"Where could she be?" Dawn asked Rob as they droveund und looking for Ravyn.
They had been searching for her for over an hour after they failed to find her in the Hotel. The gang had split up into groups taking two different cars, making their search spread out over the city. Phillip had stayed behind with Angel incase setureturned.
"You don't think Trull has her do you?" Dawn asked worriedly as she chewed on her fingernails.
"I don't think so Dawn." Rob told her as he drove away from the city. "She probably just needed some time alone."
"Where are you going?" Dawn asked as the city lights grew dim behind her.
"I'm thinking she may have gone to Spike's." Rob said as he drove towards the beach.
"Surely she wouldn't have walked that far." Dawn said as she turned to face him.
"Why wouldn't she?"
"Well, its miles to the beach house."
"So...if she walked miles carrying him, why wouldn't she walk miles just to see him?"
Dawn thought about it for a minute before picking her cell phone up and dialed Spike's number. She sighed and cursed quietly to herself when he never answered.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Spike was lying across the bed, staring at the empty space beside of him as the phone rang. He never heard it as hind ind still was on Ravyn.
Seeing her again was more painful than he ever thought it would be. There wasn't a minute that went by that he didn't think of her. He hadn't been able to sleep well since before Angelus had come and taken her.
He just couldn't get past what she had done. No matter how hard he tried, he could still see `them' together and it tore his heart out every time he thought about it.
Spike closed his eyes, remembering the look on her face when he told her `he didn't want her there and not to come back'. The pain she had caused him was nothing compared to what he saw on her face by a simple statement.
It pained him to know he had hurt her, but it felt good at the same time. He wanted her to hurt as much as he did, but wanted to take it all away too.
He didn't know how he was goi going to get over her or if he even could. She was his. His mate. His lover. His friend. How could he possibly turn his back on her knowing he would spend the rest of his existence longing to be with her?
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Dawn slammed the phone down on the dash of the car as her fifth attempt to call Spike went unanswered. "I am so going to kick his ass for this!" she yelled, upset he wouldn't answer.
"Calm down Dawn." Rob told her as he glanced over at her. "You know how he is when he's pissed."
"Yeah, he's a total jackass!"
Rob chuckled at her as he looked back at the road. He had to agree with her on that one. Spike was the most stubborn person he had ever met.
"OH MY GOD! STOP THE CAR!" Dawn screamed as she turned around in her seat and slapped at Rob's arm.
"WHAT! " Rob yelled as he slammed on the breaks. Dawn's outburst and her mini assault on his arm, scaring him.
Dawn opened the door and jumped out with Rob doing the same.
"What is it Dawn!?" he yelled as his heart pounded against his rib cage.
Dawn ran back down the street a piece and crossed the road, running into the grass on the other side. Rob followed her and knew it was Ravyn before he ever saw her. He could hear her heartbreaking cries as he drew closer.
Dawn found Ravyn lying on the side of the road, curled into a ball, crying. She had never in her life heard anything so upsetting. Ravyn's cries were filled with pain and anguish and Dawn's heart broke as she too felt everything Ravyn was feeling.
Dawn knelt down beside of Ravyn, her own crying triggered by the desperate wailings of her friend. She picked Ravyn's head up and laid it in her lap as she brushed her hair back. "Ravyn, don't cry." she told her softly through her own tears. "Everything will be alright."
Rob finally made it over to them and had to look away. Ravyn looked absolutely broken. Seeing her like that on sideside of the road made him wonder if he knew half as much about vampires as he thought he did. It was so unreal to see anyone in that condition of despair, especially a vampire.
The small noises and whining that accompanied her cries were vampiric in nature, this he knew, but the sound of it reminded him of a dying animal. It sent chills up his spine as he stood there and listened. To see her lying on the side of the road and hear her make those noises made him wonder if she weren't.
Dawn leaned over, laying her head against Ravyn's as she cried with her. She ran her hand up and down Ravyn's back, trying to comfort her but knew it was useless. The only thing that would help, cast her aside.
Ravyn cried hard as she reached up and clung to Dawn. She couldn't stop crying. It felt as if her life had ended. She never thought Spike would ever turn his back on her and to have him do it was more painful than the stake he had driven into her chest.
"I didn't do anything wrong." Ravyn said as she cried. "Why won't he believe me?"
Dawn cried harder as held onto Ravyn. She could barely even understand what she was saying, she was crying so hard. The small noises she was making also made it hard to hear. It was the most heartbreaking thing Dawn had ever heard.
