Sorry, Serene, I haven't to to your site recently. PJ JP is just a coinky-dink. I don't want to be taken off your list or I would have requested that. I just said I like being on your list for story updates, not to hear you complain about someone who gives you a bad review. It's one bad review, like I said, among many good ones. I'm sure it's not the first and won't be the last. Not everyone likes everything. And they can say so. That's why the button says 'review' and not 'only nice comments.' Again, I dt hat happen to be displeased with the story, though I'm many chappies behind. Just don't want pleas for sympathy in my e-mail. And whether you meant it or not, it's kind of how it came off. Otherwise, why even mention it? Why bring attention to it?

Wow, what an uppity little biotch! It makes me laugh about "it" saying that having more chapters than reviews should tell you something... maybe if "it" was smart enough to realize that you often post 2 or more chapters at a time, therefore, people generally comment after the last chapter that is read, "it" would understand why. Apparenlty mathmatics isn't one if "it's" stronger skills. Keep up the great work honey! This is an awesome story, I check almost everday to see if it's been updated. People hate when good things end.. so I'm so glad this story is going on and on and on... I'd miss it if you ended it! Apparently "it" has never heard of VEL.VEL... you know.. that thing that generally consists of more than a few chapters... My only advice to the biotch is, if you aren't smart enough to read the big books, I'd try to kiddie section at the library. See spot run is a fabulous book that I think "it" could grasp without feeling overwhelmed...

I don't normally review on AFF, but since I saw your post at the end of the latest update, I decided to review. I love this story!!! Whomever that idiot is, doesn't realize a wonderful story when they see it. I stayed up all night to finish reading this once I found it. The Buffy/Spike relationship is very good. Very true to life with their insecurities and such. Sorry, I kinda suck at reviews. Although I am wondering when/if William will ever get all of Spike's memories back. Keep up the great work on the story. I can't wait for another update.

And yet, JP, there was a PJ who sent me an email from my website last night saying this:

Request_Comments - My, you're quite the Peggy Hill on all levels, aren't you? Do you write 'musings' too?
Why exactly would someone give you money? You're not an author, you write mediocre fanfic. This is really no better than begging. You're basically asking people to pay for you to go to cons, because you could save that money to live on. I know how expensive cons are, so if you can afford those, you don't need handouts or donations. Really insulting.

Loved that one, too. Figured it was the same person who posted the comment on this board. Same sort of 'snark' which is disguised as being clever.

The money she thinks I'm 'begging for' is referring to a little donation button I have on my site, like thousands of other sites have.

Oh well, I would hope the person(s) who are so displeased with this story or with me, would please just ask to be taken off the update list if you're no longer enjoying the story, or haven't something constructive to say.

I don't like the idea of sending out letters to people who are just waiting for the chance to find someway to be nasty. I know it's a sport with some people, but honestly, it's like television, if you don't like it, just don't read it.

    Easy, right?

Thanks to everyone who has shown support. You guys are great!

Ok, I'm sorry, but I get your updates for your story, not to be drawn into some in-fighting with someone who *gasp* gave you a negative review. Sure, they're a bit rude, but they have the right to their opinion. No need to blow it into a big thing and email your friends to come defend you(and yes, that's what I saw your email as). It's one negative review among several positive. Does it have to be a big issue? Real writers can take criticism, positive and negative. So please, keep the updates on the story coming, but I don't think things like this need to be announced. You're just giving this person more attention than they deserve. But hey, look how your positive reviews increased!

So when I saw this fic I was a bit daunted at the number of chapters listed. I decided I liked the first fic so I started this one. It's been all down hill from there. Because of you I havn't slept in days cause I can't wait to find out what happens next. The writing has such feeling, such depth. The character of William is true to form and the imergence of Spike is hard to do but I can 'see' Spike in William with a word or action that you write. This fic has been a highlight of my days and nights and don't let the asanine opions of a few people who have no better purpose than to degrade people. I favorite all my stories and yours is in folder marked 'Love to Read'. Please continue to update as the story is far from over. Another hundred chapters wouldn't go wrong. Still have another year until we find out what Willlrealready knows of the Shanshu.

You are doing a stupendous job. Don't let the words of a jealous few pull you down.

PS Please exuse the spelling, when I write I have spell check and a beta, reviews are just from the heart and the heart can't spell.

I've been reading fanfiction now for a little over a year, but this is my first review. However, after reading your latest chapter and author notes I just had to add in my own two cents.
I like this story. It is well thought out, original, entertaining, and your writing is consistently strong.
I did think that it dragged a bit for a while, but now you have my full attention again and I'm really excited by where you are taking it.
The thing that is most impressive about your story is your dedication to it. You kept up with this story (and its prequel) for well over a year now. Looking through this site alone, how many authors have started stories, that they never finished? Some never even got past the first chapter!!!
Funny I didn't see anyone attacking them about wasting bandwidth.
I believe your nasty reviewas was just looking for attention. Why else would they feel the need to repost their review when you didn't respond to them the first time?

