"Now, now William, you're not trying to bust up my little party....are you?" Angelus asked as he leaned casually up against the doorframe, staring at them. "I barely even tasted her." he added with a smile as he licked his lips. "Isn't that right baby?"
Ravyn looked wide-eyed at Angelus as he stood there smiling at them and her breath caught in her throat as she heard Spgrowgrowl. She turned her head quickly and looked over at him only to see that he was already vamped out. "Spike don`t....let's just go." she said quietly, reaching out and grabbing his arm. "I want to go home."
Spike shrugged her arm away and took a few steps in front of her as he looked at Angelus. "Been looking for you." he growled, as he glared at his smiling grand-sire.
"Wish I could say the same for you....but, we've been a little busy." Angelus said, raising an eyebrow as he looked at Ravyn. "Isn't that right, precious?"
"Shut Up Angelus!" Ravyn yelled at him. "Come on Spike...let's go." she almost begged him, knowing this was about to get ugly.
"Why the rush sweetie, I thought we were having fun." Angelus said to Ravyn, a toothy grin on his face. "At least that's what it seemed like to me, you know with all that screaming and moaning you were doing. Or are you just some little cock tease, screaming out for anything or anybody that slides in-between those thighs of yours?"
Spike turned his head and looked at Ravyn briefly before looking back at Angelus.
"What's the matter boy, you think she spreads those legs `just' for you?" Angelus asked with a chuckle. "You should know better than that."
Spike growled louder as he looked at him. He could almost feel his blood surging through his body as his anger at Angelus escalated into a blinding rage he had never felt before.
"No wonder you're so hell bent on keeping her......that's the best piece of ass I've ever had, you too I`d imagine. She tastes just like honeysuckles and cinnamon, wouldn't you agree? Best thing I`ve ever tasted."
Spike turned hate filled eyes on Ravyn. Her eyes were glassy with un-spilled tears as he looked at her.
"He's lying Spike. Don't listen to him." Ravyn told him. She could see the doubt in his eyes as he looked at her. "He's just trying to get a rise out of you."
"Ah, now come on Doll, don't be like that. We discussed this, remember?" Angelus said with a grin. "I asked you if you were going to tell him about us and you said......what was it again?" he asked as he leaned his head to the side smiling. "Oh yeah, now I remember...it was something like... `fuck me harder Angel`......wasn`t it?" he added with a sly grin.
Ravyn couldn't hold back her tears as Spike looked at her. The look on his face broke her heart into a million pieces. "He's lying Spike...nothing happened." she said softly as she looked into his eyes. She knew he didn't believe her. She could see his anger rolling off him and he was breathing heavily as he glared at her with the same hate filled eyes that once looked at Angelus. "I swear, nothing happened." she cried.
Spike looked at her as she stood there, huge tears rolling down her face. He wanted nothing more than to believe her and a part of him did, but he also knew how Angelus was. He had seen him twist perception so much that women would believe anything he told them.
He could see the fear in Ravyn's eyes as he stared at her. Just the look on her face alone made him doubt her. Reaching out he grabbed her chin, pulling her face up so he could see her clearly. "Did you?" he asked her through clenched teeth. "Did you let him touch you?"
"No" Ravyn cried truthfully. "I would never let anyone touch me but you Spike....don't listen to him."
"He
"Hey William...that little beauty mark on the inside of her right thigh...you think that looks more like a flower or......."
Spike let go of Ravyn's chin hastily and stepped back from her as he hardened his eyes. He was almost sickened as he looked at her. How could she?
Reaching out, Ravyn laid her hand on his arm, only to jump back when he growled loudly at her and pulled away from her. She let out a small sob as her heart crumbled. He trusted the words of a maniac over hers. What did that say about their relationship? If he didn't trust her, then what else could she say?
"Well, not to be impolite or anything, but me and my lady have some unfinished business to attend to." Angelus said with a delighted smile. "So, if you don't....."
Angelus' words were cut off as Spike jumped, crashing into him and throwing them both out into the main room. Their bodies slid halfway across the room before they were both up on their feet and slowly circling each other.
"Spike!" Ravyn yelled as she ran out after them. She wiped her tear soaked eyes and looked wide-eyed as Spike and Angelus circled one another before they both attacked, growling loudly as they did.

"Did you hear something?" Rob asked Jesse as they stepped out of the building they had just checked.
"No...what did it sound like?"
"I don't know...a scream maybe."
Jesse stopped and listened for a few seconds then shrugged his shoulder. "Might have been a cat or something." he said as he turned and started walking to the next building.