Rob took a deep breath and blew it out slowly. He wiped his eyes as they tiered up and turned to face the girls. He walked over and bent down, rubbing Dawn's head until she looked up. "Let me have her Dawn." he said, his voice thick with emotion.
Rob reached out, taking Ravyn into his arms and standing. She was completely limp in his arms as she continued to cry.
He could barely see as he walked back to his car, his vision clouded with tears.
Dawn ran back to the car and opened the back door, climbing in as Rob carried Ravyn. He carefully put Ravyn in, shutting the door once she was settled. He walked around the car, shutting the passenger side door and wiped his face again before getting back in the car. Turning the car around, he headed back to the Hotel, wondering if Ravyn would ever get past this.

Phillip was pacing the floors as Angel sat on the sofa. They were both worried as they waited to hear from the others.
They both looked at each other wide-eyed as they heard Ravyn`s cries. They jumped and ran towards the lobby as Dawn walked in the door and het opt open as Rob walked in carrying her.
Phillip rushed towards them as they entered. "What happened?" he asked frantically.
"We found her like this." Dawn said as she looked at Ravyn.
Angel walked over to Rob and took Ravyn from him. He never said a word as he turned and carried her up the stairs.
"Where was she?" Phillip asked as they all stood and watched Angel carry Ravyn to her room.
Dawn looked over at Phillip and sighed lightly. "She was on the side of the road."
"Just sitting there?"
"No, more like lying there, crying."
"Poor girl." Phillip said as he looked up towards the steps. ""Where was she?"
"She wasn't to far from Spike's." Rob told him. "I'm thinking she must have seen him."
Dawn looked up the stairs as she could still hear Ravyn crying. She didn't know what had happened but she had every intention on finding out.
~*~
Angel walked into Ravyn's room and carried her to the bed. He sat down, sitting her beside of him as she cried. He could hear the small noises she was making and he wrapped his arms around her tight and leaned down, laying his cheek against her head. He purred softly as he rocked her, trying to comfort her. He knew the pain she was in by the sounds she was making. He sighed lightly knowing, this was all his fault.
He didn't know what she would do when she finally realized he was there, but felt he needed to do something, anything to help right the wrong he had caused.
Ravyn nuzzled her face against Angel's neck as he started to purr. She cried harder as he wrapped his arms tighter around her. She had never felt so alone in her life. She just wanted the pain to go away.
Angel kissed the top of her head as she wrapped her arms around him and held onto him. He shut his eyes as they tiered up, her painful whimpering breaking his heart. He didn't know how he would ever fix what he had done, but he'd spend the rest of his existence trying.

Dawn unlocked Spike's door and quietly entered the dark house. She turned on the light in the living room and was shocked at the sight before her. She wondered if he had gone mad as she looked at the ruble that lay there.
She walked down the hall, stepping over broken pictures that lay about the floor. The whole house was destroyed. The walls were bare and furniture lay in pieces.
Stepping up to the bedroom door, Dawn saw him lying on the bed staring at the wall.
"Spike" saidsaid softly as she walked in. As mad as she had been at him, it all melted away as she looked at him. He was covered with bruises and she could tell he had been crying.
She walked over to the bed and sat down beside him. "Spike" she said again when he didn't acknowledge her.
"Why does it hurt so much?" he asked quietly, never breaking his gaze from the wall.
Dawn reached up, laying her hand on the side of his face as she looked at him. "Did Ravyn come by?"
Spike closed his eyes and Dawn knew that she had. "What happened?"
"I told her to leave."
"Spike....why? What is going on?" Dawn asked confused. "Please tell me what happened."
Spike sighed heavily, finally opening his eyes and looking up at her. "She slept with him." he said in almost a whisper as his eyes tiered up.
Dawn's eyes went wide as she looked at him. She never imagined that. She could completely see why he had been so crazy with her in the warehouse now. "Spike, I'm sure there's more to it" she said as she looked at him. "She loves you."
Dawn stared at him as a few tears fell from his eyes. He looked as miserable as Ravyn did. She gave him a sad smile before leaning down, wrapping her arms around him.
Spike wasn't able to hold his emotions back as Dawn held him. He held on to her tight as he began to cry. "I miss her so much." he whispered through his tears.
"And she misses you." Dawn told him as she held him. "She loves you Spike, why don`t you just talk to her?"
Spike cried harder as Dawn gently ran her hand over his head. "I can't. Every time I think about it......"
