Chapter #5 Review:
Yeah, that's what this kind of a fake marriage really is, but arguably here's the most disturbing thing: Faith if really scary, to her "Spousal partner" would insist that when she forces herself on her, she's merely doing her "Wifely duty" as she'd insist that she's now "Willow's wife" but behind closed doors in their "Palace" things got both dark and sadistic really fast to begin with!
Plus, the type of woman to do that really is also going to be a hypocrite; hiding her evil conduct in plain sight and behind closed doors; and appearing to be sweet, loving, and charitable, when in reality she's an actual monster, and in their case: it is to their own family members!
Also, Faith's logic here is truly terrifying; she basically says to Willow that as she's now her "wife" she wants Willow to enjoy it when they literally rape eachother as she'd insist that she's the Redheaded gal's wife noless; arguably she'd also want to meet her new inlaws! That's going to go over well, as in NOT!
Especially when they find out that their kid had NO SAY in her "marriage" to another high-school girl; and believe you me: I can see quite clearly the whole scandalous mess that'd ensue when and if Faith "comes out" that she's now the new "Mrs. Willow Rosenberg"; to everyone in the school's shock, horror, and dismay!
Presumably the reason why the brunette supervillainess at this time is utterly destroyed by her deeds in this is that she basically, according to herself committed a form of "bridal lesbian marital rape" at their honeymoon; now that kind of highly hyper-immoral choice will ruin anybody's day, especially if they've got a human conscience at all!
Faith understated the deal; it's not merely like their wedding; what is going on really is their fake forcible "marriage".
That also explains why Richard Wilkins invited Buffy over; he would've stated that the brides would want their friends to witness their union as a "Happy Couple"... as if in fairytales, but a modern reading thereof; it stands to reason that that's what a broken princess would go for; and this would be also broken of her in a whole other way: part of her job task to inherit the office and family business is to become a wife and mother to her family job's heirs and heiresses; herein you've got two girls, yes, arguably underage as well; thus making it highly and hyper-questionable, even if their age of consent is reliable- that's a whole other question as well.
Yet the idea of Faith winding up "married" to Willow as part of Richard Wilkins' gambles; that is what that political sorcerer would do, too!
Chapter #4 Review:
Yeah, that about summarizes it, the really kind of hyper-abusive nature of this profoundly lustful fake marriage summarizes accurately the nature of that... it is clear, however profoundly unpleasant and also while accurate to the abusive nature of such relationships, profoundly unacceptable type of relationship... but that's the same whenever you've got not a loving marriage, but a lustful one!
Chapter #2 Review:
Well, Willow's nightmare just came true, not only has she been betrayed by her trusted pals; but she's just been told in no uncertain terms that Faith'll be her wife before the day's over!
Problematic it is, but the brilliant if also dark nature of the tale is something akin to fairytales with regard to a wicked princess retold in a bizarre way.
Chapter #1 Review:
Interesting, it seems as though Faith's basically kidnapped Willow and decided that she's going to become Willow's "wife"; she's acting like a completely evil princess in fairytales... good story concept for an evil regal stepdaughter: forcing her female captive to wed her is what such a bad lady would do!
The really weirdest idea of this involves a type of crossover, as if an alien royal from sci-fi, such as say "Charvanek" (the Romulan Commander in "The Enterprise Incident"), or "Mon-El" from "DC comics" were to stumble on this- either one could see that as the acting up that their social class's prone to; and it sounds as if loneliness is the root cause.
That's the more benevolent by far of the two solutions to loneliness, but really wicked at core: the other major possibility is that the individual becomes baseline sociopathic: then you really are dealing with a dangerous individual in the extreme, and one that the universe of "Buffy/Angel" would refer to as "the First Evil" and that rendition literally of Satan is the type to "play" with such a person to turn him into an actual monster... Faith's basically kind of the worst type of Yandere in a lot of ways!
But in the show she knows full well what she's dealing with when it visits her in the show, and is freaked out; she knew on some level what it was!
Chapter #3 review:
Well, I'm wondering if Faith's going to be kind of upset about Willow being the recipient of a tricked-into-marriage between the two teenage women; kind of well "miffed off" really; seeing as they were only informed that very day and almost hour by her "Pa" "Oh, yeah, and you're getting married today to another teenage girl from your class." kind of a raw deal overall.
Course, Faith's basically the town's evil princess; but still: being coerced or manipulated into a very overtly fake marriage is humiliating to all participants.
It's a very high-quality story idea overall; but this's going to cause a strange type of Stockholm Syndrome between the two teen women in this apparently forcible marriage.
Chapter #3 review:
Yeah, this's the type of *fake wedding* that such a social class as here Faith's kind of recast as the town's evil princess- the type of misbehavior is exactly the type that would go on: here it is the ultimate in fake marriages: a forced marriage!
I mean: as story material it is pretty good concept, but also highly criminal to basically blackmail *anybody at all* into a wedding.
Faith here is acting up exactly like the villain in a melodrama, well "villainess" of a particular type at that- go figure; but it will NOT be a happy family given that forced and thus fake "marriage" to put it mildly!