"Yeah, maybe so."

Ravyn screamed out Spike's name as he threw endless punches at Angelus, catching him hard with every blow. They were both vamped out and she knew that any minute now they'd BOTH be gone. "Spike....stop!" she screamed as new tears came to her eyes. She watched in horror as they hit and clawed at the other, biting and cutting into the other as they did. They were both growling so loudly, she was barely even able to hear herself over them.
She ran over to them, throwing herself in the middle, trying desperately to separate them but only managed to get thrown up against the wall for her efforts. Standing on shaky legs she watched with frightened eyes trying to figure out what to do.
"What's the matter boy, can't take the fact that your little bitch gave it up to someone other than you?" Angelus taunted as he struck out at Spike, landing a hard blow to his head.
Spike never said a word as he rained blows on Angelus, taking just as many. He had fought Angelus many times, but never had he wanted to see him dead as much as he did now.
Kicking out, he landing a hard blow to Angelus' head, snapping his head to the side. Blood flew from Angelus' mouth and he heard him laugh as he once again turned to face his opponent. "Do you really think she's worth all of this?" Angelus asked as he grinned.
"I'll kill you for touching her." Spike growled deeply as he once again flew at him. Ravyn cried harder as their growls became deeper and she knew she needed help.
Angelus laughed as he swung at Spike. "And touch her I did....she's as soft as a baby's......"
Running to the door, Ravyn flew outside, screaming for anyone or anything that could help her. She could feel the vibrations of their growls and snarls and knew they weren`t just fighting over her....it was more than that. This was a deadly game for dominance and someone would end up hurt....or worse.

Blake turned his head quickly and looked over at Dawn when he heard Ravyn scream. They both looked wide-eyed at each other before running out of the building they were in.
Rob and Jesse had just entered their building when they also heard Ravyn scream. They made it back out into the street at the same time as Dawn and Blake.
"This way!" Blake yelled as Ravyn screamed again. They all four ran down the street quickly, running to the sound of her frantic cries. As they rounded the corner they saw her running down the street towards them.
"Ravyn!" Dawn yelled as she saw her.
Ravyn almost passed out from the adrenaline rush when she saw the gang approaching her. She cried harder as she yelled out to them.
Blake was the first to reach her and she almost collapsed in his arms. She was looking at him wild eyed, screaming in long incoherent sentences.
"Slow down...what's wrong!" he yelled as he held her by her arms.
"They're killing each other!" she screamed frantically as she jerked in his grasp, trying to free herself.
Everyone looked at her. She had a glazed look in her eyes as she tried to free herself from Blake's grasp. It was a pure look of fear, unlike any of them had ever seen before.
"Who Ravyn...what's going on?" Blake asked her, trying to remain calm.
"Spike....and...Angel!" she cried out. "Please, we have to stop them!" she said as she finally broke free from him.
The gang ran after her as she tore off back down the street. They could hear the growling as they neared the warehouse and every one of them feared what they'd see once they entered.
"Rob...do you have the spell?" Blake yelled back at him as they approached the warehouse.
"Yeah, in the truck."
"Go get it!"
Rob stopped and turned back, running to the SUV as fast as he could. He wasn't sure how he would perform the spell if they were fighting, but it was their only chance.
As the others reached the warehouse, they all filed into the building, shocked at what they saw. Spike and Angelus were both covered in blood. They were tearing into one another, clawing and hitting the other with such rage, that the gang all wondered if it were even the same two people that they knew.
They all just stood there watching, unsure of what to do. No one wanted to be caught in the middle of that. Sure a vampire may be able to take a blow like that...but not a human.
"Oh my god Ravyn...what's happening?" Dawn asked as tears came to her eyes.
Ravyn put her hands in her hair as she watched them. She knew they needed to do something....what, she didn't know.
"I got it." Rob said breathlessly as he ran into the building. "Oh my god." he whispered softly as he looked at the two demons fighting in front of him. "Is that them?" he asked as he watched fascinated. It was unlike anything he had ever seen. The color of their eyes was unlike any color he could describe. Their faces were contorted in their demon facades, but it was different than he had ever seen and the growls and snarls coming from the two sent chills up his spine as he watched them. He had read enough Watcher Journals to know what he was seeing. "They're gone, aren't they Ravyn?"
Ravyn never took her eyes off of them. Silent tears rolled down her face as she watched. She couldn't let anything happen to either one of them. As much as she hated Angelus, she knew that a good, kind man was under there, waiting to come back. "We've got to stop them." she said quietly as she finally tore her eyes away from them and looked at the others.
