oh, chap. 17 was hot! chap 18, Aw, poor Buffy thinking Spike might not want her. Luckily she doesn't run away or some misunderstanding didn't arise. Hey, yah, Wes and Winifred finally getting it on!

woooohoooo!!!!!!!!!! go dusty! =) been waiting for the major spuffy... go fred go! =D not much words for this chapter. except that it's a very exciting teaser. i'd be upset for lack of plot but i'm doing my happy dance because the action was really wicked cool! and buffy and spike really really really needed to get their groove on... teehee... (^_^)

Mind the smutty interlude?! Are you out of your ever lovin' mind darlin'?! How could any straight woman in her right mind, MIND a smutty interlude with Spike?! And poor Wes is really up against a force to be reckoned with in Fred! Good for her pushing him a little bit just to get him to loosen up! I can't wait for more! Keep up the good work!!!

I love smut :) I'm glad you didn't drag out Buffy's reluctance to have anything to do with Spike. And if Angel doesn't show up, it won't matter. Angel wanted to do everything proper, even with going to Buffy's father to get permission, so he should realize that "If you snooze, you loose," and also it's her dad's decision who she should marry, so he probably wouldn't have a chance anyway.

This is one of the best stories I've read. Esp. love how you have Buffy slowly fall in love with Spike, seeing that her love for Angel was an infatuation. I also loved the end of chap. 3, your beta's little "Buffy from the Hood" add on.

She looked like a madwoman -- pulling her silvery blonde hair at roots with her hands while attempting to brush a couple of tears she was desperately trying to blink back. Her midnight blue eyes danced wildly from their sockets. A wide grin was pasted on her face as her heart jumped erratically from her chest. The crescent moon sigil atop her forehead glowed radiantly in time with her heart. She was in a state of shock; of disbelief.

"how?... you!... I.." she stammered, her mind hazy from what she had just read. "You... I..." she started again, only to fail as miserably as she tried to convey her emotions. She couldn't process it. No, she could but she was adamant. She WOULDN'T processs any of it.

She closed her eyes, forcing herself to remember her place. *breathe serenity, breathe. just count to ten and breath.*

"How could you do this dusty?! How?!! How could you take us on a whirlwind of a chapter, leave us with a bat of those eyelashes to go with that heart-stopping cliffhanger, and expect everything to be okay?!" she shrieked, indignant. She was trembling with fear. She knew that the twenty three days she had waited for this chapter to come out was more than worth it, but she couldn't stop the words from tumbling out of her mouth; they wanted to come out on their own accord. "It was more of a rollercoaster ride than the ride at six flags could ever be! Do you know how that feels? Do you?! DO YOU?! I can't--"

*pulls serenity by the hair and smothers her under pillows*

okay, enough of that little snippet from princess serenity. i have to apologize for her. she's kind of demanding and cranky. She's really hard to reach; being my muse and all. She only comes out when she's inspired enough to want to be heard. But i loved this chapter; we both did. I'll go ahead and say all the things she couldn't. On with the review... here goes:

Thanks for answering my question on the trust. Thank you for letting it flow so gracefully, so honestly, and for making Spike say it as Spike would say it. You're right. He is a prideful man. Thanks for making Buffy the woman I want her to be; the woman who isn't afraid to take the leap for Spike. If Buffy would've been like that with Spike before the S7 finale, all our hearts would've turned to mush and praised Joss. But he wouldn't give it... So I'm thanking you... for making my heart turn to mush! *hugs* =D

But the intrigue is killing me! Who will Cecily turn to with that information. Since she can't hurt Buffy, who can she hurt? Will society shun Buffy for it? Can anyone hurt them more? I'd like to say that a lot of major developments came out at this chapter. I guess that's what my muse was screaming about. You left us at a major fork in the road there. No one wants to know that there's a bad guy whose plans are boiling over while we await the next chapter. So we know Cecily couldn't hurt them in the past. But what of now? Who can she turn to to hurt them both? Can she make Buffy renege from her promise?

You must admit, this chapter is kinda stomp worthy. You started off with a heart recovering from a rush (from the horseback riding), went on to achieve a heartbeat appropriate for a steady drumroll of alfred hitchcock score (with cecily's plotting)... plowed on to an erratic *forgive the reuse of word* dysrhythmic pounding with spike's confession and plunged in for a flatline as spike waited for buffy to declare him dead. But instead, doctor buffy pushed a gram of epi and shocked his heart with the paddles of a defibrillator (with her speech and her answer "yes!") and brought him back to life ("in time for him to capture her mouth in a searing kiss"). isn't that a woah! moment? doesn't it make you want to stomp around and demand what happened next?

i loved it. you went in for the kill dusty. our hearts are becoming erratic... they'll flatline soon if you don't push another gram of epi and shock us with a new and more astounding chapter. we're counting on you! =D

you were brilliant! *hugs* keep up the writing! thanks for inspiring the writer in me (as evidenced by the length of this review). more power to you! sorry for the rave! hope you like it. =D at the edge of my seat here waiting for the next chapter. don't let me crash! cheers! (^_^)

*Squeal* UPDATE!!! Ohhhh..... JOY!!! I've bee waiting for this!! What a wonderful chapter!! Thank you SO much for not having Buffy break poor Spike's heart. If you had, I would have been very upset with your muse!! I can not wait for more updates!!
