Spike opened his eyes slowly, blinking them trying to clear his vision. He looked up towards the ceiling before bringing his hand to the side of his face, rubbing lightly at the tender flesh. He sat up quickly as everything came back to him.
"Ravyn!" he yelled as he stood. He looked around the room wide eyed. The furniture was everywhere. The small tables were broken and the pieces thrown about the room. Pictures were knocked from the walls and glass lay about the carpet.
He stepped around the sofa, looking towards the open front door. He crept in the shadows as the suns rays streamed through. He kicked the door shut and went towards the bedroom.
"Ravyn" he said again...knowing she wasn't there. Angel had come for her. Well...he knew it wasn't Angel...it was Angelus. Never would Angel be so bold.
Spike clenched his jaw tightly as he jerked clothes from the closet, putting them on quickly, cursing to himself as he did. He could only imagine what Angelus was doing. The biggest question...how did he manage to be here to begin with?
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Ravyn opened her eyes with a start, jumping slightly as she did. She moved from her position on the floor and looked down as she heard chains.
"I really hated to do that...but you're one more hellcat when pissed off." Angelus said from his seat across the room.
Ravyn pulled at the chains that were around her ankles as she tried to see where she was. The room was dark and smelled musty. "Angel?" she asked loudly looking around.
"Angel's not here darling. Thought we already covered that."
Ravyn slid back towards the wall and stood. She could see him across the room in the shadows. "What are we doing here?"
"Well, we're doing whatever it is you want."
Ravyn chuckled lightly. "What I `WANT' is to go back home. Now unchain me!" she demanded, yelling at him.
Angelus stood from his chair and walked across the room towards her. "Now why would I do that?"
Ravyn watched him as he approached her. He was wearing black leather, something she rarely ever saw him wear. He was smiling, but he looked so much different from Angel. It was him...but it wasn't. She knew now why Dawn had looked at her the way she had when they talked about Angelus.
"Angel, let me go." she said, trying to remain calm.
Angelus stopped in front of her and raised his hand, pushing her hair away from her face. "But we haven't even had any fun yet."
Ravyn's fear rushed her fast as she looked at him. His eyes were cold and she knew `Angel wasn't there'. "You touch me and I'll kill you!" she yelled, hopeing she didn't sound nearly as scared as she felt.
"Oh...don't worry Doll. I'm not gonna do anything you don't `beg' me for first." he said with a grin as he stroked the side of her face. "A sweet thing like you.... won't be any fun if you're not screaming for more."
Ravyn closed her eyes for a minute as he rubbed his thumb over her check. She felt relieved he wasn't going to do anything....or at least he said he wouldn't. She just hoped he didn't change his mind later.

Spike was out the door the minute the sun had set. He had paced around the broken remains of his living room and recounted everything in his mind of the previous night. The more he thought about it, the angrier he became. The fact that Angelus had come in was bad enough....but for him to sit there and watch them? And how did they not hear him come in?
He drove towards the hotel quickly. He was hardly even able to see through his blinding rage. He knew Angel would never hurt Ravyn....but Angelus, that was completely different. He would do anything he wanted and usually did.

"Hey Dawn, is Angel up yet?" Rob asked as he walked towards her desk. "I need to show him something."
"I haven't seen him." she said as she looked up at him.
"Oh, well I think I may have found something he might be interested in." Rob said smiling as he held a piece of paper in his hand.
"Yeah...what's that?" Dawn asked, curious as to what had the big smile on Rob's face.
Rob looked at Dawn and remembered what Spike had told him. "Well, lets see what Angel thinks about it before we go discussing it...okay?" he asked her, not wanting to let her in on the `soul spell' he had found.
"What are we talking about?" Jesse asked as he and Blake walked in.
Dawn and Rob both looked up at them and they walked towards them. "Got me." Dawn said looking at them. "Apparently it's some big secret." she said grinning at Rob.
"A secret `eh?" Blake asked. "Now you know you have to tell."
Rob looked at them all, smiles on all their faces as they waited for him to tell. "Not yet. Not until Angel has had time to look at it."
"Important for Angel to see but not us?" Jesse asked, faking a hurt look. "Now that's not fair."
