won't get mad at you?"
"They'll get over it."
"Well I guess I might be able to help you then, as long as you remember one thing."
"What's that?"
"No touching." She said smiling, pulling away from him and standing.
Spike watched her as she walked to the door and locked it before walking to the dresser and turned on the radio. He moved to the chair, wanting the best view he could get and smiled when she found the `right' music for her `dance'.
Ravyn turned to him, smiling at the look on his face. She walked over to him, standing back away from him and smiled as she looked at him. "You touch.games over." She told him as she started moving to the music.
Spike just smiled back at her and leaned his head to the side a little, watching as she started dancing. How he was suppose to `not' touch her was beyond him, but he'd give it a try.

Dawn was at her desk, looking up the stairs with a smile on her face. She had listened to the loud music coming from upstairs for a while now, but the loud crash she had just heard had her wondering what had happened.
"What was that?" Rob asked wide-eyed, walking into the lobby.
Dawn giggled and looked over at him. "Um..Spike and Ravyn.."
"Say no more." He said quickly, holding his hands up and ducking his head before walking back to his office.
Dawn laughed lightly at him before turning back to her paperwork. She shook her head, grinning big when she heard Ravyn let out a small squeal. *Vamps* she said to herself, wondering if they even cared that the whole Hotel could hear their sex-capades.
~*~*~
"I can't believe that thing exploded like that." Jesse said to the others as the guys walked back into the Hotel.
"Told ya to stand back didn't I?" Blake said, grinning at Jesse.
"Eww.what is that?" Dawn asked, scrunching her nose up at the green and yellow goo dripping off of Jesse.
"That would be..demon stuff." Blake said chuckling as he watched Jesse head for the stairs.
"Well, it's gross." Dawn said, covering her nose as she finally got a good whiff of the stench coming off of Jesse.
"You should have seen it Dawn." Blake said laughing as he walked towards her desk. "Funniest damn thing I've ever seen."
"I bet." Dawn said, finally uncovering her face as Jesse was out of sight.
The occupants of the Hotel all jumped and turned towards the stairs as another loud crash was heard. They looked where the noise came from before looking over at Dawn, noticing the big smile that was now on her face.
"What the hell was that?" Blake asked, turning back towards the stairs.
"That would be.." Dawn started to say but Ravyn's over excited yelling clued them all in for her.
"Oh" Blake said, trying to hide his smile as he looked at the others.
"They've been at it for a whil thi think. The crashing just started though."
Everyone turned and looked at Dawn, all of them biting their lips, trying to hide their smiles as the sound of breaking glass was heard.
"Are they.you know or killing each other?" Dylan asked as he sat down on the side of Dawn's desk.
"Don't think they're killing each other." She said, smiling up at him.
Dylan let out a small chuckle as he looked at Dawn. "Wanna go see if we can make more noise than them?" he whispered to her as he leaned down close to her.
Dawn's smile increased as she looked at him. "Not sure we could." She said, leaning up and giving him a small kiss.
"Maybe not, be fun to find out though."
Dawn looked over at Blake and Angel as they each walked off in different directions before looking back at Dylan. She smiled big at him before she stood up. "Come on." She said, grabbing his hands and pulling him off the desk.
Dylan smiled big as he followed Dawn up the stairs, shaking his head and chuckling with Dawn as another crash was heard.
~*~*~
Ravyn clenched her eyes shut tight as Spike ground himself into her. She had lost all of her breath after the last fall they had taken. She had no idea a little strip tease would get him so worked up but her mind was to far gone to process anything much.
Spike had his head buried in Ravyn's neck, sucking at her flesh as the feel of her beneath him and the added bonus of her emotions had him in a frenzied state. His whole body ached. He was buried in her as far as he could go, but it still wasn't enough.
Ravyn had her legs wrapped around him, her hands clutching him to her tightly. She raked her nails down his back, trying to get closer to him as her usual tingles were spiraling out of control.
"god you feel so good." Spike said breathlessly against her neck as he drove into her.
Ravyn gasped loudly, squealing slightly as his thrust increased in intensity. She un-wound her legs from his waist, rolling them so that she was now on top. Spike grabbed her hips, thrusting his up into her as she slammed herself down onto him.
Ravyn felt her eyes roll back as he thrust up into her, the feeling causing her whole body to go numb. Spike felt her inner walls tighten around him and he sat up quickly, grabbing her and rolling her back to the floor. He thrust into her hard, grunting with every thrust as her gasp for air became quicker and louder.
"Oh god Spike.." Ravyn breathed out, arching her back as she felt her release nearing.
Spike sat up, holding his body weight up with his hands as he thrust into her. He let out a small groan as she tightened around him before she grabbed his arms, squeezing hard as she screamed, falling over the edge as her climax rocked through them both. Spike growled loudly as he spilled his seed, gritting his teeth as he emptied himself inside of her.
Ravyn was still screaming as her body trembled violently until she was crying, unable to stop.
Spike fell onto of her, spent and winded. He panted for breath as Ravyn cried. He brought his hand up, rubbing the side of her face as she wrapped her arms and legs around him.
"I love you Spike." She cried, kissing his shoulder before he raised his head and placed his mouth to hers.
Ravyn moaned as his tongue forced its way inside her mouth. She grabbed the back of his head and held him to her as he kissed her breathless.
Spike pulled away from her, kissing a line down her jaw to her neck. "I love you" he said before finally resting his head on the floor.