Dawn rubbed her hand up and down Spike's back as he cried. She sighed lightly as she tried to comfort him. She wasn't sure who was worse, him or Ravyn. They were both hurting and it pained her to have her friends so miserable.
Spike finally calmed after a few minutes and pulled away from Dawn, rolling to the other side of the bed and sitting up. Dawn just watched him as he sat there with his back to her.
"Have you tried talking to her?" Dawn asked him qui.
.
"I can't." Spike told her softly. "Every time I look at her I can see `em together."
"Wellu hau have to talk to her sometime.you can't just pretend like she's not here."
"Yes I can." Spike said quietly.
Dawn sighed as she looked at him. "Spike...Whatever happened, I'm sure you can work it out."
"NO" Spike said loudly as he turned his head slightly. "There's nothing to work out."
"Do you think maybe he forced her? I mean, you know Angelus better than I do. Maybe she had no choice."
Spike let his shoulders slump slightly as he thought about it. His mind went back to the look on Ravyn's face as Angelus told all. "No..I could tell by the look on her face Dawn."
"Yeah, and what was that?" Dawn asked him.
"Just drop it!" Spike told her as he stood.
"Spike, you're being a baby!" Dawn said loudly as she also stood. "She loves you..."
"Yeah, she has a great way of showing it!" he yelled interrupting her.
"Yeah, well I guess finding her lying on the side of the road crying hysterically was what..proving how much she hates you?" Dawn said sarcastically.
Spike just looked at her as her face was slightly pink from her building anger. "What are you talking about?"
"Why do you care?" Dawn said hatefully, as she turned and walked out of the room.
"Hold on!" Spike yelled as he followed her out of the bedroom. "What are you talking about?"
Dawn stopped in the hall and sighed heavily as she turned around. "When she left the Hotel, we went looking for her. She didn't tell anyone she was leaving so we just drove around. Rob and I found her lying on the side of the road a few miles away from here."
"Is she okay?" Spike asked, a concerned look on his face.
Dawn let out a small laugh. "Oh yeah...it's perfectly normal to find vampires with broken hearts on the road side in the middle of no where."
Spike sighed, getting frustrated at Dawn's snappy attitude. "You know what I mean."
"I know." Dawn said looking down. "I'm sorry Spike.it's just so..." Dawn looked back up at him, a sympathetic look on her face. "Spike, I know you're hurting right now, but she is too. Just talk to her."
Spike gave Dawn a long look before running his hand through his hair. "I just don't think I can.not right now."
"Fine" Dawn said quietly. "She's in good hands right now. Don't worry, not that you were anyway." She added as she turned and walked towards the door.
"And what's that's suppose to mean?" Spike asked loudly as he followed her.
"Just what I said Spike." Dawn told him as she opened the door. "She needs someone right now and luckily for her, she has someone who loves her and can be there for her."
Spike watched as Dawn walked out and shut the door. He sighed heavily before reaching out and locking the door. He flipped the lights back off and went to his room, stopping as he neared the bed, his clouded brain finally realizing what Dawn had said.
"Great!" he yelled to himself. "Captain poof to the rescue." He said sarcastically as he sat down on the edge of the bed.
Spike fell back on the bed, staring up at the ceiling, the images of a `soulful' Angel comforting Ravyn making him almost sick. *What now?* he asked himself as he shut his eyes and tried to figure out what he was going to do.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Ravyn sat quietly, still in Angel's tight embrace. She still had her arms wrapped around him and as much as she knew she should be mad at him, she just felt to empty to do anything other than sit there.
"You okay?" Angel asked her quietly once she had calmed.
"No" Ravyn answered as she moved her head a little, resting it on his shoulder.
l ral ran his hand down her back, smoothing out her hair as he did. He had so many things he needed to say to her, but where to begin.
Ravyn sighed lightly before releasing him and sitting up. She glanced over at him when he sat up straight and looked at her. She gave him a tiny smile before wiping her face dry, feeling awkward all of a sudden.
"Ravyn, I just.."
"Don't" Ravyn said softly as she looked over at him. "I know."
Angel just stared at her. She looked so tired. She had lost that sparkle that was always in her eyes and the `glow' he always thought she had on her face. She looked old, like years of her life had been drained away. "Did you talk to Spike?" he asked her quietly.
Ravyn looked down at the floor and took a deep breath. She closed her eyes as she felt them stinging with fresh tears. "He said he didn't want me there.and to not come back." She said, almost in a whisper as she looked back up at him.
