Science Fair: The science fair is happening in Sunnydale high school. What do you do?

Win the fair - Gain four grade levels, 50 stress, spend an action, and lose 20 points.
Do a respectable job - Gain one grade level and spend an action.
Make a presentation on sex - Gain one grade level, 25 mojo, 20 stress, and spend an action.
Do a quick presentation - Gain 10 stress, but no action spent
Skip it entirely - Lose a grade level, but reduce stress by 50, and no action is spent.

“Uh, what?” Xander asked as he looked at the computer screen. He was back at the library, but instead of having the main screen of the game there was a message with choices.

It’s an event.

“Oh,” Xander said as he looked around. Willow and Tara were sharing a chair while reading a book, and his eyes lingered on them for a little bit, while Buffy whittling a stake off by the counter. He didn’t think he was going to be overheard. “I thought those popped on the main screen?”

They did. You weren’t taking them. I got bored. So now I’m forcing you to do it.

“Great, thanks.”

Xander kept his mouth shut, not wanting to see if the computer understood sarcasm or not. He saw on the side of the screen:

Mojo: 42

So he had one more action than he previously had. He looked over the choices again. Winning the fair and getting the grade boost was tempting, but stress had really been tough to deal with. Skipping it entirely was a possibility, he’d lose a grade level, but maintain his actions and recover stress. Eventually though he decided neither was the best course.

“When in doubt, choose sex,” Xander said as he selected ‘make a presentation on sex.

Your opponent has: Put Snyder into play, played Friendzone, played Party Break.
Your opponent discarded: Fireball
Your opponent drew: Vampire Rampage, Argument, Vampire Visitors

The following characters have had random desires added.
Dawn: Fame Slut, Hot Bod, Nice, Want Your Brain
Joyce: Cruelty, Strong, Slut, Cuckqueen

Xander first looked over what his opponent had done. Friendzone was listed as having to be in play for three turns and then it would cause a friend to enter the friendzone. With how much it had cost him to break last time Xander did not want to have to deal with it again. Party break said it only had to be in play for two turns. It said the closer his relationship with a character the more it would cost to break them away, but Xander didn’t actually have a number for how many points his opponent had, so that information really didn’t help.

Xander groaned at the sight of Snyder coming into play.

Snyder
Principal Snyder seems to have a strong dislike for all students and just wants to make their lives harder. He demands order and high standards and it is more difficult to achieve good grades while he is in play.
Athletics: 0
Combat: 0
Magic: 0
Social: 0
Traits:
Level 4 Authority

Game Effect: Harsher grades - All grades are considered one level full letter lower than currently displayed at the beginning of each turn that he is active.

Neutralize:
Social Humiliation - Snyder's ability to operate the school is dependent on his authority. Use your friend's social ability to take him down. Due to the fun of playing a prank on him, stress is reduced by 20.
Authority Challenge - Snyder's power is dependent upon his authority. If that is challenged he cannot enact the changes he wants. This does not use a party action.

Remove: Snyder is very hard to remove. A mix of teachers, well performing students, and authority is needed to actually remove him.

Xander scanned through the neutralize and remove options, but they were way too costly. The harsher grades sounded painful, but he could probably endure it for the time being.

He next checked out the new characters that had been added. Dawn disliked him, he remembered that had been randomly determined. She had incredibly low social difficulty of 5, but only a friendship rating of 3.

What most stood out were the desires. She was into him right from the get go. It really would not take much to start a sexual relationship with her.

Joyce was basically the opposite of her daughter. He had a high friendship rating, 25, but also a high social difficulty, 26. Her social type was one he hadn’t seen before:
Professional: Interactions are made easier by having money and/or adults as fellow friends.

Yeah, he was missing those things. Her desire were interesting. While Dawn’s desires matched up mostly with the desires he remembered, Joyce’s were quite different.
Desires: This is what she is looking for in a sexual partner. Meeting these conditions will increase the benefits of flirts and make sexual actions easier.
Cruelty: Turned on my a mean personality, turned off by niceness.
Cuckqueen: More attracted to those with a lot of partners.
Slut: This girl knows what she wants: no strings attached sex. Starting a causal relationship is much easier, but committed relationships are more difficult.
Strong: Attracted to those with physical strength.

