One of the best Spander stories I have read.  Touching and unusual, but anchored in such a believable reality that our familiar characters seemed at home.  Definite favorite..

Hey how did I manage to miss so many chapters? This is great! I can so see Spike's son with a headful of curls and a face like an angel. But really I can't see poor Poppie ever having pups. I hope someday they can all stay in humanoid form. Spike and Xander deserve to have a real family.

If he doesn't know Spike is there then what does he want with Xander? It isn't as if Xander has been hunting Vamps in Canada.

Favorite part was when spike kept moving back and forth on the stairs. I haven't finished the story but so far so good.

Can I cry now? Poor Xander and Spike. Together yet not. They remind a bit of the movie Swan Princess where she's a swan all day and human at night. Only this isn't a bad spell to be broken but a good spell to be endured.

Oh I'm so glad the story has gone the way it has been. Although I wish Willow answered more questions. Does Xander have a vamp's longevity? She did say Spike would live as long as Xander providing they were both healthy but wasn't specific enough. Is there any reason to believe future pups might change back and forth? I'm assuming this would cause them to decide for no more being put to stud. I like how Gracie's idea to limit Spike to dashes solved the he can't haul a sled at night problem. Hope there is more coming.

Man, If I was Xander, I would be so jealous of Spike because he still got to be with another dog, and...it would feel like cheating in a way. lol. I don't know why tho.

I am so happy Spike is better, and he is vamp at night and dog in day.

yipeee! Hurray! Hurrah! I love this. Now I have to know what Willow says. Is the duality permanent? Is this going to be the longest living dog ever or the shortest living vampire? Poor Xander nearly ended up celibate for life! With all the hints please tell me you are going to continue with the fight to restore balance? All those covens in trouble need help.

That is so sweet! I can just see Spike running silently after a car. Chasing it all the way just to make sure his firstborn son is safe and happy. Beautiful.

Thank you so much I have been waiting for this it feels like forever. I can't wait to see what happens next. I really hope you can give Spike to Xander as a person instead of a dog. Although I can see what it would mean to Spike to be able to be a father even if it is puppies. oh I'm also waiting for updates on Honorable Sons, All Over Again and Never Time Enough. Hope you get into a heavy duty writing phase as I really love your stories.