Angel reached out, pushing her hair away from her face. "I'm so sorry Ravyn. I never meant to hurt you."
Ravyn stared at him as he smoothed her hair out. She could see the truth in his words as all of his regret played out in his eyes. She gave him the best smile she could and reached up, taking his hand in hers. "I know you didn't." she told him as she held his hand. Nothing's ever been simple where Spike and I are concerned. It was probably just a matter of time before it all went to shit anyway." She added with a sad smile.
Angel smiled as he looked at her. "You think so?" he asked as her mood seemed to lighten slightly.
Ravyn smiled as she continued to stare at him. "Oh yeah, I have this gift for screwing things up and pissing him off."
Angel watched as her smile slowly faded away and her eyes tiered up again. The pain he felt for what he had done was nothing compared to what he saw in her eyes.
"What did I do that was so wrong?" Ravyn asked softly as a few tears fell down her cheeks.
Angel reached up, brushing her tears away. "You didn't do anything wrong Ravyn. He'll be back once he's had time to cool off and realize that."
"But what if he don't?" she asked sadly.
Angel couldn't bear to tell her what he really thought. He knew Spike. He knew if he thought Ravyn had been unfaithful to him it would be unlikely for him to forgive her anytime soon, if at all, especially seeing as it was him who she had `supposedly' been unfaithful with. The fact that it was him was enough to have Spike brewing for months.
"He will." Angel told her smiling. "He's a fool if he doesn't."

y Dyy Dylan." Dawn said smiling as she answered the phone.
Angel turned his head quickly when he heard her and looked over at the guys. "Come on." He said quietly as heked ked to his office.
Jesse shut the office door as he was the last to enter and took a seat with the others.
"What's up?" Blake asked as they all sat down around the desk.
"I saw Trull." Angel told them as they sat.
"You saw him?" Rob asked surprised.
"Yeah, he's the one who had my soul stripped away."
"Why did he do that?" Blake asked. "What did he have to gain from it?"
"Well, he wanted Ravyn back for one." Angel said as he looked at him. "And, he wanted Spike dead."
The guys just stared at him for a minute before Jesse asked the one question on everyone's mind.
"You.you weren't gonna kill him, were you?"
Angel didn't even have to answer. The look on his face let the others know exactly what he was going to do.
"Well." Rob said, breaking the silence in the room. "What else did he want? Surely there was more to it than that."
"Yeah, a lot more."
"And?"
"And.he wanted me to go to Brazil."
Everyone's eyes went wide. There had been so much activity lately that no one had even given much thought to `The Star'.
"Were you going to?"
Angel smiled big as he looked at them. "Yeah.I was."
"What's with the big smile?" Blake asked, giving him a lopsided grin.
"Well, I know exactly where it is.and how to get in."

Ravyn was hanging her clothes in the closet while Phillip busied himself around the room. No matter how many times she told him not to cater to her every need.he still did.
"Phillip, you ever been to New York?"
Phillip turned to look at her as she stared into the closet. "No Miss. I've never seen much of anything." He told her before he went back to making the bed.
"Would you like to?" Ravyn asked as she stared at Spike's duster that hung in her closet.
Phillip turned to look at her before slowly walking towards her. "Sure.someday."
"How about now?" she asked him quietly.
Phillip walked in behind her and looked at her as she stared into the closet. "Are you wanting to leave?"
"No" Ravyn told him softly.
Phillip watched her as she reached out, touching the leather of the coat. He knew what she was thinking and he smiled sadly at her. "I would love to visit New York Miss Ravyn."
Ravyn let go of Spike's coat and turned to face him. She looked at him with watery eyes and smiled. Of all the people in her life, Phillip was the only one she could completely depend on. He had never let her down and she knew he never would.

"You think he'll fall for it?" Rob asked as he prepared the ingredients for the spell.
"Let's hope so." Angel said as he peeked out Rob's window into the lounge where Dawn and Dylan were sitting. Angel had told them all about Dylan working for Trull. The fact that he was still hanging around had them all questioning why.
"Well, everything's ready." Rob said as he walked over to the window. "What do we don't if he won't go for it?"
Angel turned and looked at him. "We do it the hard way." He said with a smile.
Rob smiled back at him before walking to the door. "Well, here goes nothing."
Angel gave him a nod of his head and stepped back into the shadows as Rob opened the door. Dylan knew Angelus was working with Trull, what he didn't know was that `Angelus' was no more. The last thing they needed was him finding out and ruining their plans.