"How?" Blake asked, knowing full well that he didn't want to get caught up in the middle of it.
"Rob, can you do the spell?" Dawn asked him with a shaky voice. "If we get Angel back, then maybe they'll stop."
"I can, but we need some of Angel's blood."
"How the hell are we suppose to get that?" Blake asked wide-eyed. "Are you going to go over there and try to get it?"
Everyone turned their attention back to the violent scene in front of them.
"How much do you need?" Ravyn asked as she tried to figure out a way to get in-between them without getting herself killed in the process.
"Not much...just a few drops is all."
Ravyn turned and looked at the gang again. "Anyone have a knife?"
"I do." Jesse said as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small pocketknife. "It's not much, but it's all I have."
"It'll have to do." Ravyn said as she took it from him and opened it. "I'll distract them, you get the blood." she said as she handed the blade to Blake.
"Why me?" Blake asked, completely terrified of getting in the brawl.
"Because you're the strongest one here besides me. You can take a punch better tthe the others." she told him as she unbuttoned the duster to allow herself a free range of movement. "I'll try to separate them enofor for you to get in, just be quick and get out as soon as you get it...okay?"
"Okay." Blake said wearily. He did not like this idea at all.
Ravyn walked cautiously closer to Spike and Angelus. She could tell they were tiring. They were both moving slower than before, but they were still vicious with their attacks on the other. "Alright Blake, no time to waste here. As soon as I make my move, be quick about it or you're probably gonna loose a limb."
"Jeez, that's comforting." Blake said sarcastically as he followed her.
"You ready?" Ravyn asked him as she looked over at him.
"No!" Blake said loudly. "But I guess I have no choice."
"No, not really." Ravyn said as she turned her attention back to Spike. "Let's go." she yelled as she ran, jumping hard and crashing into Spike. They slid across the floor a ways, and it was all she could do to keep a-hold of him. "NOW!" she screamed out to Blake as he ran towards Angelus.
Blake held the knife as Angelus rushed towards Spike, completely ignoring him. He lashed out hard, swiping the blade across Angelus' arm as he breezed by him. Angelus growled loudly as Blake cut him, stopping and swinging hard at him as he did, knocking him across the room.
Ravyn had her arms and legs wrapped around Spike's body, trying to hold him down. He was fighting her with everything he had in him and she screamed out as he clawed at her stomach, ripping the flesh as he did. "Spike......stop!" she screamed as he continued to attack her. He was snarling and growling as he tried to break the hold she had him in. Ravyn looked into his eyes and couldn't see `her' Spike anywhere. He was gone. There was nothing there but pure demon.
"I got it!" Blake screamed as he stopped sliding.
Ravyn let go off Spike as she saw Angelus running to them. Spike rolled out of her grip when she let him go and was back on Angelus faster than she had ever seen him move before. She lay there, panting for air as she held her bleeding body.
It was almost beautiful to watch as they fought, she thought. So much raw power flowed between the two that Ravyn couldn't help but admire the way the battle for dominance took place. She had seen many fights like this, but never had she been directly involved with one of the participants. It was almost as intoxicatingly arousing as it was frightening.
She sat up, still holding her stomach as she watched them. She stood and backed up slowly towards the others as the growls from Spike and Angelus vibrated throughout her body. "Did you get enough?" she asked Rob as she turned to look at him.
"I think so." he told her as he laid out the remaining ingredients for the spell. "Let's just hope this works."
"Here Ravyn." Dawn said as she removed her outer shirt, and handed it to her.
"Thanks" Ravyn said as she held the cloth to her, trying to stop the bleeding from the large gash on her stomach.
"What happens when it does?" Dawn asked in tears. "I mean, if Angel comes back, what's to stop Spike from killing him?"
Everyone looked at the two fighting men before looking at each other. They knew Angel would undoubtedly be disoriented when his soul was returned and would probably stop fighting.....but what about Spike.
"We'll worry about that when the time comes." Rob said as he crushed the herbs needed for the spell into a bowl.
Everyone watched Rob as he prepared the ingredients for the restoration spell. They were all nervous and kept stealing glances back over at Spike and Angelus.
Ravyn stepped away from the group. She knew just because Angel's soul was returned...didn't mean the fight would stop, at least not on Spike`s part. All it meant was that he would have a clear shot if Angel did pause in his attack.
Ravyn jumped and let out a small gasp as Angelus picked Spike up and threw him, causing him to crash through the weak wooden stairs that led to the upper loft. She watched, taking a few steps forward, waiting to see if he stood.