They both lay there, panting for un-needed air as their bodies calmed. Ravyn was running her hand through Spike's hair, a small satisfied smile on her face as her crying stoppede fie finally opened her eyes and looked around, giggling quietly when she saw the room.
"Angel is gonna kill us when he sees what we did to his furniture."
Spike finally raised his head and looked around. "He needed to update this stuff anyway." He said, taking in the site of the now broken dresser. Most of the pictures were on the floor and what furniture was still standing was moved from its original position.
Spike leaned down, placing a soft kiss on Ravyn's lips before reluctantly pulling himself out of her. Ravyn groaned at the loss of contact but smiled when she saw the look on Spike's face.
"You hurt?" she asked as he sat up on his knees.
Spike looked down at her and smiled. "Only thing that don't hurt is my hair." He said as Ravyn sat up.
"Poor baby." She said, sticking her lips out, pouting for him.
"Not exactly complaining." He said, leaning down and sucking her lip in his mouth before he pulled back and stood.
Spike reached his hand out, helping Ravyn up off the floor, pulling her to him when she was on her feet. "I really liked your dance." He said softly as he leaned his forehead against hers.
"Really?" Ravyn said as she smiled big. "Cause I couldn't tell."
Spike chuckled at her before kissing her quickly and letting her go. "Maybe I need to be more convincing next time?"
"And what makes you think there'll be a next time?"
Spike raised an eyebrow at her before giving her a side ways smile. "Because you enjoyed that as much as I did..that's how." He said before winking at her and turning to find his clothes.
Ravyn smiled and shook her head as he turned and gasped softly when she saw his back. "Oh my god Spike." She said, walking up to him. "Does that hurt?' she asked, taking in the long red whelps that were running up and down his back.
Spike looked back over his shoulder at her as she ran he hand lightly over his back. "No." he lied, the scratches stinging more as she touched them.
Ravyn felt bad as she looked at it. She had no idea she had clawed him that bad. She put both hands on his shoulders and leaned forward, licking the small drops of blood that ran along the biggest scratches before kissing at his wounds.
Spike closed his eyes as she licked at the burning marks. "Umm.Ravyn, unless you want another go at it, you might want to stop that." He said, the feel of her tongue against his skin slowly arousing him again.
Ravyn smiled before pulling back away from him and walking around to stand in front of him. "I'm sorry." She said softly, wrapping her arms lightly around his waist. "I didn't mean to hurt you."
"S'alright luv..didn't actually feel it till I stood up." He said, pushing her hair away from her face.
"Guess I'll have to do an extra naughty dance next time to make it up to you." she said smiling.
Spike grinned as he looked at her. "If you get any naughtier than what you just did, we'll probably both get shagged unconscious."
Ravyn giggled at him as she laid her head on his shoulder. "Love you." She said quietly as she held him.
"Love you too." Spike said, wrapping his arms around her.
Ravyn lifted her head when she heard a scream and looked at Spike wide-eyed.
Spike turned towards the door, listening and smiled when he heard Ravyn giggle.
"Looks like Dawn found the joys of a vampire lover." Ravyn said giggling.
"Sounds like." Spike said as he turned back around and tried to find his clothes.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
The following week was stressful for everyone. There wasn't a day that went by that someone didn't get in an argument about their latest plans to take on Trull. No one was more stressed than Ravyn though.
As the plans were being finalized, she became withdrawn and kept to herself. She had been thinking a lot about her options and even though running sounded like a good plan to her, Spike was dead set against it.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Ravyn slipped her shoes on, standing up from the chair in her room as she looked at Spike. She had laid awake the whole morning deciding on whether or not to go through with her plan and after hours of agonizing what ifs.she had finally made the decision that she knew in her heart was the best one...no matter how much it pained her to do it.
Ravyn walked over to the bed, kneeling down beside of it as she looked at Spike. She lifted her hand, pushing his hair away from his forehead as he slept and smiled as she looked at him. She just watched him sleep for a few minutes, knowing the longer she waited, the harder it was going to be.
"I love you Spike..Always.." she said softly, leaning up and placing a light kiss on his lips. "..Forever" she whispered against his lips, before standing up. "Its all for you."
She wiped her eyes as tears pooled up in them. She smiled sadly at his sleeping form and put her hand over her mouth as a small sob escaped it. Turning quickly, she walked to the door and quietly snuck out, pulling the door shut behind her.
Ravyn made her way to the sewer entrance in the basement of the Hotel, climbing down quickly and pulling the hatch shut behind her. She climbed the latter down into the filth that lay there and looked both ways down the tunnels and tried to remember which way to go. After getting her bearings, she turned, walking quickly before she started to run. She couldn't chance anyone following her and the faster she got away, the better off everyone would be.
As she neared her destination, her whole body was tingling. She tried to calm herself, trying not to alert Spike that anything was wrong. Coming to the street entrance of the sewer Ravyn climbed the latter, peeking out before lifting the cover and crawling out.
She stood on the street, looking at the one place she hoped she'd never see again. Walking slowly she made her way to the mansion. As she neared the entry gates, she saw the activity inside increase. They had seen her.
Straightening her shoulders she stopped as the gates were opened for her and she was allowed in. She was escorted inside the house and taken to the main hall where she knew he was waiting.
Ravyn walked slowly, trying not to feel anything but her love for Spike as she walked closer to him. The smile on his face made her sick as she stopped in front of him.
She stared at him as he stood and approached her, fear finally taking its rightful place in her body.
"Welcome home my pet." Trull said with a smile as he reached out and grabbed Ravyn by the back of the neck, pulling her to him. "We've..missed you."