Rob walked out into the lounge, trying to look more confident than he felt. Knowing Dylan was playing Dawn and the rest of them had him ready to stake him, but Dawn was head over heels for him. They couldn't destroy her because of it.
"Hey" Dawn said smiling as Rob just stood there staring at her and Dylan.
"Hey Dawn..Dylan."
Dylan smiled back at Rob before also saying hello.
"Did you need something?" Dawn asked as he just stood there.
"Yes, actually." Rob said with a smile. "I was wondering if Dylan would like to help me with an experiment I've been working on."
Dawn glanced over at Dylan before looking back at Rob. "What kind of experiment?"
"Yes, well.I've been playing with a theory." Rob started nervously. "That a vampire doesn't absorb the blood it consumes right away, and was wondering if Dylan would like to help me prove that."
Dawn gave Rob a funny look before looking over at Dylan. "Your call." She said as she looked at him.
"What would I have to do?" Dylan asked him.
Rob smiled as he looked at him. "Nothing hard. Just consume a sample of blood I`ve prepared and then let me take a sample."
"A sample?" Dawn said as she turned to look at Rob again.
"Yes. Well, the blood is mixed with a chemical.it's perfectly safe, I assure you. It's only there so I can track it in the blood stream. Once he's consumed the blood, I'll just need a small sample of blood from him."
Dylan looked at Dawn then shrugged his shoulder at Rob. "Sure, don't see the harm in it."
Rob was jumping for joy inside as he looked at Dylan. "Great" he said with a smile. "I'll go get the blood all warmed up for you and we'll get started."
Rob rushed into the kitchen, pulling just an ordinary blood pack from the refrigerator and pouring it into a mug. After heating it up, he walked back to the lounge and handed it to Dylan. "Here you go." he said as he watched him. "It shouldn't taste any different than any other blood you consume."
Dylan looked into the mug and glanced over at Dawn. Her smile was enough encouragement for him. Even though he worked for Trull and his main objective was to seduce Dawn in order to gain personal information.he never intended on actually liking her. "Here's goes." He said as he lifted the mug and drank the contents quickly.
Rob sighed in relief as Dylan drained the mug. He really didn't want to do this `the hard way'. Giving Dylan his soul back goingoing to be stressful enough without having to fight him for a blood sample. "Very well, let me go get the hypodermic. I'll be right back."
Angel watched from the shadows of Rob's office as he entered quickly and grabbed the needle. He grinned as Rob flashed him a huge smile and walked back out into the lounge.
"Okay.you're not scared of needles are you?" Rob asked smiling as he approached Dylan.
"No" Dylan told him as Rob grabbed his arm and prepared a vein.
Dawn watched as Rob took the blood sample and she smiled big as she looked up at Dylan.
"There.all done." Rob said as he held a cotton swab over the puncture in Dylan's arm. "Shouldn't take to long to analyze. I'll let you know what the results are as soon as I find out." He said quickly as he turned and walked back to his office.
Dawn giggled slightly as she watched rob walk away. "He is so weird." She said quietly before looking back over at Dylan.
"Regular science guy?" Dylan asked her smiling.
"Yeah, you could say that."
~*~*~
Rob hurried to his office, shutting and locking the door behind him. Angel walked to the desk, watching as Rob prepared the spell. "Here goes." Rob said as he starting the incantation.
Angel watched with fascination as Rob chanted. He had had the spell performed on him many times.but he was never around to actually watch. He looked down when the hairs on his arm started to rise as the whole feel of the room changed. He hurried over to the window, just to keep an eye on Dawn and turned quickly when a flash of light caught his attention. Just as he turned to Rob, the silence of the Hotel was broken as Dylan screamed.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Angel knocked softly on Ravyn's door and waited. He smiled when she opened it. "Hey." He said as she moved to the side so he could enter.
"Hey Angel." Ravyn said as she walked back over to the bed.
"Going somewhere?" he asked as he looked at all of her clothes on the bed and the suitcases that lay open.
Ravyn turned to him and smiled. "Yeah. I'm leaving." She said as she looked at him.
To say Angel was shocked was an understatement. He was completely speechless.
"I'm going back to New York." Ravyn told him as she turned back to her packing. "I think it's time and besides..I think everything here is just a little too crazy for me right now."
"You can't." Angel said quietly as he approached her.
Ravyn turned her head and looked at him. The look on his face was something she wasn't expecting.
"Ravyn, you can't just up and leave."
Ravyn sighed as she looked down. "I can't stay here anymore Angel." She told him quietly.
