Cookies, Anyone?
Peanut Butter Cookies (approximately 3 dozen cookies) – Preheat oven to 350º
Ingredients:
½ cup granulated sugar
½ cup packed brown sugar
½ cup peanut butter
¼ cup margarine or butter
1 egg
¼ cup all-purpose flour
¾ tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
2 tbsp. milk
- Blend sugars together thoroughly in a medium bowl.
- Mix together shortening and peanut butter in a large bowl.
- Add sugar mixture to butter mixture. Blend thoroughly.
- Add egg. Mix in completely.
- Mix together dry ingredients completely in a small bowl.
- Sift dry ingredients into butter/sugar mixture.
- Stir until there is no sign of dry ingredients.
- Add milk.
- By kitchen teaspoons, put batter onto a greased baking cookie sheet.
- Bake 10-15 minutes.
- Remove from oven. Cool 2 minutes on sheet.
- Put cookies in an airtight container.
TIP: For variety, add ½ cup chocolate chips or ½ cups M&Ms or ¼ cup chocolate chips and ¼ cup raisins.
