I love thi series more than i can say. I can not wait to read the next one. These have got to be my favourite stories on here. keep writing them. I thought it was so cool how Angel gave himself in Angelus's place so Angelus could protect Buffy. This rocks!!!

Ch. 7 Wow, that was one fine story. I hope Giles does tell Buffy what happened someday. As for the torture, it's much less than what she suffered in Hylek and Angelus was going to release her. Hopefully, she'll remember that, too. However, even if you never continue this series, I'm content with the stories you've got here. As far as I'm concerned the saga is complete.

Ch. 6 So Spanky is peeved at being staked? Yeah, guess he would be. But you know what? I'm not! Eat stake and die, Spanky, die! I hope Angelus and Angel both kick his sorry pale ass. Yea-aaah! :D

Ch. 4 You know, I find your explanation and theory of what lay between Buffy and Spike a darned sight more palatable than what Jerk Whedon and all those deluded Spuffies gave us. There isn't any silly talk of love here from either Spanky or Buffy. It's just need and longing for Angel. You make the sex between Angel(us) and Spike acceptable as . I. I'm sorry that the soul is gone for good, though. (That three times the charm rule seems a little weak compared to the solid mythology you've been using.) I loved the soul in Angelus as much as I loved the Angelus in the soul; when Jerk Whedon allowed Angel to display that demonic temper, at least he got that much right.

Ch. 3 That's exactly how I remember the description of the Erinyes in my Greek mythology class. They did look like those drenched, wet hens they gave us on Charmed or the 80s girl band rejects we saw on Xena Warrior Princess. Bat-winged, dog-faced Furies who tormented poor Orestes after he murdered his mother Clytemnestra, they were banished by Apollo to the Underworld to sleep and live out their existence as the stings of remorse, guilt and shame that plague mankind. The names are right, too. Good for you.

I'm deeply worried about the price that has to be paid, though, especially by Angelus. Somehow it seems as if he's going to have a harder time dealing with that than the other two. ve tve to admit I'm a little pissed that Buffy would throw away their chance at human happiness away so easily after having it only one day. They have other warriors to help them or tcoulcould find them. There was no need to dismiss it without even consulting anybody. The image of Buffy giving chocolates was rather funny, though. Was it Godiva or Lindt or some other brand? :D

I love this series, particularly the strong mythological ties and pieces of real history you weave into the story. The idea of the chess board is great and I can't wait for you to continue.

Ch. 1 Man, I've always hated Whistler but I guess this was the only way to get through to Angel. I'm surprised Buffy didn't find him first. I guess that bond isn't as strong as she thought it w.
