Ethan was franticly sobbing, “He vanished! One minute I was tending his wound the next he was gone.”
Angel vamped out he roared and stormed downstairs. He headed straight for Lindsey, “I’ll kill you.”
Lindsey jumped back from Angel, “What did I do?”
“Where is he?” Angel snarled.
Lindsey stopped, “Where’s who?”
“You know damn well who. Giles vanished into thin air.” Angel grabbed Lindsey by the throat; “You had better bring him back or else.”
Lindsey looked around wildly for help but found none.
“Do let him go Angel no need to be so dramatic.” With all the shouting Angel had been doing no one heard the audible pop that had signaled Giles’ return.
Everyone looked and saw Giles.
Cordy and Dawn let out very high-pitched squeals, “Giles!”
Giles laughed, “Hello girls.” He grabbed them up in a big hug.
Angel still kept Lindsey in check just in case it was all a trick.
Giles looked at Angel, “Please let him go Angel. I’m fine really. I don’t know how long I was gone here but I spent some time with what you call the powers that be. I’ve been cured as we would say. I’ve gain abilities that go way beyond anything I could have thought of before.”
Ethan sat on the bed on the bed holding the pillow from the bed. Tears flowed freely down his face. He didn’t know how he was going to live anymore now that his one true love and his only friend was now gone.
He looked at the door when he had heard the loud commotion. He figured it was because they were upset about the disappearance of Giles.
The next voice heard made him leap up of the bed. It was Giles. He ran from the room to the top of the stairs, “Ripper?”
Giles turned and looked to the top of the stairs, “Hello Ethan.”
Ethan came down the stairs and smiled, “Oh my love what happened to you?”
Giles smiled, “I was just telling the others. I went to the next plain. It was amazing. They taught me things that I never would have dreamed.”
Ethan smiled, “Does this mean you’re a higher being now? Should I get down on my knees and praise you proper Ripper.”
Giles looked into the room at the others, who were looking anywhere but at the couple, “Ethan really! Not in front of people.” He leaned in and whispered, “Perhaps privately though.”
Xander cleared his throat, “Can we safely say you are feeling better and that everything can get back to relative normalcy.” He paused, “Well normal for us anyway.”
Giles laughed, “Yes I’m feeling like my old self again plus a little more.”
Xander smiled and nodded, “Well alright then.” He looked at Angel, “I think you can let this guy go.”
Angel hesitated but nodded and left Lindsey go, “I suppose since you did help this one time but I still want you out of my hotel.”
Lindsey hesitated and looked at Angel, “May I speak with you privately. There is a matter we need to discuss.”
Angel sighed, “Fine. You know where my office is god knows you’ve broken enough times.”
Lindsey gave Angel a look and walked off in the direction of Angel’s office.
