Can't say how I feel. This 'one shot' left me confused, as confused as are Buffy's feelings.
She punchs him, she kisses him. She kicks him, she clungs to him like a lover.
Her contradictory behavior is okay, but maybe it was too much a change in only three chapters.
Then, I think Spike is too much pathetic and vulnerable here. I like to think he would wear a mask and act cool with his departure.
Well, the fact is this is your first story in canon and Buffy behaviour is really difficult to write! So I think I'll forgive you :) :)
Let's see how it goes in the sequel.

I just love it when joyce and spike interact . it is sad how they see Spike in such a different light. However, in Buffys defense he has tried to kill her in the past and she has a lot of Angel/ Angelus issues. gosh, i hated that plot twist by the way.