Her eyes were huge when he did....a large piece of the wooden step in his hand. "Hurry up back there!" she yelled as Spike once again advanced on Angelus, makeshift stake in hand.
The gang all watched the two as Rob chanted the incantation for the spell. They all watched horrified as the bloody fight progressed.
Spike raised the 'stake' as he once again swooped down on Angelus. Ravyn's breath caught in her throat. She knew she needed to stop it.....but how could she? What would that do if she broke it up? Two Master vampires fighting for dominance, being stopped by a woman. She couldn't let Angel die, but she couldn't stop Spike from proving himself either. He would hate her for it...if he didn't already.
Everyone let out a sigh of relief when Angelus kicked the 'stake' away from Spike. As long as the battle played out with no pointy objects getting in the way, then things might be okay until Rob finished the spell.
The room started to hum with electricity as the effects of the spell started to take effect. Ravyn felt the hairs on her arm rise and looked back over her shoulder at Rob. He looked lost in some sort of trance. It was almost as fascinating to watch as it was to watch Spike.
As his head fell back and the words seemed to flow out of his mouth softly, Ravyn turned her head when she heard Angelus scream. Spike had just kicked him half way across the room and she wasn't sure if 'that' was why he had yelled, or if it was the spell taking effect.
She watched as Angelus lay there, unmoving. She also watched Spike. He was just standing there staring at his fallen prey. Ravyn could see him breathing heavily and his body was swaying slightly. She knew he was tired and she stepped closer to him, thinking it was almost oveer eer eyes widened as he walked to his left, away from Angelus and picked up the piece of broken step he had picked up earlier.
"Spike" she yelled as he once again stood and advanced on Angelus.
Angel lay on the floor. His vision was clouded as much as his brain was. He had no idea where he was. He brought up a shaky hand, wiping at his eyes, trying to clear his vision.
Spike stalked slowly towards where Angel lay. His face was set with grim determination as he closed in on him.
"Did it work!" Blake yelled as Rob slowly lifted his head.
"I think so" he said groggily.
Angel stood on shaky legs, his whole body aching as he did. He turned his head and saw the gang all by the entrance of the building, horrified looks on all their faces. Turning his body, he saw Spike walking slowly towards him. The look on his face frightened Angel more than anything he had ever seen. That wasn't Spike.
"Spike!" Ravyn yelled again from her position behind him. He never turned or gave any indication that he had heard her.
With a loud roar, Spike jumped, attacking Angel again. They both fell to the floor. Angel growled loudly as the `stake' in Spike's hand slammed through his shoulder. He pushed Spike off of him violently and stood quickly as Spike did the same.
"Calm down Spike.....What's wrong?" Angel asked him confused as he stood there, Spike slowly circling him as he did, stake still in hand. He glanced over at Ravyn and saw her standing there in nothing but Spike's duster and her underwear and flashes came back to him. It only took a few seconds for the events of the past week to flood his memory and he knew 'exactly' what was happening.
"Spike.....Please!" Ravyn yelled again. She could see the look on Angel's face and hear the tone of his voice and knew...it wasn't Angelus. She cautiously approached them, not wanting to interfere but not wanting it to end badly either.
Just as Spike raised the stake again, Ravyn'ss wis widened and she ran, pushing Angel out of the way before Spike brought the killing blow down upon him. Angel staggered and fell hard as he heard Spike growl loudly and Ravyn scream. He watched as Spike grabbed Ravyn by the neck and slam her body against the wall, holding her in place.
Dawn screamed loudly as she watched them. Blake ran over to Angel, trying to help his stand as the others moved slowly towards Spike and Ravyn.
Ravyn looked up with terror filled eyes as the man she loved glared down at her. His face was mere inches away from hers and she tried desperately to remain calm.
"Spike" she whispered out, unable to speak clearly from the tight hold he had around her throat.
"Do you want him!?" Spike yelled in her face. His eyes boring holes into hers as he did.
(Spike....let her go!)
Ravyn couldn't say anything. She tried, but no sound was escaping. The pain he was inflicting on her as he held her by the throat was nothing compared to the pain in her chest. Her breaths were coming in short painful gasps as she looked up at his bloody, beaten face. She could see him slowly coming down, as his eyes took on a more yellow color than the almost red they were before.
(We've got to do something!)
"DO YOU WANT HIM!" Spike screamed as he stared at her hard and held her in place. No other reason would she save Angelus' useless self, other than the fact...she wanted him.