Rob shook his head and gave Dawn a little smile before turning and walking back to his office. He picked up the phone once he had entered his office and dialed Spikes number. He had searched for over a week and finally found the `back door' to the Council's secret files. The spell he found would `permanently' restore a vampires soul. He knew Angel would want that....only problem was, the vampire had to be without one to get it restored. Bringing back Angelus was something no one wanted to see happen. Angelus was to unpredictable and dangerous.
He waited and finally hung up when the machine picked up. Sitting at his desk, he read over the spell again, trying to learn every detail of it and how to correctly perform it. Once small mistake and who knows what would happen.

"You" Trull said, as he approached one of his minions huddled in a small group in the great room. "Take a team and search the city. I want Angelus found."
"Yes Master." he said as he stood.
Trull handed him a picture of Angel as he stood before them. "Do whatever you need to do to get him back here."
Trull turned as his men hurried away. He smiled as he walked back to his office. He would have Angelus before the week was out. This he was sure.
"Demetrie, is there a way to keep my little pigeon from flying away again once she is returned?" Trull asked as he entered his office.
"Yes Master. I'm sure I can find something."
"Good." Trull said as he sat. "I need to make sure this never happens again."
"Yes Master."
Trull sat with a satisfied smile on his face. "And see if you can find something.....painful for that vampire of hers. Something she can witness. Something slow and humiliating."
Demetrie smiled big. "I think I know just the thing Master."
"Really?" Trull asked as he sat up in his chair smiling. "Do tell."

Ravyn watched Angelus as he busied himself around the room. She tried pulling at her chains when he was preoccupied long enough, but was unable to break them. She wasn't sure where they were, but the room they were in was large. There was one door, which led into a larger room. It seemed to be some sort of warehouse, judging from the size of it.
There was scarce furniture around the room. Only a table, one chair.....and a bed. She closed her eyes and slumped back down to the floor. *Spike....I need you* she said to herself as she sat there.
She rested her head in her hands and wondered if he was okay. She knew he was hit pretty hard and his leg had just healed. She feared another break from the way he had landed when he flipped over the sofa.
Looking back up, she couldn't hold back the small growl that escaped her throat as she looked over at Angelus. She knew now why Spike hated the un-souled version. He was arrogant, egotistically and seriously insane.
To think he honestly believed she would `come around' and actually `want' him. She snorted back a small laugh as she looked at him. Never in all her time on earth had she ever meet anyone so hung up on himself. No wonder Spike called him so many nasty names. She completely got it now.
"You ready for something to eat?" Angelus asked as he turned and walked back over to Ravyn.
Ravyn stood quickly as he approached her. "No...but I would like some clothes." she said hatefully.
Angelus smiled as he stopped in front of her. He gave her a long look from head to toe and his smile increased. "I don't know...I kind of like this outfit." he told he, reaching his hand out and laying it on her hip.
Ravyn pulled away from him and glared at him hard. "Don't touch me." she ground out through clenched teeth.
Angelus chuckled softly as he looked at her. "You are going to be so much fun. I can already see that." he said as he removed his hand from her. "So, tell me....do you always scream during sex, or was that just for my benefit?"
Ravyn growled softly, unable to control it as he stood there smiling at her. "Let me go."
"Don't think so sweetheart." he said as he turned and walked over to the chair and sat. "I think I'll keep you."
Ravyn laughed at that. She looked at him and leaned her head over to the side. "You can't keep me here forever, and besides...it's only a matter of time before Spike finds me."
Angelus laughed hard as he looked at her. "Spike?" he asked through his laughter. "You put way to much faith in him. He`s never been able to defeat me, not that he's ever really tried. I guess he knew better." he said as his laughter slowly calmed. "Do you think he`s willing to die, just for you?"
Ravyn stared at him for the longest time. *Would he* she asked herself. She would give up her life in a minute for Spike....but would he be willing to do the same for her?
"You think you know him, but you don't. I could tell you things about him that would make you sick at the mention of his name."
"What are you talking about?"
Angelus crossed his leg and sat back. "There are so many things you don't know about your precious vampire. Do you think he was always the way he is now? Do you even know how he got the name Spike? Of course you don`t....I left that little bit out of our walk down William lane."
