I really like this. I like how you have Xan and Spike have a real (personal) talk. Most stories just have them coming on to each other for no reason at all. But this is nice, seeing how a real relationship could grow between them. Good story.

Oh, make it the beginning, please. This sounds very promising and I'd love to read more. It's all too rare to find credible Spike/Xander interaction but you have it down to a fine art.
