Hi there,
Just finished reading your story and I wanted to tell you that I enjoyed it very much.
I always enjoy reading a story that shows that inside the hard edge that Buffy usually shows, that there's a woman inside, just wanting to be loved.
And Spike, always there, always in her corner. It's what made him such a wonderful, enduring character that so many of us have been inspired by. I wrote my first story in October 2002. Now I'm on about my 5th or 6th (still working on a sequel to one).
I think that you could probably put this on fanfic.net. Just use some ** instead of letters when writing about sex and rate it R. It's really not that terribly NC/17. I mean, sure there's sex, but it's tasteful. No pun intended.

Excellent story! Love the way you're writing the tension and unresolved feelings between Spike and Buffy. I think that if Buffy didn't have some sort of feelings for Spike she wouldn't care if she was using him. I think she was not only trying to make things right and protect herself; but also trying to protect him from herself. I like the way you've written Spike's feelings about her and that he is looking out for her and Dawn. Look forward to your next chapters.