Ravyn stared at him as he continued to chuckle at her. She had no idea what he was talking about and wasn't sure she wanted to know.
"You know, I am curious though.....what is it about him that has you so mesmerized? Is it his good looks, his power of seduction? Tell me...I'm dying to know." Angelus asked grinning as he looked at her. "I've never been able to figure out what it is about that boy. He and Drucilla fawned over each other for a hundred years. Made me sick every time I saw them. So please, enlighten me. What is it about him that gets you...so hot?"
Ravyn stared at him. Just the way he was smiling at her made her hate him. Rolling her eyes she sat back down on the floor, covering herself best she could. She laid her head against her knees and prayed to whoever was listening that Spike would be there soon.

Blake and Jesse sat in the Kitchen, looking out into the lounge, grinning as Dawn and Dylan sat there making eyes at one another. They had decided to give them a little space, as the guys were always present when Dylan was around. They didn't like him any better than Spike did. He seemed okay....but he was still a vampire.
"Have either of you seen Angel?" Rob asked as he walked into the Kitchen.
"No" Blake responded, as Jesse shook his head no.
"Huh." Rob said, looking confused. "He's not in his room and the sun hasn't been down long enough for him to have gone out already."
"He's probably around here somewhere." Jesse said, his mouth full when he did.
Rob turned and walked back out of the Kitchen and walked into the lounge. "Dawn, did you see Angel leave?"
Dawn looked up smiling. "No....want me to go check on him?"
"No, that's no necessary. He's not in his room. I've checked already."
"Oh." Dawn said surprised. "I've been here all day; I didn't see him leave."
Blake walked into the lounge with a growing look of concern on his face to match Rob's. "I'll go see if his car is here."
Everyone in the room jumped when the front door flew open and Spike stormed in. They all watched him head straight for the hall to Angel's room. They looked at one another and Dawn jumped when she heard Angel's door slam against the wall.
"What the hell is up with him?" Jesse asked quietly as they all stared in the direction of the hall.
Spike walked back into he lobby and went to Angel's office, slamming that door as well, before looking in and walking back through the lounge.
"Spike?" Dawn asked, concerned by the look on his face. "Spike...what's wrong?" she added when he didn't even look her way.
The gang stood frozen in their places as he walked through. He looked `funny'. It was if he wasn't even aware that they were there.
Dawn looked around and noticed he was alone. "Spike...where's Ravyn?" she asked him, more concerned now.
Everyone went wide-eyed as they too realized Ravyn wasn't with him. They watched Spike walk to the weapon's cabinet and rip the door off as he opened it. Dawn instantly went into a panic.
"Spike...where's Ravyn" she asked him again, loudly. She walked over to where he was and she felt her heart beating in her chest as she looked at him. His jaw was clenching and un-clenching as he rifled through the weapons. His eyes were an eerie yellowish orange. She had never seen them that color before, and his human mask was slipping away every few minutes, revealing his demon before it returned.
Rob walked over to where Dawn was standing. He looked at her questionably as he also saw Spike vamping out. From the way it looked, he was sure Spike wasn't even aware he was doing it.
"Spike...damnit, what's wrong?" Dawn asked, beyond scared now. She took a step back when she heard him growl, but he never left his task. He was shoving everything he could fit into his duster pockets and she was extremely nervous when he picked up the crossbow and loaded it.
Blake came forward and walked over to Spike. "Hey man....what's going on?" he asked, reaching up and grabbing Spike's arm, trying to take the crossbow.
Spike swung, punching Blake hard when he grabbed the crossbow. Everyone looked at him as he stood there, vamped out and growling.
"We need to find Angel." Rob said quietly to Dawn before he slowly backed up.
Dawn took a step closer to him, hopeing she wouldn't get the same treatment as Blake had. Gently laying her hand on his arm, she looked at him and tried to remain calm. "Spike, please tell me what's wrong."
Spike finally looked over at her when she squeezed his arm. "Bastard took her!" he said angrily as he turned his head and went back to the weapons.
Dawn's eyes went wider than they already were. "Who...Ravyn?" she asked him, frightened for her friend. "Trull? How did he find you?"
"Not Trull!"
