I guess I struck a nerve, huh? It may have been heartfelt on your part, but I didn't find it heartfelt or touching. I always thought "stupid" didn't need an explanation either. I thought the story was poorly written and unbelievable, even for the Buffyverse. First of all, if Dru had killed Joyce and turned her, don't you think that Buffy would kill her (Dru, that is) without hesitation? I can accept that she wouldn't want to kill her mother, but to let her torture her and Dawn. She is the slayer, you know, and since Joyce is newly turned, she would be weak for a vamp, so I think Buffy could handle her. I can see where you were trying to go with this. I just didn't think you got there. And no, I don't have a problem with happy endings. In fact, I prefer them.