"No" she whispered out best she could. She could see the rage in his eyes as he stare down at her. "You're the only one I want." she said as fresh tears fell from her eyes.
"THEN WHY DID YOU SLEEP WITH HIM!?" Spike yelled, madder than he had ever been in his life as he looked into her face.
"I didn't" Ravyn cried, "I didn't Spike...I swear." she said desperately as he tightened his grip on her throat.
"YOU ....are a liar." he ground out hatefully.
"No Spike....I didn't" she cried harder, as she tried make him understand. "He's the one lying. I would never. Please, Spike....." Ravyn cried harder as she looked at him. How could she make him believe her?
Spike stared at her as she cried before he leaned forward, putting his forehead against hers. He closed his eyes as he listened to her and loosened his grip on her. He wanted to believe her so much it hurt, but a little voice in the back of his mind wouldn't let him. He had been down this road before and knew, Angelus would not have had her this long and nothing happen between them.
"I love you Spike" Ravyn said softly, bringing her hand up and laying it on the side of his face. "Only you...Always."
Spike let his human mask slid back in place as Ravyn stroked the side of his face. He felt tears stinging behind his closed eyelids as he stood there. He tried to calm his breathing as he listened to Ravyn's soft crying.
Opening his eyes back up, he looked at her. He could see her love for him in her eyes and he lightly rubbed his thumb over her neck. His body froze when he felt the scar on her neck. Lifting back up, he turned her head to the side and looked, getting another harsh sob out of her when he did. It was a bite mark...a fresh one at that, directly over his.
"YOU...are not worth the effort!" he ground out through clenched teeth, as he once again pressed against her throat. "I don't `need' you or your lies!"
Ravyn's tears fell quickly as he yelled at her things she never thought she'd hear him say to her. Her heart was breaking as the heat in her chest was consuming her body. She had never felt more dead than she did at that moment. "Spike" she half whispered out as she looked into his stormy blue eyes.
(Stay back! One wrong move is all it'll take)
Spike couldn't control his anger at her as he stared at her. He wanted nothing more than to snap her lying neck. "You said you loved me." he told her, his face inches away from hers, pushing on her neck again as he did. "You don`t know the meaning of the word. You're just a useless, lying whore and that`s all you`ll ever be." he ground out hatefully. "If one week away from me is all it takes for you to spread your legs for that bleedin ponce then I don't want you! You disgust me."
(Oh my god! Do something!)
Ravyn could see the intense look of hatred in his eyes, directed directly at her. Nothing she could ever say would change what he thought had happened. "I love you" she whispered in chocked gasps as her tears fell faster.
Spike gave her that cocky smirk as he looked at her. "I...Don't...Care." he said as he pushed back away from her, letting his hand fall from her neck as he did. "Have a nice life with the poof, you two deserve each other."
"Spike...please" Ravyn begged as he backed away from her. "I don't want him."
Spike chuckled at her as he stood there. "Well, he's all you got now Kitten. I don't want you."
Ravyn watched him turn and her body slid bonelessly down the wall. "Spike" she whispered as she watched him walk towards the door.
(Get her.....Don't let her move)
Ravyn watched, huge tears filling her eyes. She wished for death, knowing that even in death, she would still feel the sting of his words.
(Hold still Ravyn...we got ya)
"He left me...." she whispered as he walked out the door. She watched as his body left her sight and she closed her eyes.
(Ravyn...it's Dawn...can you hear me?)
Ravyn finally opened her eyes, looking back over at the door when she heard the motorcycle. "He said he'd always come for me. Why`d he leave?" she asked, completely confused at what had just happened.
(He'll be back...don't worry)
Ravyn blinked her eyes, as they became heavy. Nothing had ever felt as painful as watching him leave her.
(Get something to hold it still)
"He doesn't want me" she whispered sadly, her body going numb.
(Pull it out!)
"What did I do that was so wrong?"
...i...it may splinter. We'll have to leave it)
Ravyn looked into the faces of her friends as they all sat around her, screaming at each other as they held her up.
(Ravyn, don't breath, stay still)
She looked lazily at them before glancing back over at the door Spike had just walked out. "I can't live without him" she whispered to no one as her body once again shook from her crying.
(Hold still Ravyn)
She looked down as she felt a hand on her chest and blinked her eyes, trying to keep them open, as she saw what they were doing.
Another harsh cry escaped heroatroat as she looked down at herself. "He killed me." she whispered out, as she finally saw the `stake' sticking out of her chest.