    Hy you ;),

don't get too angry. There are always some w**kers that don't have enough b*lls to reveal who they are when it comes to criticism, or false criticism (sry for the language, but 1. German here, 2. pissed! ;D ). I love that story, I loved it when I first started it and I'm still loving it after reading 150+ Chapters. I am no fanfiction writer either, so I think my opinion isn't "influenced"! Perhaps someone might say, that the language or the grammar use isn't that good, well, as a non-native speaker I can't judge on that one, but after all, its fanfiction not a professional writer's work and to me the language and grammer seems to be perfect!
I think that person just envies your talent for writing and having a great idea for a story and gets off if he can be the king of "You-don't-know-who-I-am" and insult you.
I only got one thing I would criticize, well let's say just something every fan wants: Please update soon!!!! ;)))
So long, I love that piece of work greetings from Germany (I hope my writing is at lea bia bit of readable)

I already told Serene that the anonymous reviewer was an idiot. Obviously this person is doing this just to be malicious. Most people know that the authors on AFF have the ability in their control panels to delete reviews if they so choose and would be the only reason why the review "disappeared". Obviously she read it and removed it. If the idiot was only concerned with making sure the author read the review to get "honest" constructive criticism, they wouldn't need to keep reposting it. That is done merely so the rest of the readers/reviewers can see it in some sort of attempt to humiliate the author. Grow up you fool. She got your review. She exercised her right to remove it from HER story. Stop reposting the damn thing again and again. You got your 15 minutes.

Serene: I love this story. I actually like the length because it's something to always look forward to. It's like a continuing drama on TV. A lot of other good stories, we all hate to see them end so this is grea be be able to keep reading. You write very well. You can spell, use proper grammar, weave an interesting plot, and have excellent character development. The last update had me in tears along with B and W at the end. Crappy writers' don't usually move readers to such emotion. How on earth, with all the shit fanfic that is out there, anyone, could even remotely accuse this story of being poorly written, is beyond me.

While I have been following this story for a long while now, I have never reviewed it before, but after reading what that wanker wrote to you, I'd just like to say that I do enjoy this story, I feel it is very well written. I like that it is so long, partly because it allows for character growth and development, and partly because you have carried this story beyond a quick happily ever after. I feel that had this story ended at that point, there would have been a number of loose plot points left dangling, (such as what happens when Angel tracks them down, when William finds out he was a vampire, etc.) and am glad you are taking the time to comtniue this story, especially when given such hateful comments. So thank you for writing and continuing this story, and I hope to see an update soon! ;-)

Oe joe joys of ANONYMOUS reviews. I personally have enjoyed each and every chapter of this fic and of one ordinary day. Please continue. I just recently re-found it and have read up to Chapter 125, I jumped to 155 to a r a review. I too write fanfic. I only have 1 i think maybe 2 posted here at aff. your writing is so much more mature. it has a depth of character, the narrative flows.

the plot line is complex yet easy to follow like all good story telling should be. You have stayed very true to the original characters and the premise is more than plasible. The interaction between CHaracters is layered with emotions and reaction so like real life.

So sorry that B? broke confidence with the rest of us readers that have been complaining about your absolute lack of ability to keep us interested. I personally have suffered through your entire story. It's only because you personally are holding a gun to my head that I read all these chapters at all. Stop that!

After not having any updates in... hmmmm?...FOREVER! That gun compelled me to get your e-mail and nag you to get back to work! Let's not forget that after reading Normal Day (A LONG TIME AGO!) I searched until I could find that damned story again because I kept remembering it! Stupid me - I found out you'd started Normal Life - which was enough to start me on another one of your horrible stories. Would you learn how to write faster! Oops, I mean more! No I meant to say stop writing these horrible, totally lacking in talent stories! So there! B should look into medication... or get layed!

Ok, well, it seems my last review got deleted somehow. Again. For the third time. (Honestly, ou cou can?t take criticism, don?t put your work on the net!) Let me see if I remember what I wrote.

Oh yeah. This story is too long. It hasn't been interesting for many chapters, and the writing simply isn't of very good quality. The fact that you have almost twice as many chappies as reviews should tell you something. Why don't you finish this offline and email it to the few people following it? Bandwidth on AFF is precious, and this story seems it will never end, nor ever get particularly readable. I realize there is a community of fanfic writers/readers who pat each other on the back and give unconditional positive regard, but someone needs to draw the line. This story isn't goFor For good, read Kallysten or Kantayra or Evenstar et al. And please don't give anymore of your fic to James. He doesn't care about our fanwanking! He doesn't read fic, no matter what he says! He's a nice guy that says he does, but there's no way he's going to wade through a million chapters of fanfic! And if he does, I don't think it's fair that you choose your stuff to represent the fanfic community, because intentional or not, it's what happens. This isn't meant be mean, but honest. No one is honest in their reviews anymore, and it's disgusting because how do you expect someone to get better if you keep telling them they're great?