The gang slowly walked closer to where Spike and Dawn were. "Who took her Spike?" Rob asked.
"Angelus!"
"Angel took her?" Blake asked, surprised. "Why would Angel......."
"NO....Angelus took her!"
"Angelus" Rob whispered softly.
Dawn took a step back from him as he grabbed the crossbow and extra bolts and turned. "Spike where are you going?"
"To kill him" he said flatly as he walked back through the lobby towards the door.
"What?" Rob said loudly as they all followed Spike through the lobby.
"Spike, think about this man. Don't go doing something stupid." Blake said, as he hurried to catch up with him.
"Well, I did think about." Spike said as he reached the door. "And..... I'm gonna kill him."
Blake grabbed Spike's arm, trying to stop him only to get knocked down for his effort. Jesse knew better than to mess with Spike when he was angry and stayed far away.
"Spike....you can't kill him. I found the spell." Rob said, trying to get him to listen.
Spike stopped and turned around to face them all. "Don't need a spell mate."
"Spike, you can't kill him!" Blake yelled as he stood back up.
Spike laughed as he looked at him before his eyes took on a hard look. He vamped out and growled softly as he looked at Blake. "Yeah.....Stop me!" he said through clenched teeth, as he turned and walked out the door.

Ravyn sat huddled on the floor staring across the room. Angelus had left after she refused to talk to him and now, she sat in the dark, alone.
She had tried for what seemed like hours to pull her chains free, but was unable to budge them. She wasn't able to move very far from the wall and the place was bare. There were no windows in the room she was in, but there were in the main room.
There were no sounds other than the scurrying of mice in the building. No sounds from outside were heard either. She had no idea where she was or if they were even still in LA. She wondered how Spike would find her. She knew he would....the question was...when?
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Angelus was looking for something fresh to eat. He had a bounce in his step as he crossed the street. He had toyed with Ravyn until she had eventually turned her back to him and stopped talking.
He wasn't sure what was more fun, teasing her about Spike or his blatant sexual comments to her. She hated both, but he loved to see her squirm.
"Hey" a black haired man said as he stopped in front of Angelus.
"Move" Angelus said, as he stopped.
"My Master wants to see you."
"Really? I'm busy. Maybe some other time." he said as he stepped around him and continued on his way.
"Master Trull has requested your presence. It wouldn't be wise to disobey him."
Angelus stopped and turned back around. "Trull?"
"Yes"
Angelus smiled big as he looked at the guy. "And why would Nicolas Trull want to see me?"
"Well, he's the one who cast out your soul."
Angelus smiled bigger as he looked at the guy. "Well, in that case....lead the way."
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
The gang all stood in the doorway of the hotel, stunned looks on all their faces. They watched as Spike got on his motorcycle and tore off down the street.
"What are we going to do?" Dawn asked worriedly.
"Go after him." Blake said as he turned and hurried through the lobby towards the weapons cabinet.
"What are you doing?" Dawn asked as she watched him.
"Gonna find him and stop him."
"I'm not so sure that's a good idea." Rob told him. "Did you even see him?"
"Yeah, that's why we need to stop him. We can't let him kill Angel."
Rob shook his head as he moved closer to Blake. "No...we can't, but you go after Spike like that, you'll only get yourself hurt or worse."
"Spike wouldn't hurt one of us."
"No...but his demon might. He was vamping out. I'm not even entirely sure he's in the proper state of mind to deal with any of us right now."
"So what?" Blake asked as he turned to face him. "We just sit here and wait?"
Rob sighed and looked over at Dawn. She was almost in tears as she looked at him. Dylan was off to the side, staying clear of the rest of the gang and there was something about him tonight that had Rob thinking more about the `trust' issue Spike had mentioned.
"Dylan......what would cause a vampire to loose control of their demon like that?" Rob asked him, hopeing to at least get some insight into the situation.
Dylan looked up at him and took a step forward. "Well, the demon can be controlled, but from what I just saw...Spike's lost the ability to control his. The demon is powerful, especially when it has been wronged." he told them truthfully. "Pure rage is hard to control in the demon, especially when someone has over stepped their bounds. If someone took Spike's mate....then the demon won't rest until it's been satisfied."
"You mean until Angelus is dead?"
