Woo-hoo! A new chapter! Finally!!! And what a chapter it is!!! Amazing stuff! Touching, creepy - especially Cornell, he really is 12 grades scary - , surprising, intriguing... And of course you even threw in the emotional distress in the relationship of the lead characters. Plus, it will be interesting where Buffy will fit in at the end - good or evil...? And what will happen to that little rat Merrick...? So much stuff to look forward to... :-)

I know I've praised you on different occasions for your character portrayals in your different stories, you really do write amazing leads, but there's still room for more applause: I think you write an outstanding Cordelia! The Cordelia of "The Slayer" is probably the best interpretation of the character I've ever read. It's captivating, terrific writing!

Please don't wait another 8 months before you post the next chapter!

    Best,

    Emanuel

P.S.: You've re-posted "Summer of Faith" recently - is it the big rewrite you've been talking about for quite some time now? Or did you just make some minor adjustments?

Ahhhh, our dear friend Mr. Travers. What would a good fanfiction story be without our favorite stuck up, smart-ass bad-guy watcher? See, I knew there's more to come for this story!

By the way: thank you for your feedback on my feedback... :-) I really appreciate it! I already had figured out for myself that you must be using a different timeline for this story, it became obvious in a later chapter of the story. I just didn't bother to include my "enlightment" in a feedback post. It's a good thing for me as a big fan that you've got a couple more chapters already finished and ready for posting - as for the dry spells you've experienced while writing this story: I know 'em, believe me, I know 'em! Sneaky little bastards, these dry-spells: sneak up on you without you noticing anything and suddenly you're under their thrall, not able to write anything coherent. I had to deal with some dry spells of my own while writing my Doktorate... I feel your pain, so to speak... :-)

I have a hard time believing that there isn't much more happening plotwise in this story - I suppose that depends on one's definition of what's plot and what's not. In my eyes you've brought up so many (supporting) storylines and characters that it's almost impossible to simply kill the big bad and be done with it. Well, SOMEBODY might do that, but that's not your style - and waaaay below your level - of solving stories and plotlines. If I go through what has already been set in motion in "The Slayer" there are many more or less minor aspects you'll have to deal with: Merrick, Harmony the Vamp, Buffy/Faith, Travers, Angel, Spike, Cornell Chase, Cordy being half-demon (at least that's what I expect), Cordy/Faith troubles... To me that sounds like some really good stuff - and I'm sure I'm even forgetting some things!

Oh, I did read your two "Buffy finds her place" pieces, reviewed them, too. I do hope you'll continue it somewhere down the line (maybe while having a "Slayer" dry spell...?)! The same obviously goes for the whole "... of Faith" saga, though that's a completely different beast. With so much already having happened, I assume it would be a lot harder and more complex to write than a few new chapters of "Buffy finds her...". If you should continue the "... of Faith" saga please post a short recap of the previous parts in the prologue of the first chapter, otherwise I will have to read the whole saga again (not that that would be a bad thing). I've read so much of your stuff by now I sometimes forget what happened in which story... :-)

Again, really looking forward to the next chapters!

Ok, that's three really long chapters in three days... Guess you've got them on a shelf somewhere...? :-) As for the feedback: By now you know how much I love your writing, and chapter 27 is no exception. I guess there's much more to come in this great story and I look forward to reading every single word of it!

Wow, 26 is quite the chapter! Merrick is quite the storyteller, isn't he? And the confrontation between Cornell and Faith? Just great! Faith now knowing all the facts will have a hard time figuring out what to do next. And I'm so looking forward to the first meeting between Faith and Cordy, now that Faith knows Cordy's dad is the big bad.

By the way: two chapters in two days? Now that's what I call updating! Keep 'em coming!

This story rocks. It is the best Buffy fanfic I have ever read. Well-drawn characters, intricate plot, great action, and the hottest femslash romance I have ever seen in the Buffy-verse. If the story's not over, as long as you have the time and energy, I hope you will keep up the good work.