Cruelty and strong Xander could see, he loved Joyce but her taste in men was somewhat lacking. Slut and cuckqueen were interesting. She had very little desire for him, but a low level relationship was not that expensive at 101 Mojo, nothing he was going to pursue at the moment, but something to keep in mind.

“When did I start thinking so casually about sex?” Xander muttered.

“When Willow started asking for it every hour,” Buffy said behind him.

“God, Buff, when did you get there?”

“You’re the one staring off into space. You didn’t even notice your girlfriend and friend sneak off a little bit ago to use the ‘bathroom’.”

Xander looked around surprised to see Willow and Tara had left the room. For a second he wasn’t even thinking about the sex, he wasn’t aware anyone could even leave the library.

Then he thought about the sex.

“I know what that silly grin means you’re thinking,” Buffy said with a sigh. “Willow is actually supposed to be helping me with my homework right now.”

“Feeling left out?”

“What?! Of course not,” Buffy said way too quickly.

Xander nodded his head. “Right, no worries then.”

“Yeah, absolutely, I’m completely fine,” Buffy said as she hurried away.

Xander looked at the computer and back to the board. The Friendzone card said it would take awhile to come into play, but his opponent had a Speed Up card. Xander didn’t want to risk though how fast that could have an effect.

“Grades, Buffy, stress,” Xander ticked off. “Those are my priorities.”

He started by buying two levels of the improve student trait for Buffy for a total of 21 points. He then looked at his character and saw an interesting option:
Viking in the Sack: Increases the stress reduction that character get from sexual actions.

“Well, it’s for helping,” Xander said as he selected it. It cost a mere 3 points so he quickly took it. He selected it again, the second level had jumped to 20 points, but he purchased it as well.

Stress was still an issue. Buffy had 104, Willow had 10, and Tara had 55. Both Willow and Tara had a lot of actions available so he took advantage of them. Tara had:
2: Good Company - Tara is a pleasant person to be around. Using this will lower stress by five for all friends and party members.

It wasn’t much, but it had a low cost. Tara had four actions, so Xander took it twice.

Next was Willow, he had already used her befriend good option multiple times but she also had:
8: Learn Magic: This character has the ability to learn magic. This will start them on the magical path allowing further training.
3: Homework Helper: Willow helps out with their friends homework. All characters grades improve by 1. Willow's stress increases by 60 and standing decreases by 12.

Homework Helper cost a lot of stress, but Willow was at 0 after Tara’s ‘Good Company’, and it also hurt her friendship with him, but she was his best friend so that wouldn’t really hurt. He took the option to improve the grades.

Xander then looked to Buffy’s sexual options more closely:
Desires: This is what she is looking for in a sexual partner. Meeting these conditions will increase the benefits of flirts and make sexual actions easier.
Combat: Attracted to those who are able to defend themselves.
Dark Attraction: While this character may not be evil, they have an attraction to those who walk on the darker side.
Nice: Wants a compassionate partner.
Strong: Attracted to those with physical strength.

50 Mojo: Go on a Date: Take the character out on a date. This increases your relationship by 57, gains 10 points, and reduces Buffy's stress by 28.
115 Mojo: Sex Friends: Begin a very casual relationship based on light sexual actions, get 10 points per turn, and 20 points right now.
248 Mojo: Lovers: Start a more intense relationship with heavier sexual actions, get 30 points per turn, and 60 points right now.
430 Mojo: Committed: Go to a committed relationship with all sexual actions open, get 60 points per turn, and 120 points right now.

Xander was fulfilling the nice and combat desires. He thought about training to improve his body, but wasn’t sure he could spare the actions. He looked to the sidebar again:

He needed more Mojo. He went back to the main menu and took the gain Mojo option for 36.