"Yes"
The gang all stood looking at one another before Rob went to the weapons cabinet and opened the bottom drawer. He removed a small gun and darts before turning. "Well, lets just hope we can find Spike before he finds Angel." he said as he loaded the tranquilizer gun. "If Angel did take Ravyn......"
"It wasn't Angel, it was Angelus....their two different people all together." Dawn told them as she wiped at a stray tear. "Spike was already upset with Angel and you know as well as I do that he would never act on it. But Angelus..." she said with a sad chuckle. "He'll kill him without thinking twice about it, especially if he hurts Ravyn."
"Well, it's up to us to see that he doesn't." Rob said as he walked to the door. "Let's go guys."
"I'm coming with you." Dawn said as she followed the guys to the door.
Rob turned and was about to tell her no when he saw Dylan. No way was he leaving her alone with him. "Sure....come on." he said with a smile.

Angelus strolled into the large manor he had been led to and looked around as he was led down a long hall. He stopped at a large door and straightened his shoulders as the door was opened and he was ushered in.
"Ah...Angelus, how nice of you to join us." Trull said as he came around the corner of his desk.
Angelus looked at him and smiled slightly before looking around the room. "Didn't have anything to do at the moment." he said as he slowly started walking around the room. "Nice place you have here."
Trull smiled big as he watched him. "Yes, it will do. Please have a seat."
Angelus turned his head and smiled at Trull. "Rather stand." he said as he continued to look at the things in Trull's office. "So...what can I do for you?"
Trull walked back over to his desk and sat as he looked at Angelus. "Well, I have a little proposition for you."
"Yeah, what kind?"
"Well, have you ever heard of The Star of Remeur?"
Angelus turned his head and looked over at Trull. "What vampire hasn't?"
"Well, what if I told you I had it."
"I'd say you were lying." Angelus said smiling. "You need the Blood Stone."
Trull looked a little shocked then relaxed. "I see my little bird has learned to speak again."
"Yeah, that she has." he said as he walked over to the desk and looked at the contents on top of it.
Trull watched him, beginning to become uncomfortable with the way he was acting. "I want her back. You bring her to me and I'll see that you are rewarded."
Angelus laughed as he rifled through the things on Trull's desk before turning and continuing his look around the office. "That's okay. I'm not much on the reward system."
Trull watched him and stood. "You do know where she is...don't you?"
Angelus turned and smiled. "She's right where I left her."
Trull's eyes lit up and he smiled. "You have her?"
"What's this all about?" Angelus asked him.
"This is about getting back what belongs to me." Trull told him. "And, I want her vampire killed. You do that for me and I'll make it worth your while."
Angelus leaned his head to the side as he looked at Trull. "Well, Spike I can kill, no problem there....but Ravyn, now that one I can't help you with."
"And why's that?" Trull asked him getting aggravated.
Angelus smiled. "Because she's mine."

Spike had searched everywhere for Ravyn and Angelus. The longer he drove the angrier he became. He had looked in every seedy hole he could find looking for them. He was now in the warehouse district and was still having no luck.
There were no lights anywhere and no sign of life. He was beginning to think that maybe Angelus had left the city with her. He stopped the bike and looked down the street, listening hard for anything. He turned, looking back behind him and saw nothing. Sighing heavily, he revved up the bike and took off down the street.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~**~*~*~*~
Ravyn looked up when she heard something. Standing quickly she moved as far as she could from the wall and waited. As the sound got closer she smiled when she recognized the distinct roar of a motorcycle.
"Spike!" she yelled loudly as the sound got closer. She screamed with everything she had in her as it got closer, pulling at the chains as she did. Her excited screams slowly died as she heard the sound of the bike fading away. "Spike" she whispered as she looked into he main room.
Ravyn stood listening as the bike slowly faded into the distance. She was still holding the chains in her hands, staring into the other room, darkness completely surrounding her. She looked down when she felt something hit her hand and realized it was her own silent tears. She turned and walked slowly back to the wall, sliding down it to the floor. She sat, staring off into the black nothingness of the room. She lay her head on her knees, closing her eyes as she wrapped her arms around her legs. "Come back" she whispered quietly, never lifting her head.