"Ravyn, think about this before run off."
"I have thought about." She said as she turned to face him. "I'veted ted for two weeks and Spike still hasn't called. He's not going to." She added with a sad smile.
Angel just looked at her. He didn't want her to go, but he couldn't stop her either. "What about Dawn? She needs you here."
"No she doesn't. Dylan is doing much better now. The Star of Remeur is as good as found and all I'm doing is sitting up here waiting for something that's never coming."
Angel stepped closer to her and looked down at her. "I don't want you to leave." he said softly.
"And I don't want to leave." She told him sadly. "But I can't stay either. It hurts too much."
Angel knew she was leaving because of Spike and as much as he wanted her to stay, he knew she'd never stay just because `he' wanted her to. "Please don't go."
Ravyn smiled as she looked up at him. "You've been a really good friend Angel, well, except for that whole split personality thing you had, but I can't stay. It's just too hard. It'll be better if I'm as far away from here as I can get."
Angel reached out and pushed her hair away from her face as he looked at her. "I don't want you to go."
"I know you don't." she said softly as she looked up at him smiling. She knew why he wanted her to stay, but she couldn't give him what he wanted.
Ravyn reached up, wrapping her arms around his neck, as he wrapped his around her waist. "I'll never forget you Angel." She said as they held each other.
Angel closed his eyes as he took in her scent. He missed her already and she wasn't even gone. "Isn't there anything I can say to make you change your mind?" he asked as he held her tighter to him.
Ravyn never answered him. The one thing she wanted wasn't coming back and as much as it pained her to know that Spike didn't want her anymore, knowing that someone she didn't love did want her was just as painful.
Ravyn smiled as she pulled her head back to look at him. "You're going to make some lucky girl a great mate one of these days."
"What about you?" Angel asked. It was more than just a question and Ravyn knew it.
"I already have a mate." She told him softly.
"No you don't." he said quietly as he looked at her.
Ravyn felt her chest tighten at his words and pulled her arms away from his neck.
"I can make you happy Ravyn.if you'll just give me the chance."
Ravyn looked down, unable to look at him. She closed her eyes as she thought about what he was feeling.
Angel brought his hand up, lifting her chin so he could see her face. "Ravyn, I'm in love with you. I think I have been since the first time I saw you." He told her softly. "I know you don't love me, but that doesn't mean that you couldn't.someday."
Ravyn gave him a little smile as she looked at him. She leaned up, placing a small kiss on his lips, lingering there for a few seconds before she pulled away. "I better finish packing." She said as she pulled herself away from him and went back to her clothes.
Angel watched her and knew she'd live out the rest of her existence alone with only her friend Phillip by her side. She'd never love another. He didn't know whether to be impressed with Spike's ability to affect her so much or be sad for her, for shutting herself off to the rest of the world.
Angel turned slowly and made his way back to the door. He turned and looked at her as he opened it and smiled. "I'll miss you." He said quietly as he turned and left her alone.
"I'll miss you too." Ravyn said softly once he shut the door.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
The rest of the week was busy as Dawn helped Dylan deal with his `past crimes'. He was adapting to having his soul back with the help of Angel and knowing he and Angel still had access to Trull's hideout was a plus.
Ravyn had waited, purposely stalling her trip in hopes that Spike would come. After three weeks since the night at the warehouse, she was finally convinced, he didn't want her anymore. The more she thought about it, the more she realized `she' was the one wronged. He didn't trust her. She had been in enough bad relationships to know that without trust, you didn't have anything.
She looked out at the city skyline from her spot on the back porch of the Hotel. The others were all busy with their daily activities and she sighed heavily as she leaned against the banister railings, laying her head against it as she thought about what she would do with the rest of her life. Everyone had a purpose, something to do to keep them busy. She never did, and still didn't.
She had had a long conversation with Dawn about all the things she ever wanted out of life and of all of those, she had two, but even those were gone now. She had always been a simple giwantwanting nothing more than what every girl wanted. Being a vampire took most of those things away. Spike was the only thing that fit into her dreams, and now that was gone too.
She closed her eyes, smiling sadly to herself as she thought of him. She knew if she lived another hundred years, he'd always be in her thoughts.
Ravyn sighed lightly and opened her eyes back up as she heard the door open. "Is it time to go?" she asked quietly, ready but dreading it all the same.
She turned her head slowly when she didn't get an answer, her heart falling to her stomach as she did.
"Hey Kitten." Spike said softly as he looked at her. "I think we need to talk."
