I'm glad you're continuing with this. I think the exposition was ok- I'm wondering if the ring is going to be a big temptation for Spike, what with his demon side and all. You're descriptions are really good.

Cross overs are my LEAST favorite form of Spuffy fanfic....until now.

The few Buffy/LOTR crossovers I've seen have been pretty bad, but this one might have some potential, since you seem to be a descent writer. I like the Buffy/Spike stuff, and the black rider description/ fight was good. The Sarah Maclachlan song is called "Full of Grace". Also, the name is 'Pippin' with an I, not an E.
