The PTB want a notoriously horny demon (Spike) to rescue and reform a newly made demon who titillates males for a living (Buffy)? Interesting premise. You have to give us more soon.

Your portrait of conflicted, soulless Spike wanting to both rescue and corrupt "Beth" is already a lot of fun. Their scenes together, real and imagined, have been vividly detailed and rife with tension. I'm looking forward to more back story for Buffy's new status - who is she working for and how did that employment come about? Whistler was a good plot device, though he posed more questions than he answered. I'm looking forward to more of this.