Finally, you're back with two new chapters! I was beginning to worry, you don't normally take that long before you update an ongoing story. The update (chapters 24 + 25) itself is great, a seamless continuation of the ongoing storyline and the plot development. Not much Faith/Cordy in it, but you put Buffy on the scene and showed us how Cronell's plans seem to unfold perfectly. It will be interesting to see how Faith reacts to Giles confession - I assume she won't believe him, then somehow the demon side in Cordy shows, Faith will remember what Giles told her, fall back into her "life hates me & I can't find love" routine until in the heat of a crisis Cordy shows Faith that she really loves her and thus brings them back together to defeat Cordy's dad. Am I close...? :-) Look forward to the next chapters! Great writing!

Finally, I'm up to speed on this great story. Chapter 23 was fun, especially how well Cordy handled the whole "forced" coming-out. Also, Faith finally fell in love with Cordy, everything looks peaches on the relationship front. Knowing you that most likely means within the next two chapters they'll have their biggest crisis emerge and threaten their relationship...

You've been hinting at a Spike appearance for a couple of chapters now, so it wasn't to surprising when he finally showed up. Will be interesting to see what his agenda is and how long he'll do Cordell's dirty work. Knowing Spike, he doesn't do that well with the whole "taking orders, obeing authorities" thing.

And Buffy's attitude - Cordy, Faith and her are going to have a blast... :-) Looking forward to the next chapter! Hopefully I won't have to wait too long (hint, hint)...?

Ok now, end of Chapter 21 - loving every aspect of this story! Amazing, how you manage to prolong the Faith/Cordy get togehter part. Even by your standards that has to be something close to a new record. And considering that you ALWAYS throw a major curveball when a couple seems to be happy, guess the best is yet to come for F & C. Guess the whole Cordy's dad is the big bad and she is half super-demon will, in combination with your characters "never talk about anything with anybody, especially the people closest to you" approach that surely will make for some great drama.

And how about Will drooling over Faith? Poor Xan-Man seems to be on the outs yet again. And that's before Buffy shows up in Sunnydale and almost two years before Will runs into Tara (always assuming that the timeline has taken us somewhere near the end of a "Season 1" so far)...

By the way: which father would make his 17 year old daughter stand before him totally naked without telling her to cover up? AND have a hard on from looking at his daughter?! Seriously creepy mental image... Guess that's what you get from being some sort of Hell God or uber-Demon. Poor Cordy, and there she is, thinking that her fall from (public) grace due to her relationship with Faith would be a real pain in the ass... :-)

    Well, good times all around!

I've reached the end of Chapter 11 and things are unfolding quite intriguingly. The Cordy/Faith emotional angle is in full bloom, a certain blonde has found it's way into the story - although not yet into the main storyline - and Queen C's dad is the second coming of Glory. How great is that?! On to the next chapters... :-)

One more thing: I got a good chuckle out of Faith's men-dog metaphor. It's always enlightening to read how you girls see us men... :-)

Ahhh, love this story! And the best part - if you really plan on doing the whole 7 seasons, there's soooo much more to come! I'm already curious about who you'll pair Faith up with first: Willow and Xander will be the first couple, that's pretty obvious. I assume they'll split up eventually and Faith and Will could end up together. Somehow I don't see Faith/Angel happening, at least not on a romantic basis. Remembering how insecure and shy Angel was in Season 2 I can't imagine Faith falling for him or him not being scared to death of her self confidence. Angel of "Angel" Season 5 would be something totally different, but hey, that's a long way down the road. Not to forget are Cordy's lips which felt ticklish after Faith smooched her and of course sooner or later you'll add a certain blonde to the mix... So much to look forward to, terrific!!! Great story so far!

Ok, just finished the first chapter. So far, so great. Lots of good stuff, funny dialogues and an interesting dynamic between Will and Faith. And the whole "Hold the intro thing": soooooo cool, that would make great TV!!! Looking forward to the next chapters!

Why do I have a feeling that the sex just made things a whole lot more complicated?

And Buffy coming to SD soon?