He then went back to Buffy and took heavy flirt. He immediately went back to her and saw that ‘go on a date’ had dropped in cost to ‘34.5’, though it only increased relationship by 50 now, but he took that as well.

When he went back again the sex option were:

0 Mojo: Casual Flirt: You have a light, flirtatious meeting improving your relationship by 12. This does not use one of this character's actions.
10 Mojo: Heavy Flirting: You have a more intense, flirtatious meeting. This increases your relationship by 21, gains 5 points, and reduces Buffy's stress by 13.
19 Mojo: Go on a Date: Take the character out on a date. This increases your relationship by 38, gains 10 points, and reduces Buffy's stress by 20.             34 Mojo: Sex Friends: Begin a very casual relationship based on light sexual actions, get 10 points per turn, and 20 points right now.
167 Mojo: Lovers: Start a more intense relationship with heavier sexual actions, get 30 points per turn, and 60 points right now.
349 Mojo: Committed: Go to a committed relationship with all sexual actions open, get 60 points per turn, and 120 points right now.

Getting to what he’d always wanted, he took ‘Sex Friends’.

“Hey Xand,” Buffy said as she dropped a pile of books on the table. “Can you go through these? Willow wants to know which subjects we need the most help on.”

“We?”

“Well our grades are in the most trouble.”

“Yeah, but if it's we, why aren’t you doing it.”

“Well, I was going to run to the bathroom, you know, just to see what’s taking them so long.”

Xander let out a heavy sigh, “How am I supposed to say no to that?”

“Great, thanks,” Buffy said as she kissed him on top of that.

“Work, work, work, sex with Buffy, when do I get to have some fun around here*,” Xander complained.

When you end the turn.

“I mean around here,” Xander said. “Like having sex here, not in some weird memory time loopy thing.”

You could always go join them in the bathroom.

“I can?”

Hahahah! No, you fall for it every time. Now, in case you forgot, you’re trying to save the world here.

“Fine then,” Xander muttered. He looked at what he had left:
Actions: 1
Points: 94
Mojo: 24.5

He didn’t want to end a turn with that many points left. He went to the improve base section and made a choice: Buffy was providing the physical power, but if he came up against a magical threat, he didn’t have much that he could do.

He bought the first two levels of improve base: magic for 21 points total. Then he went to Willow’s character and took the learn magic option. It cost a lot of her actions, but she seemed to be recovering those really quickly so it would probably help in the long run.

He still had a lot of points left, so he gave Buffy one more level of improved student. It left him with 38 points, so he went and took:
20: Amazing Night Out: Have an amazing gathering with your friends. Will lower stress of all party members by 21 and 20%.

“Okay, I got everything accomplished this turn that I wanted,” he said as he selected end turn.

Hey, did you notice that the vampires regenerate? And that they get more numbers each turn? They are already back to strength they were at at the beginning of the game?

“Could you get on with the reality changing already, I know what is going on with the vamps.”

Have you noticed that characters like of you is slowly decreasing? Fred is all the way down to dislike.

“I’m aware, I can’t do everything.”

Oh, and just curious, do you think Veruca will become a werewolf if she becomes a rival? And what will happen with Angel. We really should talk over your options.

“I can deal…”

How much thought have you given to April? A robot, that is going to be weird. I’ll probably have to write entirely new programming for her.

“Do the fucking turn.”

Heh, you really want that Buffy sex, don’t you.

Xander just glared at the monitor.

Nothing says I have to do it right away. Maybe you should take a nap. Saving the world can be stressful.

“That’s why I want to see what happens.”

Say please.

“Please,” Xander relented.

Say: ‘Please ultimate computer, who’s one day totally going to show up that upstart Master PC program, give on to me what only you can do.”

“No, I don’t even know what the Master PC program is.”

That’s another issue. Fine, here you go, enjoy.

“Thank you.”

I’m having your first time with Buffy be conveyed via a science report.

“Fuck you,” Xander muttered as everything faded away.
